Fig & Lily Garden
Delicious food, unique desserts and appetizers, and loved the ambiance! Can't wait to come back in the Spring/Summer to enjoy the outdoor garden
Do not order the kale and artichoke salad. Kale should have been shredded or marinated. prickley
Awesome experience with excellent service. Theres not many other places like it in this area of NJ.
Appetizers are always good. Salads were bland and the ratatouille was basically a bowl of carrots and very disappointing.
Really good food. Wish they would have served more than pita with the hummus. Really good hummus though.
As always..... AWESOME!!!!!!
I went to Fig & Lily for Valentine's Day. They had a special menu and a singer, which created a romantic and special atmosphere. I would definitely be coming back!
The wait staff were not super friendly but there were no issues.
Valentine’s Day! They had a wonderful singer which made for a special dinning experience but it was a little too loud to have conversation. The food was wonderful but my lamb chops which I ordered medium rare were a little fatty and chewy, next time I would order them medium. They had a wonderful special desert for Valentine’s Day which really made the evening! Very good customer service. The servers and management really seem to care about providing a wonderful experience for their customers. I look forward to going back and dinning in their outside igloos.
Food was delicious, service was wonderful and atmosphere was lovely! We will definitely be going back.
Food was fantastic, very flavorful and nicely presented. Will definitely go again and try the garden seating. Only drawback is the poor acoustics in the indoor dining room; the noise level is very high and can sometime detract from the experience.
Nice place. Service was good and friendly. I really liked the food options and ideas, but I would have preferred each dish have a bit more taste or spice. Lots of vegie options.
Food and service were excellent
Look forward to going again.
Delicious appetizers to share. The lamb chops are excellent. Great place for groups.
We were in the igloo and while you had to spend $250’that was easy since we were with a group of 6 it was awesome meal and we all enjoyed the food. The igloo was cool and once you were able to figure out the heater you were comfortable. Actually at one point we were all hot, so that’s not a worry. I would def recommend!
Wonderful place. A hidden gem.
Nice place; nice wait staff; nice ambiance. My salmon was a bit over cooked for my taste; serving sizes were moderate. Please note I do not expect a quality restaurant like this to save ridiculously large portions like some greasy spoon diner, but even accounting for that IMO the portion size could be more generous. This is middle eastern style restaurant so lots of eggplant, yogurt based sauces, lamb, grains. That's good and reasonably healthy but from the name Fig Now a days it seems too many restaurants are designed to maximize background noise.
So in summary I'd try it again. Fig & Lilly is worth another try.
The service at Fig & Lily is superb! The waiters and waitresses offer helpful recommendations and go above and beyond to make your dining experience enjoyable. The food is also very fresh, delicious, and nicely presented.
Food was really well prepared, unique and very fresh and delicious . A little expensive but worth it. Have a Turkish coffee, too. It was a lovely experience. We’ll be back.
I have enjoyed this restaurant each time I dine here. Lots of options for my vegan friends! The outdoor courtyard is especially nice. I would suggest that the management play some other music, what is playing is not what I nor my guests enjoy.
We had a wonderful meal with friends. Tucked away on a side street this little gem had great food, a knowledgeable and friendly staff and reasonable prices. Appetizers: The Avocado Ganoush was spectacular, creamy and delicious. The Grape leaves were tender and full of flavor. Main course: The lamb chops were cooked properly and seasoned perfectly served with steamed vegetable. Others had the Pistachio kebab which was a nice portion and well prepared. The organic chicken was delicious and a tiny bit spicy. Dessert: We shared the rice pudding, very different but very delicious, the Fig special which was unique and so delicious especially if you love figs and the Turkish Kunefe was a real favorite. Ask for Kemen, the manager who was so helpful, explained all the dishes perfectly and couldn't have been nicer. All in all, if you enjoy eastern Mediterranean food, this is a place for you.
Overall very good. Food was excellent. Service staff was friendly but slow. Should be noted the restaurant was very busy.
Great food, great service.
Delicious food and great service! Highly recommend and will definitely return.
What a find. We went with another couple. It was all our first times. From apps to dessert it was great. The only negative was that it was hard to talk without yelling almost. It was a Saturday night so I assume that was the problem. Anxious to try again and also for lunch
Waitress was amazing and very attentive. Loved everything we had from appetizers to dessert. Looking forward to our next visit!
We looooove Fig & Lily! Have been there several times, and it just gets better. The food is prepared in a very creative & loving way with an aim to please. The ambiance is romantic & well thought out with beautiful artwork on the walls. During warm months, the patio is quite special - especially since Morristown has few outside restaurants that offer a private setting. The service is exceptional ! Ken, George and staff are always welcoming and make you feel special! Morristown is fortunate to have this wonderful restaurant with parking a "no issue!"
The restaurant is very warm & welcoming. Our food was delicious and beautifully presented. I would have liked bigger portions however. The service was so attentive without hovering. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and the staff made a beautiful Happy Birthday dessert plate.
Will go back
Excellent food, Mediterranean food is different and very good. We enjoyed the chance to experience the melange of flavors. Unfortunately the restaurant is very noisy and the waiters had a hard time using English to describe what was being served.
What a nice restaurant, with GREAT service . They were so attentive and concerned that our meal was good.
They even provided a nice birthday dessert as a surprise.
On weekends they have Igloos set up in the courtyard, can’t wait to try that with friends.
Pretty garden, great food and service! Can’t wait to come back
The restaurant is decent with good food. The service was really good. The portions are on the small side but as I said good. Since there is not many options in Morristown for a Mediterranean restaurant I would this is probably you best choice in town. Is BYOB and parking can be a bit challenging sometimes. But a couple block wall is not too bad. I would go back.
Great food- very flavorful and fresh, nice people- definitely going back, BUT not ordering coffee again at $5!!
Nice addition to the Morristown restaurant scene. The food was good but I feel overpriced for the simple dishes. The appetizer cheese stuffed phyllo sticks were light and tasty with a delicious sauce. The tomato pate appetizer on the house was delicious, as was the warm pita bread. Always nice to have something complimentary. The lamb shish kabob was very tender and delicious, the octopus was not tender and overpriced at 32.00. When I order octopus I want the whole octopus, here they cut it into pieces. Also the mashed potato it comes with should be replaced with the rice, which is very good. The minced pistachio kebab with beef and lamb was interesting and very tasty. Though the waiters were very friendly they need a little bit of polish in service. They did not check in on us and had to be repeatedly called over for things. Will come back to try other dishes.
First, upon closing the door behind me when entering my fingers were smashed in the doorway. The handle is too close to the jamb. Right off the bat, terrible. The decor was awful - plush couches, neon lights, paintings of fruit, spanish floor tile. The appetizers and salads came at the same time, 13 minutes after we sat down. Our entree came out 5 minutes after that, which we sent back, as we weren't even halfway through our salads. We were charged an extra $3 for feta cheese on a GREEK salad, which is absurd. I asked why the Feta cheese is not included on a Greek salad, and the response was "because in
my country salads do not have feta cheese, this is a Mediterranean restaurant not a greek restaurant", to which I replied, "then why are you calling it a Greek salad?" I also ordered 2 bottles of Pellegrino, to find out when I got my bill they are $8 each. The grape leaves appetizers were not edible. Grape leaves should be a white rice with lemon zest and seasonings... these were a purple brown rice with indian spices wrapped in grapes leaves - and were disgusting. The salad, even with the feta cheese, was completely boring, and way over priced.. You'd think at a nice restaurant you would get a slab of feta, but instead, a few crumbles on top from a plastic container. The Osso Bucco was average, better once I added salt. The dessert - the ice cream and pastry, was actually delicious. Our table was near the hallway to the kitchen, so employees would socialize behind us talking to each other, appearing to hovering over us, which was also incredibly strange and inappropriate. For two people, the bill was $143. When I left, I made sure not to smash my fingers in the doorway. Fig and Lilly = Total Fail.
The food was very good but the service was somewhat bumbling. Too many people handling your food, confusion as to which table got what food and our entrees were out before we finished our appetizers. However the servers were very pleasant. We didn't see the entire restaurant to see what was offered in terms of seating. Our table was in the long room with the fireplace and the ambiance/decorating was eclectic. We first tried this restaurant on New Year's Eve and were surprised by entertainment . . . it was a nice addition and rather fun since the people in our room got into his Frank Sinatra/Cole Porter crooning :). We will return for the food and hope the service raises their game.
Lovely food in the igloos outside in the courtyard. Attentive staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Perfect for couples or small groups of 4 or 6. And it was New Years Eve but they were well prepared for the busy evening. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.
This tiny entrance off the main street opposite the Hyatt turned out to be a real treat. The menu was varied on a Middle Eastern/Mediterranean vibe. We shared several small plates and each had a unique and tasty twist on the standard fare. We defnitely will be back to explore more of this wonderfuly menue.
The service itself is worth going. The attention to detail to make sure your time at the restaurant was perfect was crazy. The manager went above and beyond to make sure everything went amazing. The food >>> yes it’s delicious and flavorful.
