Great concept, and excited to see more restaurants like Eden come to Syracuse but more importantly, Downtown. Celebrated a friend's birthday, great options for both our dietary needs.
Great food and service, as usual. We got the scallops, coq au vin, and the butternut squash ravioli. Simple food, well prepared.
Atmosphere was unique, food was decent. However, we were reminded at least four times that another reservation was coming in behind us. We felt very rushed, and it put a damper on our mom’s night out.
The food is always excellent. James is the best host and always provides a great wine recommendation. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Loved the hospitality of Dean and Brian. Will not hesitate to return!
The service was great! The food is always fresh & amazing! I love being able to go there for celebrations!
Everything is cooked over an open wood fire. The smoke adds a nice subtle touch to everything. There aren’t many restaurants we actually review. When you find a Jem like this we just have to sing their praise! Have been a few times now and have enjoyed their seasonal locally sourced offerings immensely.
We absolutely LOVED Eden! Everything g was fresh and flavorful. The staff was exceptional!
An absolutely flawless meal. Eden offers an incredible concept unlike any other restaurant in central New York. Their use of an open fire kitchen and local ingredients offers a stunning look at what our state has to offer. From locally sourced proteins and produce, to wine and spirits, Eden highlights the flavors of each element extremely well. Our server, James, is such a pleasure and really helped make our meal wonderful. While I am stuffed right now, I cannot wait to see what they have in store on our next visit.
Everything apart from the temperature of the steak was great. Ordered rare and got medium well. Otherwise, fantastic experience.
Second time back since last week. Amazing food!
By far the best meal we've had in Syracuse, start to finish. Not only was everything very good, it was surprising how good it was. Completely surpassed our expectations. The steak was tender, cooked perfectly and and tasted fantastic! The homemade goat cheese ravioli was beyond impressive. Loved the food, friendly staff and very cool atmosphere. Overall, this was a great experience and we will be frequent guests.
Wonderful meal. Whatever you do, order the scallops as a starter.
Beautiful space and entrees were excellent. Salad with champagne vinaigrette as well. Amuse bouche was pretty but bland and dessert was a little disappointing. A hot apple item that had the flavor of chili powder in it. Just used a little too much. Felt like I had just eaten tacos when it was done. Great, friendly service and good job at keeping the space COVID safe. Finally, excellent cocktails and wine selection.
This is by far the BEST restaurant in all of Syracuse.
1st time there was last week and on my way back tonight!
In my not so humble opinion, this is the best restaurant in Onondaga County, and I'm not shy about telling people about it. Every aspect of this restaurant is top notch, and the fact that they support local products is just a bonus.
The mushroom toast is just bananas. If you go, order an extra one and bring it to me, please.
Memorable, outstanding- one of the best dining experiences around. Highly recommend!
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back!
Delicious meal and great service (James was our server and was very helpful.) The only downside is the limited menu which could be a challenge for a non-adventurous diner.
James is an amazing server. Food was absolutely delish!
I’ve dined at this establishment several times and I am always pleased with the food and service!
It was my first time here. Everything was delicious. Staff were super nice and attentive. Money well spent.
We have been here twice and had a great experience both times. The food is creative and delicious and the service was excellent. Perfect place for a date night. We will be back soon!
Absolutely delicious as always! Amazing service, a wonderful experience!
Amazing gem in SYRACUSE! The grilled octopus was amazing and the Panna Cotta took me back to Italy. A must on your dining list.
Absolutely outstanding food and service every time. I love coming here and it is 100% worth the price.
Delicious food and great waiter. Loved the grilled halloumi especially.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Drinks were a little pricey.
We'd heard great things and decided to try Eden for our anniversary dinner. We were not disappointed. We had an early reservation on a Wednesday night, and pretty much had the place to ourselves (thanks, COVID). The service was excellent and we loved the space - can't wait to go back when there's a bigger crowd. The food was simple and beautifully prepared. There was a roasted beet amuse-bouche that was delicious. We got the scallops starter, which was, again, simple and perfectly executed. I ordered the half-chicken and my partner had a steak. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and will be back again soon. Eden is a wonderful new addition for Syracuse.
Excellent service, excellent presentation, excellent flavor, excellent drinks, excellent experience.
Food and service were both amazing. Can’t wait to experience a full menu once the entire Covid time is done. Tried ne of each item on the menu that evening as well as a local bottle of wine and wine t was all great. Steak was cooked to perfection as were the scallops All small plates were very tasty and definitely did not leave hungry. Thank you for a great dining experience
It’s a seasonal farm to table restaurant that cooks everything over an all wood fire. Small changing menu executed with perfection and served with a smile. Couldn’t of asked for a better anniversary dinner.
Best food in Syracuse. Small menu, but everything is delicious.
We made the reservation for 8:30 on open table we were seated at 8:45 we didn’t get our first drink till 9:28. Our drinks were empty for 20 minutes we asked another waiter to get our waiter and he literally never came over. We were one of two tables in the restaurant. We almost wondered if we were being filmed luckily we laughed about it. The food was wonderful though but probably wouldn’t go back. Our last three After dinner drinks were inedible none of us could drink them. We left there and paid $400 and still left 20 percent tip for good food but probably worst service we’ve ever received in a restaurant. And I have to say I’ve never written a review like this as being a bartender myself but it was so blatantly obvious we were being ignored it’s almost like we were on hidden camera
70 degrees in late October sitting outside in Syracuse’s Hannover Square at Eden was outstanding with impeccable food and friendly service. Craft cocktails, fresh food perfectly prepared.
The place is pretty good and is definitely worth a visit but I didn't find it all that amazing given the reputation. Our appetizers (butternut squash ravioli) were good but only luke warm. Our mains (grilled bok choy and strip steak) were hit and miss. The steak was cooked nicely and the dish made sense in composition. The bok choy was disappointing. I think the issue is that this place is built around open fire cooking, was founded on animal proteins, and has not really yet succeeded in welcoming vegetarians. If the philosophy is stripped down rustic food, why add soy sauce jelly? That aside, if you're leaning into asian flavor profiles there (bok choy and soy), why then add pureed butternut squash? The dish just didn't really make sense together. Finally the apple crisp was a bit disappointing. Again, I think the concept didn't quite work. I get that it was supposed to be rustic but it was so overloaded with herbs (did I taste lavender?) it was a bit like chewing on potpourri. All that said, I'm not trying to be totally negative. The concept is good and the execution on the basics (like cooking a steak) is great. I just think it could be tightened up a bit so the details are right.
This was our first time eating at Eden. We will be back! Don and Renee
Great place to eat! Limited menu for the time being but everything was excellent.
We love dining at Eden. It is a dining experience that is truly special. The food and drinks are crafted from local sources, and deliciously wielded by Chef. It is always a fantastic evening spent at Eden.
ALWAYS AMAZING
