We attended a music venue. Our table was reserved as requested. We had a high-top for 2. The wait service was good. We had chicken tenders which were tasty but a bit dry. The floor is cement. The high-top tables and chairs need to be stabilized as they wobble; some severely. Could be floor related. The room is a nice size so you never feel cramped, but there's no real aviance. There is only one bar in the hall itself so depending on attendance, you may have to wait a bit for a drink.
We had fun, the band, Oracle, was great as always. They are about the only band I would pay $15 a head to see. The actual food/ drink bill was only like $26 so it wasn't that expensive for the evening. We try to limit alcohol to 2 drinks a piece.
Second time there and will return.Hopefully will continue.Nice big dance floor
The food was not great, and three members of our party had stomach issues after eating here. We all agreed that the food was not a good value for the price and wish we had gone somewhere else to celebrate birthdays. We did appreciate the free dessert for my children’s birthdays however. The server was pleasant and attentive as well.
Service was great all evening long. The food was delicious and filling. The band was entertaining. Overall it was a great night out with friends and I would recommend it to everybody.
The food and service was great but the seating was terrible they sat me and my girlfriend in the back by the bathrooms and the door where people went out to smoke very cold gf. could not take her jacket off the singer's music was great but Extremely Loud on the bar side where we were seated I will eat there again but will request not to be seated on the bar side
First time here and not coming back. The service was slow ( took 20 mins to get our drinks). We ordered water and never got that. I ordered mushrooms and onions on my steak but when brought out didn’t have any. Must have fallen off I guess. I’m not a big complainer but I expected better than what we got. We didn’t feel important.
Food and service were great. Think some of the entree prices were little high but not far off the mark. I would go more often if plate prices were better. We were close to the front where the 2 person band played so volume was so loud wife and I couldn’t hear each other trying to talk. Otherwise was a great time.
Fallston Barrel House never disappoints. Whether you there for one of their event nights, hanging out with friends, or having a date night this is a great place to go. Food is great, service is awesome, and atmosphere is perfect.
Was too loud.Band was very good but the singer was being drowned out but will come back.Too many people just standing on the dance floor and no room to dance
I’m not sure if this review speaks for my 3 friends that I dined with as well but I’m not hurrying back to this place anytime soon.
Maybe it was because it was a Saturday night in Bel Air but we were seated promptly at 7:15pm but then things took a snail’s pace. We ordered cocktails and they came along right away. I had an old fashioned and enjoyed it. My friends had a glass of Merlot and the Barrel House punch which they enjoyed.
It must have been 45 minutes before we got our entrees..salads weren’t served until almost right before the meal was served. I had the stuffed shrimp and thought the shrimp (which was mostly imperial crab sauce) the broccoli and mashed potatoes were salty. Two of my friends had filets and the streak was tied up in string which they had trouble removing and wondered if they had eaten? My one friend did enjoy her Barrel house chicken.
Our server Emma was great so that balanced out the short comings. The ambience was non-existent..battery operated plastic candles on the tables. Plain red-orange walls with no artwork or wall hangings. I didn’t expect upscale modern furnishings but it looked like someone’s basement club room from the Eighties. This was a Birthday Dinner for me so next time I’ll know better. I also wondered why the place was still decorated for Christmas? It is February Lol.
Had a great time, sat us right in front of the music (which was perfect) and our server was great. As always, Dennis Shocket was excellent!
Good experience, good food, good people.
Birthday specified on reservation. Never acknowledged. Poor server.
Excellent food and appetizers. The crab cake was outstanding and the brussel sprouts were incredible. DEFINITELY in the rotation...
Very nice first visit. Good value. We will be back.
Really good food, but I thought it was expensive. Service was excellent!
Busy that day but everything was good
Motel California band was terrific
We had dinner with friends who have only been here once for apps. They were very happy with the food and service .Our server was Corrine and she was very attentive and had great timing through the night . Food was great .Our favorite's were the Bacon wrapped jalapeno meatloaf , shrimp and grits and bbq brussel sprouts. Flavors in the dishes make you want more. I think they had around 10 beers on tap and quite a few bottles beers so you should be able to find something to your liking.Corrine was quick with recommendations based on what I liked and offered samples until I decided on a beer.
Great place to enjoy good food and good music and dancing!
Delicious burgers and Reuben!
Food was awesome and service was fantastic.
We had the crab dip which was excellent. We would definately recommend.
My husband and I are 40 and we were the youngest people there. But the food is good and reasonably priced. Try the key lime crush!
Loved the band Blynd Ambition! The only problem with it outside was they were not facing the crowd. Our waitress Carly was awesome!
We’ve eaten here on several occasions and our food has always been great. This was Father’s Day and there was very large party which drove up the noise level a bit. I tried the crab soup this time and it was great. I highly recommend Barrel House.
Another wonderful experience!
We were downstairs for the band Eclipse which is a fantastic Journey tribute band. The waitress was excellent. Very attentive. We never had to go looking for her, she always knew when to check on us and I noticed that she was hustling throughout the night. I ordered a crab cake sandwich and it was very good. I can say that whether you are upstairs in the bar, down stairs in the hall or out on the deck, it is a good time. Thanks for a great evening. I would highly recommend the Barrel House to my friends.
The outside is way too loud next to the main road and is very outdated. The food was just okay, way overpriced for the quality.
Waitress was good. Food was excellent. Kitchen was slow to get food out. The place needs some updating for sure.
The service was excellent and everything tasted great. We will definitely be back!
Bartender didn't know how to make cocktails. Bloody Mary had a sugar rim underneath the Old Bay rim. Reading recipe cards for every drink. Totally overwhelmed on a not busy Mother's Day. Nice place that needs serious help. Our waitress was nice though.
Awesome sandwiches. Soft shell crab sandwich was perfectly done. Fresh cut fries are addictive. Great service and friendly.
Food was good, band was great! I love that you accept reservations when you have bands.
Food was decent, portions were full. I had the ribeye medium, it cooked as ordered. Wife had the fish and chips she said they were good but not great. Service was timely and our server checked back several times to see if we needed anything.
We were looking for a new dining experience for my daughter's 35th birthday and this was her choice. The food was extremely disappointing. I had stuffed shrimp and quite frankly the crabmeat was 90% filler and very tasteless. The shrimp were advertised as Large but were medium at best. One member of our group ordered cream of crab soup but sent it back...it looked like and the consistency was that of seasoned water. Two other entree's came with fries that smelled as if the oil was old, huge turn-off, very unappetizing. The waitress was ok...she have very little personality and seemed in a hurry but there were only 4 other tables occupied, and multiple other servers. The ambiance was noisy and lots of staff congregation in the dining room, very impersonal atmosphere. The bar looked and sounded very happening... a band was getting ready to play but the dining room wasn't inviting for a dining experience and definitely not for the price that we paid for the meal. The best part about our dinner was a drink that I ordered from their drink menu....but, you can never go wrong with Captain Morgan. We have no desire to eat there again and now neither do many of our friends and family - sorry!
This restaurant has good food. I especially recommend the chicken Chesapeake -?you won’t be disappointed. Also they had a band & cover charge was waived since we dined at restaurant. Great local place for a night out.
Food was delicious! Our waiter could not have been more helpful in every way. When I hesitated over my choice of sides, he recommended their "barbequed brussels sprouts," which were so unusual and delicious. We would go again in a minute!
The food was just so so. I had stuffed shrimp that was very salty. Would not order again. The “hall” needs to invest in some better chairs and some decorating. We all felt like our chairs were going to collapse. On the bright side great band and great waitress.
The dining room was very bright and noisy. We will try the bar next time and there will be a next time because the service as well as food was excellant!
Pretty disappointed. I actually made reservations for 8 online for 7:45. Everyone got there on time even a little early. They weren't ready, busy but not ready. Hostess asked nicely if we wanted to be seated downstairs where they had a no cover band. We turned that down, preferring to be seated upstairs. After close to 20 min standing next to Hostess, they asked again and we accepted because we had an 86 yr with us. Carefully descended steps to lower level which looked more like a Bull Roast setup complete with folding chairs (nobody bothered to fill us in on that). Placed our dinner order which was mostly sandwiches, there was an unusually long wait then 5 entrees were delivered with cold fries, and we waited another 10 full minutes for the last two entrees. By then the 1st 5 sandwiches were cold also. Kelly was delightful but cant be held responsible for a slow kitchen. Our 1st trip to Barrel House did not make a good impression.
