   Great food. $$ to $$$ pricing. Really crowded for brunch and were understaffed. Service was good once they got to the table. I'd go back but not during peak time

   Food was decent, nothing special…… pricey for the food they were providing! We had a reservation at 1:15 for brunch. Seated promptly…. It was my husband, me and 3 teenagers. I ordered 1 drink, husband ordered a coffee… ordered 2 apps… sat for almost 45 minutes after before they took our food order… was able to finally get out of there by 4:30… over 3 hours for a simple meal should never take that long!!! They gave us a dessert for our troubles, and we didn’t once complain, so they realized they were neglectful. They may be short staffed, it didn’t appear that way, I don’t think i would return….

   This is my 4th time coming here and the past 3 times i had Luis and he has always been phenomenal. However, this time we were sat in a different servers section and i couldn’t even tell you their name because she or he.. never greeted us. After 20 minutes we seen Luis and he swooped in and saved the day. the food and drinks are always wonderful. definitely will always request luis.

   Food was amazing and the drinks were really good as well. We had to move because half of our party cancelled and I think that was confusing for the server since we were out of his section but he was still taking care of us. Food took a while to arrive as well. Decently priced

   I usually enjoy my experiences here and I understand that food normally does take a while to come to the table. My mother came in to town and I brought her here. We had a 2:30 reservation got in and sat by 2:35. We did not receive food until 3:45. Our server came by the table ONCE to apologize for the wait after we had been waiting for 30 minutes and did not come back until after we were almost done eating. The food was hot and tasty was the one redeeming grace. No manager came by to apologize I probably will not be back and will advise others not to as well.

    Went on a Friday night. Very live and loud. Could hear my wife sitting across from me but had to raise voice a bit. Ate the croquetas, roasted chicken, and the leches soaked sponge cake. All delicious!! Live music was great!

    Overall was ok. Very very expensive for a cuban restaurant. The waitress did not return my credit card, after leaving I called the restaurant 25x and no one answered the phone. I had to cancel my card.

    First time here, came for restaurant week to take advantage of discounted menu. Ambiance is truly a 10/10. GOOD live music happening multiple days in the week. My only real complaint is that even though I made a reservation I still had to wait 15-20 minutes in order to get seated. Waiter and staff were nice and attentive. Food was delicious. Would definitely come back.

    A wonderful restaurant. Very nice, friendly staff. Food is tasty and plentiful. Has become after 2 visits one of my favorite restaurants. Will return regularly.

    Had the best time ever celebrating with my husband and his 60th birthday celebration! Everything was perfect! The food, the service, the excitement and energy and music was awesome!!! Definitely will be back!!

    Had a wonderful brunch hanging out with friends. We enjoyed the very delicious food and drinks. Not pictured: Mimosas were very delicious, the Avocado Toast topped with the salmon was outstanding and quickly became a favorite, the Croquetas were very flavorful and burn your mouth HOT so be careful. Our friend had Masitas de la Loma which was one of the best pork dishes we’ve tried! The beef in the Ropa Vieja Benedict was very tender and full of delicious flavors.

    Went there for the fisrt time with some Latin friends for Queen Feast. Appetizers were great. Main course was ok. Bar was really slow. Drinks took approx. 25 to get to the table every time we ordered. Music was fun, although a little too loud that you couldn't have a conversation at the table. Was truly put off by the amount of times everything stopped for the staff to sing happy birthday to someone. Counted about 10 times in 2.5 hours.

    Had a great time at El Puro, the live band and dancing was awesome! Food and ambience were perfect. My only suggestion would be not having the tables so close to the dance floor because one of the people at my table got bumped by dancers a couple times which wasn’t that big a deal for us because we were having a great time but others may not feel the same way. Empanadas, garbanzo beans and rice, filet mignon and drinks were excellent ( El Jibaro and Mojitos) I’ll be back!

    Everything about El Puro was fabulous. The energy, the food and the staff were simply amazing. It is a hidden treasure in Charlotte. We can't wait to go back.

    We came for Restaurant Week dinner, but serving staff was unsure what was included and didn’t recommend the special cocktail, which we wanted because $1 of the cost was supposed to be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank. The food was delicious and plentiful.

    service was very very slow. Music was way too loud. It is a dance bar and was not easy to enjoy food when we could not hear the waitress. The waitress pointed out on the menu what was on the Restaurant week menu and seemed very unsure that she was getting it right. They ran out of cream brûlée which is crazy. we did get one for the table but it tasted nothing like traditional cream brûlée. Overall - we will not be going back. The chicken was full of small bones and the pork was so fatty - we could not eat it.

    Overall we had a good time. Our server was nice but appeared to forget to put our drink order in as it took close to 20 min to get our drinks. The drinks were very good and she had fairly good attention after that. It was very busy so also trying to be understanding of that. The empanadas were amazing. The entrees were pretty good as well. The live music and energy was fun, it was loud so talking with friends was difficult but this was our first time and would expect the noise next time, overall a fun night out with friends!

    Food and environment were nice. However, band was way too loud to have conversation at the table without yelling at one another. Experience would be much better if band music was background not forefront, especially prior to 9pm crowd. We had a reunion with old work colleagues but could not hear each other so we left prematurely so we could hear each other and catch up. If the music had been toned down we would have had after dinner cocktails and chatted longer.

    Really great interesting food! So flavorful and outside the box. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Also the service was exceptional so friendly and helpful as well as attentive to what we needed. All around great experience that I highly recommend.

    Growing up in a Cuban household, I was looking forward to checking it out. Great lighting and ambience. Food service was quick and offerings typical of Cuban fare. The live music on a Tuesday night was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, it was difficult to have an enjoyable conversation with our guests because music was incredibly loud and most of the music sadly was not Cuban or latin by any means. Our server was lovely but unfortunately we waited for our check that never came until asked for (15 min later) which made it awkward. Overall tho, we had a lovely time and would come back.

    The experience at El Puro was great. They had a live band playing and couples joined in and danced. The food was worth it, we ordered the Ropa Vieja & the Filet and both were delicious.

    I was excited to try and find a great food spot. I had the snapper and it was just over seasoned, fresh fish doesn’t need much. The table had the coffee flan and guava cheesecake and didn’t enjoy them. The passion fruit mojitos were great, we enjoyed the chicken empanadas and my husband enjoyed his chicken entree. The live music was a plus!

    I had a super fun birthday party at El Pura. They accommodated our table of 8 inside so we could enjoy the music . They bring a dessert to the table with a large firework and singing that makes the occasion so special. I felt the food was just okay but I am not familiar with Cuban food so I felt it was bland . Entrees come with two sides but we did not find a side that wowed us with flavor . I would go back for drinks and appetizer .
