I found Fairchild’s Punlic House on Open Table. I would have never known it was there in the Hyatt Centric, so close to other stores and restaurants that I frequent. I was pleasantly surprised to find a diverse menu with so many enticing options, along with a full bar, and very friendly and attentive staff! I ordered a classic Old Fashioned cocktail, the baby romaine, kale and roasted butternut squash salad and the cioppino and everything was delicious! I will definitely go back!

First, give diners a hand trying to find you: list the fact that you are NOT on San Antonio, but inside the Hyatt which is set back a block, inside a business park. Then consider signage in the vicinity of eye level. All of us walked around about 10-15 minutes. GPS told us all we were there, but “there was no there there.” Nice ambience until other people arrived, at which point it became an echo chamber. We asked for outdoor seating but were glad to be indoors due to wind. However, you need some acoustic treatment to fix the back room. Good drinks, good caprese, nice salmon entree, but overdone calamari, and a waiter far too anxious to take our order. When it is a large group especially, let us enjoy our drinks and appetizers. We came to eat and visit. Then, remember wine with the meal should come WITH the meal; a serving to be split requires two plates when food is delivered, not 5 minutes later; all food should come at once; coffee with dessert should come WITH dessert, not when finished; when an error happens on the bill, don’t make us wait over ten minutes to re-run our cards…and then credit the wrong people. Other reviews looked good, so list our party of seven as disappointed. If this weren’t 25 miles from home, I might give another chance to fix these glitches; the place hasn’t been around long.

Drinks were on point and service was outstanding. We started with the ceviche. The flavors were great, but it would be easier to eat if the fish were cut smaller. My guest loved their burger and truffle fries. I had the sweet corn ravioli. Again, flavors were great, but the pasta itself was a bit tough and the brown butter sauce was just greasy. The bar area was popping so we chose to eat in the dining room for the quiet. The space is comfortable enough, but it has a breakfast-y vibe. If they turned the lights down and dressed up the tables, the room would feel more like an upscale dinner experience.

Took my mom there for Mother’s Day brunch. It was a set menu and great selection. You pick a starter, main dish, dessert and it included a complementary mimosa. Food is tasty, and it was very reasonably priced. The staff was very polite and apologized for keeping us waiting to take our order. The manager even came by twice to make sure we were enjoying our meal which I thought was great because you don’t see that in a lot of restaurants these days.

We dined here for Mother’s Day. The staff was wonderful and we had great service. The team clearly thought about how to create a menu that would appeal to a wide array of tastes, but that could be served easily and promptly. The presentation was fantastic and it was a great experience!

Overall it was a great choice for Mother's Day Brunch. The atmosphere was welcoming, open and airy and quiet. So it was good for conversation, especially with our grandparents who are hard of hearing. The food was presented beautifully, but the chicken and waffles I ordered were not great, just okay. The service was polite and attentive, but the waiter did mix up our plates quite often, so not very efficient. The seating was quite comfortable (couch made up half of the table section) and the stand alone seats were also very comfortable. All aspects of the establishment seemed clean and orderly. I would definitely give it another try, especially with a large party.

I went with 4 friends, we wanted to talk and the place was perfect. The service was friendly and warm. Excellent wine (Pinot Noir), we could taste two of them and pick up the best. The food was really tasty, with excellent quality and presentation. We order pasta and ravioli, beef and fish. All of them were very happy. We ordered two desserts, the creme brulee was good, and the strawberry cheesecake was less than we expected. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant have different spaces around the Lobby, so you can pick your own vibe.

We really liked the Fairchild burger and salmon. Perfectly cooked and very tasty. The starter salad was fresh and flavorful. Service was excellent and very friendly. Will be back soon.

We actually did not eat here. I made reservations for 10:15 for 3 on a Sunday to sit on the patio. When we arrived, they seemed surprised that we were there, the patio was closed and they said they close at 11. So we went somewhere else and had a great breakfast. The one star is not because the food is bad - we didn’t have a chance to try it. Just a bad experience.

Good location for our get together. I missed seeing that it was a restaurant in a hotel when I reserved the table. Servers were great, food was good to okay. Our table was close to the entry, so we got to see people checking in.

We made a reservation for breakfast, but was severely disappointed in both the food and service. There were only three tables seated in the restaurant, but the service from seating to drink order still took almost 20 minutes. We placed our drink and food order together and the food took about a half our to come out. We ordered the chilaquiles with eggs over easy only to be disappointed when it arrived. We received a plate of corn chips with pick on the top, side of avocado and eggs that were cooked so long they were black in the center. We spoke to our waiter and he apologized and said he would bring another side of eggs. After 15 min of waiting and no eggs, we decided this meal was not worth continued pursuit.

Poor management. Host didn’t seat is, but told us to sit anywhere. Bus staff asked us if we wanted water, but didn’t serve it, then wait staff asked again. Food took over 30 minutes to come with an almost empty dining room. Kitchen staff was talking loudly and using profanity. We will not be back.

Reserving through your app is easy, unfortunately the restaurant didn’t follow through, they gave my special request seating to another group because they were a bigger group without letting me know by calling or email me, and didn’t offer to do anything to make up for it. We have a special gathering for 2 friends birthday, if I was notified earlier I could have tried to make other arrangements
