First time here, nice outdoor seating, delicious food and drinks great, great service
This is really a very nice restaurant and a great addition to our neighborhood.
Nice spot for a tasty meal, served well. Nice menu choices, specials, wine list all perfect. Staff was spot on and unobtrusive - just how I like it. They were there when we needed them, then disappeared! Definitely will go again.
our favorite local restaurant - love to go there. enjoy the food and the service!
A lovely lunch in a covid safe environment. Thank you.
one of our favorite local restaurants. we never come back into the city without going to Finestra at least once.
Lovely, family-owned restaurant. Fresh delicious food and full bar. Had the branzino special which was excellent. Live acoustic guitar in the background which was beautiful and didn’t interfere with dinner conversation at all. Will return!
Finestra is a good traditional Italian restaurant and for New York is good value. The spaghetti carbonara was delicious, preceded by a well put together anti pasti. The gnocchi was a bit soft but that is just a personal preference remark. The tiramisu was first class.
our local favorite- not a week goes by when we are in town that we do not visit Finestra!
A lovely place.
A neighborhood gem. Really delicious food, salmon and chicken parm were excellent.
This was the worst meal I ever had in New York City.
Ambiance was amazing. Service was perfect. Pasta was over cooked and tasted like Alfredo sauce and wasn’t pleasant. Veal was amazing and the stracciatella was perfect!!
Not sure if it is due to the pandemic but the food is subpar and extremely expensive.
Terrible food and overpriced for a neighborhood place. Won't return
The filet mignon on the menu was not an actual filet mignon (based on my limited knowledge of cuts of meat) but was still very tasty. Service was great, prices fair.
Great food & service. Appreciate the plexiglass between tables.
neighborhood gem, delicious pizza, great outdoor seating arrangements.
We had a very good dinner at Finestra. We were greeted promptly and requested to sit indoor. They accommodated us and we had a nice table. Music while dining is important to me as I don't like loud fast music while dining and carrying on a conversation over drinks and dinner. The music here was a quiet and pleasant background. This is the start of good dining. The food was very very good. I had fettucini with meatballs that was excellent. Good food and good service is a reason to return to this restaurant. My only suggestion would be to get better Italian bread for the table.
Perfect for Valentine's Day. Cozy, private, heated outdoor bubbles, wonderful food, fantastic service. Looking forward to returning.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience
Terrific individual enclosed space outside. Great service, very reasonable and delicious pizza. Neighborhood gem.
Thank you for being our customer. We appreciate your business. See you soon.
Amazing Covid set up!!! Ate in the plastic “igloo” with heater! so warm! the branzino was fabulous and lovely wine and service!
Great outdoor setup. The food was delicious. I love the fish special. Their Tiramisu is amazing. A great experience.
Thank you for being our customer. We appreciate your business. See you soon.
Lovely restaurant. Good food, attentive staff and reasonably priced. A definite neighbor hood gem.
The lunch was delicious. The waitress was very good as she kept ensuring we were fine with our meal. We Will definitely be cming back again for lunch or dinner.
Food was delicious. People lovely and outdoor seating very comfortable
Friendly staff and ample portions. Always try to support local places especially in trying times. Thank you Finestra for serving the upper east side.
Lovely restaurant with nice waiters
Finestra is my new favorite restaurant. I am expecting my nephew and his girl friend for a visit
and I intend to bring them here. Food is great and the ambiance is comfortable and warm.
Service is also great and the waiters are all helpful.
Dinner for three - my wife, her brother, and me.
Finestra is a small, lovely old school Italian restaurant. And there is nothing bad with that, especially considering the chains and other tourist traps one can find in Manhattan.
We started by sharing two orders of the mussels in a spicy red sauce. The portion was small - so two orders were needed for three to share.
My wife and I then shared the chicken parmigiana over spaghetti with marinara sauce. This was excellent - and the chicken was cooked perfectly - moist and tender, while the pasta was a perfect al dente.
My brother-in-law had veal amoroso (a variation on veal scallopine). He said it was delicious and left a clean plate.
We then had dessert. My wife and I shared ricotta italian cheese cake - which was very good - but not the best we have had.
My brother-in-law had the chocolate mousse cake - which was a large portion that said was excellent. He accompanied this with a cappuccino that he said was delicious.
Dress is casual. Service was excellent - with no pressure to turn over the table.
Worth giving Finestra a try if you crave good Italian food.
We really like this place. Food is tasty. Staff is friendly snd the restaurant is quaintly decorated
I love this restaurant. The food was delicious. My salmon was fresh and cooked at perfection. For dessert I had their homemade Tiramisu. Mmm..simply delicious. My husband and I had dinner here a few times we always enjoyed our meals.
Finestra was a very good value. The service and the food was exceptional. They took care of our
coats and explained the specials. The menu was large enough that there was a choice of entrees
and we were served our drinks and bread as soon as our order was taken. We will soon be back.
Food was slow coming out of kitchen but the waitstaff was doing their best to make it fight. Food was very good but not abundant.
Always wonderful. There were no ceiling decorations that night - they are getting ready to hang winter decor.
Staff was excellent and food was delicious
We liked it very much. The decor is colorful and charming. The service was warm and helpful. The chicken Paillard very good as well as the salmon frittata. Have the tiramisu. We will go back!
My eating partner was late for our reservation but the server was very polite and said there was no
problem and she seated me. I really dislike waiting for someone and she made me comfortable
and gave me a menu and I ordered a wine while I waited.
