   We had a bad experience here a few weeks back and said so. The restaurant reached out and asked us to give them another try. We did so at lunch today and the experience was night and day. We had great service and delicious food. Guess everyone can have a bad day but today’s experience was excellent. Thank you!

   I’ve been here several times and always have enjoyed the experience. Not sure what changed about the service but it was so slow and the server got my order wrong which I regretted sending back as it took ages for them to bring out the correct dish by which time the rest of my tables food was cold. It was terribly difficult trying to flag the server to order more drinks and overall I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful dining experience

   Long wait even though I had a reservation. Took forever to get drinks every time we ordered, and the kicker was our waitress forgot to put our order in . After a 1:15 minutes without food she did tell us that she thought she gave the kitchen our ticket but apparently she didn’t. A real horror show

   Never got to actually eat here. I made a reservation a month in advance for my graduation and when I got there they tried to seat me and my family outside as it was pouring rain. They were very clearly overbooked and did not know what to do. We asked to be inside, and they said it was outside or nowhere, and we chose nowhere. Thank god we did, because a few minutes later the outside area was drenched from rain, tables knocked over from wind, and the tent/awning knocked over as well. Everyone eating outside had to run inside and their meals were ruined. This place is completely disorganized, will not have a table to seat you at because they are overbooked, and will treat you with no respect. Avoid this place at all costs.

   My friend and I went with our families to celebrate our law school graduation, and our dining experience with Farmers Fishers Bakers was disappointing. I will start with the positives: our server tried her best and was kind, and the appetizers that came out at the right time—sushi and artichoke dip tasted very good. However, a number of the entrees were dry, including the fried chicken, salmon, mussels and shrimp. I suppose the restaurant was just overwhelmed as we went on a Sunday evening, however the wait for the entrees and one of the appetizers was extremely long and the quality of the food once we got it was underwhelming. Also, the price for the quality of service and food does not match. My friend and I enjoyed the restaurant three years ago for brunch and thought that it would deliver the same quality. Unfortunately, we were wrong. Sadly, none of us would consider returning to Farmers Fishers Bakers again or recommend that anyone else go there.

   Very disorganized and annoying front desk experience. Having a reservation and the entire party on time did not elicit a smile or politeness. Thankfully after a 20 minute wait, we were shown our table and met our cheerful and efficient server. Huge menu. Our items were ok. Nothing special and not worth enduring the front desk for a repeat visit. The place is crowded so hope they will continue to do well and pay more attention to the customer experience.

   My friends and I had quite a harrowing dinner experience, as a severe thunderstorm struck suddenly while we were sitting outside, waiting for our dinner. Our server (I feel so badly that I can't remember his name) stayed utterly calm and attentive as we moved from table to table outside, and then spent a solid ten minutes checking in on us after we were forced to run inside when the storm got really bad. The manager (also regretting that I don't have her name) also did an outstanding job of staying as calm as possible and troublshooting during the storm to make sure all the guests were taken care of, despite getting soaked herself. I really applaud the server and the manager for staying way more calm and putting the guests consistently first - to be honest I don't think I could ever have managed a situation like that as well as they did. They were professional, calm, and attentive in a very chaotic situation. I do hope they are acknowledged by their superiors in some way.

    I had really high hopes for the weekend brunch at Farmers Fishers Bakers. We were seated right away and I thought all would be good. It took awhile for our waiter to get to our table, but it was busy and I can understand that. Once he did arrive and explain the brunch process, we saw him once more for a water refill and that was it! I HAD TO BUS OUR OWN TABLE to clear it out for new plates. Sushi and Pizza made the rounds to other tables, but not ours. The fried shrimp that was supposed to be on the brunch was nowhere to be seen. For the most part, the food was either lukewarm or cold. The only exceptions were the salmon and egg dishes. The bacon was flavorful and tasty, but the sausage was bland. The desserts were pretty good, but for $29 a head and the reputation of the franchise, I expected better.

    Not as good as the first time we had brunch on a Sunday. The service was particularly slow, and while I understand being busy, it was a buffet and all we needed was drinks. It took 20 minutes to get two iced teas. The food was somewhat lukewarm as well. Good tasting, lots of variety, but not very warm. Not sure it was with almost $30 a person.

    Absolutely amazing! My husband and I visited DC for the weekend and made a breakfast reservation not knowing it was a brunch buffet and were pleasantly surprised! The food was out of this world and the service was great!

    The food was good. Service was very friendly but a bit slow- however, it was very busy. It was extremely hot inside of the restaurant, however, which made the experience quite uncomfortable. I could not feel any air conditioning from where I was seated.

    Took at least 20 minutes to seat our party even though we were on time for our reservation. Drinks alone took nearly 30 minutes to come out. Food was decent but service was awful.

    Making reservations saved us. The food was amazing. They had something for everyone on the buffet. But. If the buffet isn't for you , I'm sure you'll find something on the menu. Their drinks, were just ok. Nothing exciting.

    We made a reservation at Farmers Fishers Bakers for our recent trip to DC. We live out of state and when we visit DC we always go there. This was our first time back since COVID and we had been looking forward to it all day. We arrived and told them we had a reservation. They took us to a table for two in the very back of the restaurant. There were 3 empty tables up front so we were curious why we weren’t seated at one of those. We asked if we could move and we were told those tables were being held for later reservations. Our waitress was very overwhelmed. We never received water even after asking for it —we finally got some by asking another waiter. We waited a long time to order dinner. And when the waitress brought our desserts she also brought the check. We never even asked for the check. After being there for an hour and half there was still no one sitting at 2 of the 3 tables up front. The tables around us weren’t cleaned for a long time. The table next to us was squeezed into a space where the back of another chair was against their table and someone was sitting in it. And the man at the other table next to us waited forever because they gave his dinner to the wrong table. And as far as the bathrooms go the women’s bathroom was dirty and it needs a fresh coat of paint both inside and outside. With so many great restaurants opening in DC you can be sure we will be dining at one of those instead of what used to be our favorite- Farmers Fishers Bakers.

    With reservation waited 15 minutes to be seated. Took 30 minutes to get tea. Asked for sweetener and waited 10 minutes and got myself. Food arrived hour in -cold. Grits inedible. Eggs had extraneous greens in them. Carried check to counter because waiter never returned. Only bad dining experience we have had in DC.

    Had the pepperoni pizza, pressed sushi and tuna poke salad - all great. Neat way to serve/share sushi. Service is great, and outdoor seating on Georgetown waterfront is beautiful. Can't wait to go back!

    Another wonderful meal with friends. The restaurant was slammed. The host was working with a very challenging customer. He remained extremely calm and professional. Our server, Olivia, was delightful. She was almost running from table to table while maintaining a cheerful attitude and nice smile. Our meals were excellent in quality, taste and portion. We will return when back in the city!

    It was particularly loud and crowded night. (Glad to see the restaurant so busy, but not so ideal for us patrons.). Still, our private booth helped minimize the noise. The food was quite good, and our server, Sammy, was absolutely fabulous! We loved Sammy! Overall, it was. Great dining experience and we will definitely be back soon.
