First time here and def won’t be the last. Food was delish, and staff were all lovely!
I’ve been going to Emporium for several years and have never been disappointed. The best “feijoada” in town. The “picanha” is a must try. The “pastel de carne and queijo” is to die for. Desserts are delicious. You must try the flan and the brigadeiro. Besides, service is impeccable!
Amazing and delicious food! Incredible service! The waiter was one of the sweetest people, I’ve ever met! Loved this place! Will definitely be going back soon!
Great place for fabulous food.
Very pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended.
The waiter was very attentive and gave us great advice on what to order. The food and drinks were delicious. We ordered the empanadas sampler, branzino, steak, and cachaka.
Great food, Great service. The portions were fitting. You must try the desserts....
It was amazing and the food was great.
Went on a Thursday night. Pretty quite. Food was excellent, drinks were excellent, and the service was outstanding. Will return when I come back to the city.
Drinks were amazing! Appetizers were ok. Calamari seemed as though it was heated up out of the freezer. Shrimp was good. My steak was nothing special. The food wasnt hot, just luke warm. Not sure if it was because we had the last reservation for night and the chef wanted to go home? I would definitely go back for drinks, not so sure about the food. Service was good too.
The place has great ambience with very good food
From the food and atmosphere to the staff, everything is EXCELLENT!
This is a quaint restaurant with authentic Brazilian cuisine. My favorite is the Foijada. Highly recommend it.
We had a beautiful pre-theater dinner here, drinks first at the bar with the personable Rio bartender. The menu and presentation was unusual and fun. An easy walk to east-of-Times Square theaters.
Food is always excellent and service is always spectacular!
The staff was very accommodating. They addressed us by name and treated us with great respect. We enjoyed the food options and loved what we ate. I would go back again and would recommend to anyone going to midtown for dinner.
You made getting the table easy and the place outdid itself! The staff made the experience wonderful! They were attentive from the start to finish! The food was excellent.... the taste, the presentation and the serving were all great. Would recommend it to others and did this morning. Great time and wonderful food. The dessert was probably a best highlight!
It was a last minute pleasurable surprise - Great food!
We had an early reservation on Valentine’s Day for dinner before a show. Dinner was about two hours, so 5:30PM was perfect to make the 8PM show. We had really great drinks first - I recommend the Manhattan. For dinner we weren’t too adventurous, but everything was to perfection. Highly recommend the salmon and the beef stroganoff. The stroganoff has a Brazilian twist for sure, and it was with rice (not noodles). We just wanted a nice, relaxing place to chat for a couple hours, and this was perfect. The service was excellent - made recommendations when we asked, totally didn’t hurry us, very friendly. It was someone else’s birthday, and they even sang!
Our server Roger was excellent in seeing that we got the most out of our dining experience. From friendly timely service, recommendations and pairing our selections. We have a new favorite place in the city, the food was so flavorful.
Extremely nice waiter! Great round table. Very good food.
It was very good!! The food was amazing
All the staff is very cute, polite and simpatic. Congratulations
As brasilian who not only knows what really good authentic brasilian food tastes like but also, but over the years also had a really good share of "just ok" food, we were extremely disappointed with Emporium Brasil.
For a restaurant who claims the "Picanha" is their specialty what we had was a piece of grilled meat that was far from what Picanha supposed to be. Don't take my word, Google picanha photo and compare to their menu.
Know that Picanha is the smaller thick fat captop layer of muscle over the rump area closest to the skin, because it’s not a muscle that gets much use during the cow’s life, so it remains very tender and covered with a thick layer of fat.
Know to many as Queen of beef cuts, real Picanha gets all the flavor from being grilled with the fat cap, (this cap should never be trimmed away) and of course the rock salt that gives some of the rich flavor.
None of these are present on Emporium Brasil plate. Sides server with it (well a little to none) I managed to get a desert spoon of black beans out of the small bowl, everything else was beans water. Rice was cold and had no flavor.
Menu says it is served with "vinaigrette sauce, toasted yucca flour and fries" never got either one.
Baked Codfish also left a lot to be desired, unflavored, unseasoned and no salt, served with an olive sized potato.
Their burger was so hard and dry was not edible to the point 80% of it was left in the plate.
With 4 people in our party, 3 asked for Diet Coke which arrived completely flat, when we asked for regular coke we were told regular coke was the same way but they could serve us a natural juice????
No for the positive. we had 3 different deserts all of them were very good.
Amazing , I can’t wait to come back !
The restaurant is good but is very cold inside the restaurant
Arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before my party and immediately felt welcome. Was greeted and took a seat at the bar after informing the host the others in my party would arrive soon. Food and Sangria were amazing, as well as their side dishes and desserts. Had a really great waiter who accommodated everyone's needs. Can't wait to eat here again.
This is the second time we've dined at Emporium but not the last. Service is excellent as is the food. We have a problem deciding on ordering a new dish or what we had the last time. We're planning on returning in a couple of weeks after a matinee.
My wife had the steak which she said was tough. My brother had the Moqneco de Camarao which he enjoyed, but said was not a very large portion. I had the Coxinha de Frango Catupiry which was perfect , as well as the Pastel de Carne. However, the Frango de Passarinho was dry and I could not taste any garlic flavor. The waiter was very attentive.
This is my favorite restaurant in the city! Great spot to bring family or business clients! Food is excellent and the service is top notch!
Party of 9. Arrived early. Very accommodating. Gracious about separate checks.
Excellent food and service! Really enjoyed it!
The food and service were excellent. Prices were very reasonable, especially for New York City. Highly recommend. Enjoy!
Emporium Brazil is my favorite restaurant ever. Every time we visit NYC, I insist we go there. The atmosphere is elegant but comfortable. You are made to feel at home and relax. The waitstaff takes care of you. The food is outstanding. I always get the chicken in palm sauce because it is so good. The empanada pastry is rich and flaky. The drinks are generous. The homemade Sangria is very nice. I'm happy that they offer several vegetarian dishes, unusual for a Brazilian restaurant. Now the entire family can go !
Our first time at a Brazilian restaurant and we loved it.
Great food, I would go back to this restaurant the next time I am in NYC.
Solid restaurant for whole family
We went to this restaurant for my daughter's 25th birthday. Everyone was very welcoming. We had drinks at the bar. Bartender gave us ideas of different specialty drinks. Then at the table , the waitor was lovely and attentive. Food was special and delicious. My daughter was brought a special dessert with a candle, as a surprise. As we left, happy birthday was voiced by all staff. Wonderful experience.
Emporium Brasil is a perfect place for all types of dinner engagements. It is a small nice looking restaurant with good food and excellent service. I go there frequently after work with many friends and have a really good meal with varied menu in a pleasant environment. I find it hard to find a reasonable priced pleasant place to meet friends midtown after work. This does it for me. I am a repeat customer
What a find! Our reservation was for seven guests at 5:30 on a Saturday night. They were just medium busy at that time, but were pretty full by the time we left. Everything about our dinner and service was great! Warm and cozy atmosphere. And, good food value $$ (for NYC)! Try the fried yucca. Don't tell too many people, though -- we want to keep this to ourselves!
The beef stroganoff was an excellent choice and the service for my wife's birthday was first class
