SO AMAZING. My friends Patty & Justin recommended and we decided to do our Off Valentine's day celebration. We started with a nice bottle of Cava with a grilled bread appetizer, caesar salads, then lasagna and tagliatelli. We were so hoping to have room for dessert but couldn't do it. Next trip. The flavors were popping on all items and very fresh. Grateful to know that you are there and looking forward to our next visit.
Ellie's is one of those great neighborhood finds that produces great food, professional staff and is always busy. Veteran move- take a rideshare ride to the restaurant as parking is in a residential neighborhood and nonexistant. Arancini is to die for BTW. I have never been disappointed.
Great local spot. Service is slow as slow can get, be prepared to wait 15-20 mins just for water. Food is always excellent, highly recommend steak and eggs.
Outstanding innovative but accessible Italian..cant wait to go back.
Amazing food, amazing staff. Thank you!
Ellies has fantastic, innovative food. The service is top par.
The noise level inside is so loud that you are not able to have a conversation
The food was amazing and the service was very personable. Everyone seemed to be very knowledgeable about everything. All of my questions were answered and I left beyond satisfied.
Dined here several times. Food is usually amazing. Very creative menu.
The food blew us away. We heard it was good, but damn!! Loud, but not excessively so. Overall, great time at Ellie's.
Must try the Aranccinos! Their brunch and dinner menus are completely different so must go for both meals :) For brunch they had unlimited mimosas for $15. Food is just excellent!
We went for Valentine’s Day. Great as always.
Food was fantastic. Couple of dish execution issues, but great, overall.
We had our Valentine’s dinner everything was delish except the dessert 🙃 but the ñoquis oh my.... amazing!!!
We've been going here since the first week Ellie's opened, and it was a perfect way to spend our Valentine's day. I've never been disappointed here.
Food excellent and our reservation was at 7:30. You were already out of chicken which I would have chosen. Waiter and staff amazing!
Great option for the Winspear. Food was wonderful but the service was disorganized and slow. Maybe we caught them short staffed.
The food was absolutely delicious! The bruschetta was unlike any I've had before and so tasty. The farfalle was excellent. I highly recommend the cauliflower appetizer too. SOOO good. Best Italian that I've had in Long Beach ever.
A little tightly packed and tough parking.
Otherwise - amazing.
Food was excellent. Service is welcoming and not overly attentive. Only thing lacking is the experience- Dining area is a bit cramped, seems as if the table heights in comparison to seating were overlooked. Avoid sitting by the bathroom at all costs!
Food was great - as always.
Great food! Go for a table outside, inside is very loud.
This is one of our go to spots in Long Beach. A little out of the way and parking is terrible, but it's worth it. We always Uber it there because of the parking. The food is wonderful, the staff and chef attentive. When it's nice outside, you can sit on the patio.
This place will continue to be one of my favorite restaurants.
Delicious food with a nice wine list.
Always an amazing experience. The menu is delicious, creative and comforting all at once. Eat here!
The pomodoro pasta was perfection, pasta cooked al dente. Will definitely go back!
Food was good but the servers were much more interested in catching up with each other than in providing service to the guests. They need to step up their service and decor, especially for a place that charges so much. Plates were left on the table, even with multiple deliveries and walk bys from the staff, and it took approx 10 mins to get each glass of wine, even though we were only one of three tables at the time. The chef gives an interesting take on food and homemade pasta but everything seemed very citrusy. Overall was super disappointed and do not plan to go back.
food was good and the service was very good. It used to be the At Last Cafe so on the corner, parking was no problem. Very nice place
Amazing food!. Between the four of us we tried four different pastas and they were all exceptional. Give this place a try!!!
Awesome food and staff. Simple decor in a nice neighborhood. Parking is tough so get there early or take an Uber.
Server did not review specials with us. Orchiette pasta was a quarter inch thick and really gummy.
My 2 foodie friends and I tried Ellie's for the first time at lunch mid-week. The food was good though a tad pricey. I had a lovely pasta dish and my friends both chose one of the fancy salads. We were all pleased with our selections. The server was outstanding. The venue reminded me of shabby chic. It was cute, clean with just enough funkiness to make it interesting. My only complaints are: It was a cold day and the doors were open making it cold inside. When I asked if we could close the door, my request was declined. Also, we sat in the room closest to the kitchen and it was super noisy and distracting. I think they were furiously prepping for dinner, as we had a late lunch and were late leaving. But overall, it was a good experience.
Delicious food and great ambiance. Loved the service as well!
While the food and service were excellent, the noise level was not acceptable. Could hardly have a conversation. Also parking is a problem.
Excellent service and delicious, fresh, inventive dishes. We ate here on New Years Eve with their prix fixe menu and wine pairing. Wonderful meal.
Ate the pre-fixe dinner on NYE. Delicious but pricey. Typically more moderately priced but just as well crafted and flavorful.
Five star dining with a neighborhood feel. Beautifully plated food that also tastes as good as it look. Ingenious flavor profiles leaving you wanting to come back to try everything on the menu! Long Beach's best kept secret.
Food is very good, service can be better, noise level is high. Weather permitting dining outside is so much better than inside. Good wine selection. Did not have room to try the desserts, our pasta dishes were fabulous and filling.
Planned a nice meal to celebrate end the year. Exceeded my expectations!
Pleasant, really good food, a little loud
