The 1st Course (Madai Sashimi and Scallop) and the 2nd Course (Steamed Halibut and 48 hour Short Rib) were pretty good, but the 3rd Course (Cheesecake and Chocolate Tart) were very disappointing, especially the Chocolate Tart, not good at all.
Our Mother's Day brunch was truly exceptional. The staff was courteous and the food was delicious. The outdoor dining experience felt safe.
Very unique experience.. amazing to say the least! You feel as if you are the only one in the restaurant with 6 waiters taking care of every need. And that’s just the small things talking about the food it was literally the best food I’ve ever had in my life. My wife and myself went on Mother’s Day weekend for a date night and Mother’s Day gift they wrote her a hand written card saying happy mother’s. My wife is also pregnant and I called in advance to let them know of the dietary restrictions and they CREATED HER OWN PERSONAL TASTING MENU!!! Simple amazing in every aspect. Highly recommended!!
The outdoor seating did not have enough heaters
The food was excellent
Best to go with the wine selections if you decide on the prefixe menu
This was an unbelievable experience! So many flavors in each plate and beautiful presentation. If you are a foodie - this is a place for you. The service was outstanding and the wine list was perfect as well. Truly a 5 star ⭐️ place!
Will be back!!!!
Amazing restaurant with incredibly good and high quality food
Excellent food and beautifully crafted. Price was way high though.
Outstanding tasting menu and dining experience
This is a foodies paradise with a great view of hustle and bustle of downtown princeton. The food is sublime and the service is attentive. For our visit we did a 5-6 course tasting menu (with two bonus amuse bouche).
The menu consisted of wallfleet oysters and ponzu, madai prepared 4 ways, scallop and fennel, monkfish with leek, wagyu ribeye smoked over hickory, and a honey lemon tart with goat cheese ice cream and cranberry puree.
Everything was so delicious. Our favorite was the Madai which showed just how versatile and delicious the fish could be. A close second would have to be the perfectly cooked wagyu ribeye.
We highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion (special or not)
Always exceptional.. a foodies must!
Glad to be back after more than a year of darkness. Great cooking and service. Let’s move forward!
Excellent food. We did the five course tasting menu but we did the vegetarian version. I think the price should have been lower than the tasting menu including fish and premium beef cuts. Each course we novel and tasty. The dessert was our favorite - vanilla ice cream with a sweet cheese and honeycomb. We felt highly overdressed in a suit and summer dress with heels.
I would return but prefer to do a la carte especially if there are any dietary restrictions.
The food was amazing! Every course was unique and delicious. Honestly, it was a lot of food and much more than we were expecting. We went home full and happy!
Service and food were fantastic
Ambiance was excellent. Had the tasting menu. Unique experience. Best oysters i have ever had. Service was excellent . All COVID-19 protocols were adhered to. Had the quarantine drink; wasn’t my favorite but definitely got my money’s worth. Overall great experience. Will definitely go back again.
Job done to perfection, we will be back!
Truly special place. The food and service are outstanding. The atmosphere is enchanting. We both loved it. Anniversary dinner.
Amazing staff. Food met every expectation and more! Delicious and diverse!
The food was spectacular and the service was sublime.
Romantic, special, great for celebration of a special occasions.
Due to covid and cold weather we had not had the pleasure of dining at Elements in approximately 4 months. Previously, we had enjoyed eating at their improvised outdoor tables several times. Accordingly, we were uncertain if it would be as impressive with everything that's gone down since. Now vaccinated, we felt safe to return to an inside table. Our joint verdict was that the current tasting menu, plus the amuse bouche, was maybe the best meal we've ever experienced at Elements -- and over the years we have had many that were phenomenal. The creativity, the maxed out flavors, the overall skill in the kitchen, the wine list (and innovative cocktails), and the flawless service make this New Jersey's best restaurant.
We hadn’t been here in a long time, back when they were at their old location. We did the tasting menu and It was amazing! The food was so good and so worth the price! We were hesitant because we didn’t have such a great experience the last time but this time it completely made up for it. Definitely a great place for a special occasion. Very romantic and intimate atmosphere upstairs. By the end I was so full I wish I had paced myself better BUT THE BREAD WAS SO GOOD! Definitely come hungry because it will be so worth it with so many great dishes and complex flavors. Highly recommend. We will be back!
Food is great, the chef is excellent! The service was outstanding! We tried a fixed menu, with wine pairing, some of the wines were outstanding, but some not. You may choose to order your own wine to best fit your taste. A lovely place, highly recommend the food and chef!
Perfect for a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.) it was very romantic and you did not leave hungry at all! Everything was outstanding. My favorite was the caviar, and all the seafood, fish and even the steak to finish. The deserts were rich and delicious.
Great experience overall from the food to the staff.
Food was delicious, wine pairing was great, and service and staff were once again so wonderful!! Look forward to being back soon.
The food was delicious and the wait staff was on top of everything. As soon as our water glasses were low they would be over to fill it up. Everyone was very pleasant and kind. I loved the open kitchen concept and the chefs were super chill and relaxed which is different from most hectic, loud, and crazy busy kitchens. My favorite part was the dessert, but I’m super biased because I love sweets. Overall it was a great experience and amazing food.
I actually felt like I was in the Netflix series, The Chef's Table. The experience was worth every penny. We did the 5 course meal and we got way more food than we expected. It was hard not to try the bread even though we wanted to save room. Everything from start to finish was prepared and looked like artwork. My absolute favorite was the Wagyu beef dish and the blueberry dessert as seen in the pictures. Kudos to the staff and servers who made the experience flawless.
This was my second time dining at elements and it was just as great as I remembered. We had the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was delightful from start to finish. Easily one of the best restaurants in all of NJ.
Foodie fabulous. The chef creates not just palate pleasure but works of art. May be on the pricey side but worth every penny as it’s not just dining; it’s an experience.
Claudia and the staff took exceptional care of us this evening. I always marvel at the fact that Chef Anderson is able to accommodate my vegan lifestyle. I appreciate that more than words can say. The food is always amazing and the service is bar non.
Thank you as always for a fabulous meal.
As tasting menus go, the one we had at Elements was conservative--even the wine pairings, while uniformly consonant with their respective courses, and wonderfully varied and creatively chosen, were culinarily far more in unison with the foods' flavors than in harmony with them. Creating a tasting menu in a pandemic would be especially stressful, as Elements' nine tables were 2/3 empty throughout our three-hour Saturday-night dinner: it's an act of immense courage and food-love that they've continued in the face of all of the hardships. Several courses were marvelous; neither of us found any of them transporting. But we plan to return, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do WHEN the pandemic is just a memory....
Fabulous from start to finish. The wine pairing is a must.
Had a lovely experience. Food and service was impeccable.
One of the best meals that I can remember, and I travel the globe for great restaurants. Originality, care, freshness - and the wine pairings were exceptional. I felt a very special sense of being spiritually nourished, the way you feel when you behold great art.
We had dinner at Elements on a Saturday evening in October in their outdoor seating. The service team did an great job of creating a safe space to eat (they were masked/gloved and tables spaced far enough apart). They did a good job of trying to create a special atmosphere while essentially eating in Witherspoon St (privacy screens, painted the concrete barricades, plants). As always, the food was outstanding. There was a long delay between two of the courses and as the night went on, the staff seemed to disappear a bit, though I think they were also serving the seating indoors. You could tell they were hustling to help everyone. We were celebrating our recent wedding and the staff gave us a card - a thoughtful touch. My only suggestion is to see if the restaurant can figure out a way to have some heat under the tent if possible. It was cold toward the back half of our meal. All in all, another fantastic meal at Elements and they made the best of the unusual circumstances!
I’ve really enjoyed Elements over the years, beginning at the opening of the original location. A friend and I wanted to go to provide a bit of support in this difficult time. We had the chef’s tasting menu with a couple of offered upgrades. Started with cocktails and then had a bottle of wine. Three dishes arrived at once. Hardly Michelin-style service. They were fine, maybe a little better than fine, but the simultaneous delivery meant we consumed them much differently than chef had intended. Then nothing. For 40 minutes. We were enjoying a decent $160 bottle of wine suggested by one of our servers. Our meal came to a close after 3 hours and 30 minutes. It was a long meal and not in a great way. The check was $700 - a real eye opener for sure. We added the tip and then realized 20% was already included. Hadn’t noticed since the usual detailed sheet wasn’t provided. Thankfully I questioned the total with my dining partner and we found it. Honestly, even with patience and understanding from covid, I don’t think I’ll be back. Lots of places in Princeton where a great meal with cocktail and wine is $125 per person. Elements just isn’t worth that big gap.
Elements is excellent. The food, the chef service all very good.
