Excellent as always

The only issue we had was that our pork chops and pollo fundido lacked some of the usual fajita seasoning. Otherwise, all good.

Always an excellent meal here with excellent service. Great to find such service during the pandemic. Glad they are open and serving indoors. Don't hesitate to try El Serrano - York if you haven't already. Salsa and chips are excellent.

Valentines Day dinner for my husband and I- service was slow and inattentive. All other servers visited their tables to offer a “last call” as the bar is required to close early due to COVID. Our server came 15 minutes too late so we only got one drink the entire night. Food was of good portion-sizes but pretty bland. I’ve also been to the restaurant in Lancaster and had a much better experience.

Food was adequate, service was decent. I think the quality overall has really gone down hill since COVID. They now have a cheaper liquor license so the options are very limited.
There were like 7 different types of bourbon but not one vodka selection. Very few wine options as well.

The food is authentic and fabulous every time I come here. One of my favorites for sure!

Been enjoying El Serrano for 15 years now. The family and I patronize at least once a week if not more. Absolutely love the owners and their wonderful attentive staff. Not to mention the food is out of this world! Never had a dish I didn’t enjoy!

Service was ok

Went there at 6:00PM on Saturday to get ahead of the busy time. Great food and service as usual.

One of the best restaurants in York. I took my mother there for her birthday and we enjoyed everything!

I eat there regularly. This time they delivered the wrong salmon dinner selection but when the correct one came out it was one of the best Salmon Serrano dinners I ever had there...

Food is very consistent, but presentation is just lackluster for the price. Charging extra for substituting vegetables for rice or whatever. Drinks were small but prices high.

A staple in York for decades, El Serrano-York delivers a worthwhile dining experience.

Excellent, authentic Peruvian and Mexican cuisine, served in an unassuming dining room. We went for a birthday dinner and were not disappointed! The margaritas we ordered were an great start!

Unassuming location in a strip mall however, Great service and food, great atmosphere. I would recommend.

My name is Penny not Colleen....however, everyone was so nice and pleasant, our waitress was a gem.....nice young lady. I love the Cheeseburger, I'm not wild about mexican/pervuian food, however, I love that my friends can enjoy their food and I can enjoy a cheeseburger.

My meal was excellent! Compliments to the chef who created a succulent pork chop to go with the other items on my platter. Diana was attentive and accommodating, as it was my first in-restaurant dining since CV-19 arrived.

Ate over 100 times here and NEVER had a bad meal . Atmosphere and service are superb.

Overall my experience was good but I hope they could have more vegan options and have a mark fo GF, Vegetarian and Vegan food next to the menu item. I know they have a whole”Vegeteriano” section but it didn’t indicate if it’s just vegetarian or vegan.

We’ve gone to El Serrano many times, this past time our waitress was not very friendly & did not check back often enough.

Diana was our server. She was excellent! We wanted Peruvian fare and she took the time to thoroughly explain each entree. She was attentive, but not too much. She presented the dessert tray and gave us good feedback on the offerings. We complimented her for the fine service.

The food was absolutely amazing! I don't remember the names of the dishes we had. My appetizer was shrimp in a garlic sauce and was to die for! I would've loved it for a main course if it was a larger serving. My husband's main course was tilapia topped with crabmeat and was delicious! The service was pretty good. Our waitress was sweet and attentive, if a little forgetful when we asked for things. Overall I was very impressed with our first visit!

El Serrano always delivers quality food and service. Dana was our server this past Monday and she did an awesome job. My favorite dish is Pollo Fundido. I highly recommend this place.

It took forever to be seated and then the food was subpar and not the best for the prices. The Lancaster restaurant is so much better and offers a better all around experience from my experiences.

The food quality is always very inconsistent at El Serrrano and this time it was poor.
The serving size keeps getting smaller and the prices keep going up.

We love the cooking here and great meals

Tried the Lancaster location and we weren’t impressed, so we thought we’d try the original York location. We weren’t thrilled. Service was decent, but not romantic. The harsh lighting used in the main dining room is more commonly used in big box stores than restaurants. The food is more Peruvian than Mexican. The prices are a bit steep for both York County and what you get portion-wise. We’d rather drive the extra hour and a half to Philadelphia for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Our server was on the ball. We had drink refills before we were out. She was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall great experience.

This is my second visit with my extended family. As was characteristic of the first visit, our entrees were excellent! Thank you! 😊

We love this restaurant. The food is consistently good as well as the service. The seating is a little close but it adds to the atmosphere. The fajitas never disappoint and their authentic recipes are always good. One change is that they only serve their restaurant wines. Not sure what that was all about but you have to walk to a back room in the restaurant to get your wine, wait staff could not bring it to you. It’s been a little while since our visit so maybe this changed.
