We loved the overall look and vibe of FDM. Service was attentive and on point. Our appetizers were the best part of the meal. We had the burrata and the beef tartare which was phenomenal. Our pasta dishes were very disappointing. I’m an Italian American from NYC so I take pasta and pizza very seriously. My linguine nerano was NOT a traditional nerano and was too heavy and overwhelming with cheese. It was an unfortunate let down. My wife’s cacio e Pepe was also a lot heavier than normal cacio e Pepe. We couldn’t finish the dishes at all and we came in hungry. The gelato was great though. I had high hopes for FDM as our new local South Beach Italian spot. Just don’t know if we’ll ever try it again.

Food and service was top-not h. Best octopus I’ve ever had. Cacio e Pepe was to die for, and you can’t leave without getting the Pistachio Gelato!!! Wonderful dinner. Will be back again!

Best Italian Food on the Beach. Felt like I was in Tuscany. Staff super friendly and even got a visit from the chef Fabricio. Can’t wait to go back next week!!!!

The food was great. The ambiance was excellent. The only thing is that the wine was not chilled and server did not refill wine glass once. Other than that, great experience all around.

Amazing dining experience worth every penny. We loved the zucchini flowers and the Cacio e Pepe with truffles. Oysters were delicious as well. We finished off with the tiramisu which they make right in front of you. Perfect place for an intimate dinner and wonderful service as well.

Was very excited to try this restaurant for Mother’s Day dinner. The two main dishes I came for was the truffle cacio de pepe and the big gelato. I have no complaints about the food everything was delicious and the service was ok, I was never offered to order another glass of wine and we weren’t offered to order coffee at the end with our dessert, we probably would have ordered more drinks or the coffee/tea with dessert had it been offered. The cacio pepe was the best cacio I have had in a long time. The dessert on the other hand was very dissapointing as the presentation did not meet my expectations. I have seen many photos from my friends and the restaurants Instagram so I was expecting to receive the same as everyone else on the ice cream that I was charged the same amount for as everyone else. I honestly felt like sending it back as it was not worth the $29 to me, I really felt cheated out of the dessert because that was the main reason that I chose this restaurant. I wanted photos with the big Gelato, instead I felt like I received the wish version of the dessert and I was embarrassed when I showed my friends that how I received it, we all had a good laugh. I will attach a photo of how someone received the dessert last night (screenshot from fdm Instagram stories)versus what I got for my dinner tonight. I literally got half the size and it was served on a bowl that resembled the soup bowls I have from CB2. You guys can do better!

Second time at the restaurant and still one of the best places in Miami for lunch or dinner. Food quality is consistently good and the service despite being Mothers Day was very good. Well managed!!

I wouldn’t really recommend this place. I thought the food was overrated and I didn’t appreciate that they never told me I would be charged for water. one of the servers opened a second bottle of water (again never said anything) and topped our glasses while we waited for the check only to see that we got charged for a second bottle!! I thought it was absolutely ridiculous and then the server huffed when I asked, since I was being charged for that second water bottle I wanted it to go

The restaurant was extremely hot.There is a dress code that is selectively followed. There were many empty tables and yet they crowded us with another table, right at a door, that waiters and patrons kept going in and out of. As they did they would hit my chair. When I spoke to the manager he was arrogant and did not care what I had to say. The food was ok, I’ve definitely had better. I would not recommend.

It is always a beautiful experience coming to Forte dei Marmi. The restaurant is an absolute gem- situated in a cute, beautifully decorated home. The food is delicious and tasty, and the service is great! Our favorites dishes were the sea bass tartare, mushroom risotto, and truffle cacio e pepe. The star of the show is the homemade pistachio gelato tower. You MUST order!

We had heard about Forte dei Marmi as a must while in Miami and we visited. The first impression is that decoration is cheap; I asked for a Campari on the rocks and lemon and got one served with orange and soda. Service is good though. Appetizers were the highlight of the day, with an octopus and a branzino tartar that were very good. Main courses were a complete failure, my wife had gnocchi with tuna, the kids pasta bologna and I had the risotto with porcini mushrooms, a special of the day. Really disappointing. Wine list is decent and enough for the place. Expensive, does not worth the price.

This was our third visit to Forte dei Marmi, and it has never disappointed. My foodie son discovered this and our first visit was with most of our children and some spares. The food was unbelievably good, the desserts incredible, the cocktails delightful, the service unobtrusive, the ambience sublime. We came back with just our younger son and had an equally wonderful experience. Just recently some friends from Wisconsin were visiting us - I don't think they've EVER had such a fine dining experience; they raved throughout the meal. The thing I have noticed with every visit is the love and engagement I see at the tables. Everybody has their phone down. Everyone is talking and laughing with their friends/family with whom they are seated. We travel extensively, and have lived around the country. This will continue to be a goto restaurant while I live in South Florida, and a place I would make an effort to revisit anytime I am in Miami!

Unbelievable dinner! Get the Truffle Cacio e Pepe, you don’t be disappointed. Incredible desserts, the tiramisu is made fresh at your table! Gorgeous ambiance and people. Perfect for date night or to bring the whole family. Gracious wait staff. Wonderful experience, we will definitely be back!

We have been faithful neighborhood based customers since they opened and were not disappointed on this recent visit. We love sitting in the outdoor terrace which is well shielded from the foot traffic on Ocean Drive. The service continues to be well-informed and attentive. We shared a starter (zucchini flowers with a small salad) which was plenty for two. We had for mains: the risotto with cuttlefish and the branzino filet. Both were prepared and presently beautifully. We find with the drink pricing, this is a relatively more expensive choice than other quality restaurants in the neighborhood, but worth it in the end.

Believe the reviews when they tell you overpriced. Would have paid for an excellent meal, no problem, but this was one step up from diner food. The service was nice, staff friendly, but that’s where the compliments end. Wines were good however very young and overpriced. The appetizers were thrown together, sloppily, and unoriginal. There was nothing traditional nor creative and new about this meal, either would have been welcomed considering this was fine Italian dining. Won’t go back.
