This was a very nice restaurant in terms of ambience and service, but it is a little bit too expensive for what you get.
We were looking forward to our dinner and views at the Echoes Restaurant. However about an hour before our dinner time a heavy mist and fog came over the mountains. Our view was reduced to nil. But the food made up for the lack of view. All three of us really enjoyed the food which was delicious as well as lovely presentation. The service was especially pleasant, our waitress made us feel very comfortable and looked after us very well. Altogether an enjoyable dinner.
Great decor, wonderful view, excellent food but the wine list could be a bit more extensive.
Superb cuisine, good service and reasonable value
We knew it’d be a tourist trap but expected to dine with a view of the Jamison Valley; however it was in an interior room with black wallpaper.
The food was way overpriced ($115 for three courses and $85 for two). That meant the pear tarte tatin with the tiniest scoop of ice cream cost $30. Portions were small - it’s nouvelle cuisine there.
If dinner had cost $75 it would’ve still been overpriced for the quality. The Moet et Chandon served by the glass was flat and was from a bottle opened the night before but, to be fair, it was replaced when we complained.
A very enjoyable dining evening. The service was first class, the food lovely, and the ambience and view wonderful. If I were to make a suggestion, it is that the COVID-safe sign in needs an alternative to the requirement to have mobile internet connection. Either provide a paper sign in, or, since the booking was online, be able to take it from that process.
Excellent food, totally enjoyed, service was great as well ... great menu and good selection of drinks
It was a very pleasant experience. The food and the service were excellent.
We had a wonderful birthday night. The view was beautiful, the staff was very friendly, the dishes were all delicious. We also did not feel crowded during this Covid time. The choice of the music was probably the only small negative.
Excellent dining experience
A fantastic place to watch a sunset over the mountains. Food and service was great views breathtaking.
Wonderful views and excellent service. Yummy food. A lovely place to celebrate our anniversary.
Tourists get better service than us locals did.
Meals are extremely small for the cost but the food was good quality
Too be charge 1.5% to use a credit card is a terrible how else can you pay today
A beautiful birthday lunch. Every morsel was tasty. Highly recommend Echoes.
We had a great dinner, food was great, excellent service and very attentive to our needs
Beautiful food and wine with a magnificent view...
Awesome fine dining experience set in the magnificent blue mountains. Great to retire to the fire for a post-dinner beverage or two.
The menu was varied and well put together and there was a reasonable selection of wine, the service was good and the ambience matched the setting.
My husband and I had high hopes for this restaurant.
We’ve eaten at some of the top restaurants in the world - 7 star hotel in Dubai amount others.
We had a nice table by the window however it was a little chilly, the heaters were on but only reached one side of our bodies.
Fresh clean linen tables clothes and napkins were crisp and clean.
Battery powered candles on the table are very cheap and a very poor excuse for the real thing.
The staff were friendly and attentive - Roberto was our waiter, he had a pleasant table manor .
Our starters were well presented - my husband has scalps and I had the duck.
More sauce would have given the dishes more flavour.
For mains, my husband had the steak - he asked for medium rare and got medium. He said it was quite bland. The thick chips were dry and powdery.
I had the lamb racks - I asked for rare, one rack was medium and the other was well done which was very disappointing for the price of the meal. Any good chef should be able to cook a protein in the requested manor.
We both left disappointed and sadly will not return or recommend this restaurant - we both expected a much better cooked protein.
Service, ambiance and food were all wonderful. Had a lovely night celebrating our friend's 60th birthday.
This restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff. The food was well presented and tasty. An excellent night out.
Awesome place. Been there a few times and always amazing. Go at sunset for spectacular views.
Great food in an absolutely fantastic location - outstanding views in a very comfortable env well protected from the elements. Pricey, but highly recommend.
I had asked for table near mountain view while booking, but when we arrived they had already given it to some else.
Fantastic steak. Our waitress Sofi was amazing. Waited a little longer to be seated but kept very comfortable next to an open fire.
Food nice but very overpriced and better to support local staff in a local restaurant rather than 407 visa staff. Lookout better for view
Waitress very rude and unhelpful - it was only for another waiter Huy that stopped me from walking out
food was nice - soup was particularly good and generous serving
The food was amazing! The portions were perfect and the flavour was so well balanced with every element on the plate. The service made us feel very special and welcome. Sofi our waitress gave great recommendations and was lovely to chat with. We can’t wait to experience this place again next mountains visit!
Excellent food and service
Great service, amazing views with a fantastic atmosphere
We had such a nice evening and would most definitely go again
Food was amazing !!
Wonderful views during the day- dinner was enjoyable.
The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. We really enjoyed listening to the music being played on the piano while we ate. Wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Really excited to dine there again soon!
Incredible views, wonderful service and delicious food.
Phenomenal setting for a restaurant, especially at sunset. The food was fabulous, with rather substantial serving sizes as well which is often rare given the quality of food. 100% would recommend.
Amazing views and food. Very quiet. Service is outstanding.
When the food hit my mouth I forgot where I was on the planet and I was sober. Beautiful atmosphere, it was raining on the roof also which probably helped too so short of making it rain more can’t fault Echoes.
Very beautiful location with stunning views during the day and a large cosy fire in the evening, lovely spot for a pre-dinner drink. Attentive and friendly staff and nice food.
Food service was very quick. A little slow on the drinks service however it was a very busy night. The food itself was great; good portion sizes. The staff were very friendly, polite and quick to respond.
This was a lovely restaurant. Food was excellent and service very attentive too.
