Considered one of the best sushi places in Tokyo, Fukuzushi in Roppongi is run by Fukuzawa family since 1917..
Fukuzushi has a lounge area and private room which is frequented by celebrities. It is known for its fresh and well-prepared sashi and sushi but is considered more of a value than others in the category. Choose from a standard or premium nigiri selection or a la carte at Fukuzusuhi. There are many types including, tuna, eel, salmon, shrimp, roe and sea urchin. There are also other dinner choices and Japanese desserts.
The most incredible sushi omakase I have ever had! We were seated at the bar and the chef who prepared our meal has been making sushi for 50 years. It was a great experience and while it was not inexpensive, it was a tremendous value.
The food was extraordinary. The quality, variety and presentation of the sushi were superb. Clearly, the best sushi I have ever had. The meal was pricey but equivalent to other fine Japanese dinner places in Tokyo. If you are ready to splurge, you will have a wonderful meal at Fukuzushi

One of the fine sushi dinings I’ve been to. Great value for the price. Nice atmosphere. Professional chefs. Fresh materials!
So delicious we went twice! The sushi is beyond words. And the chefs are very friendly! We will recommend Fukuzushi to all our friends visiting Japan.
Service was excellent. We did the set menu and really enjoyed the chef's choice of sushi and sashimi. Not everything we received was something we would have ordered, but even the one to two things that were less to our taste I could tell were well prepared and high quality.
Staff and ambiance were great. Food was poor and not fresh.
Quite simply one of the best meals of our lives. We were so well-looked after by the chef Toyo, everything was delicious, and the service was exquisite. We speak no Japanese and opted for the chef’s choice menu. Can’t recommend this enough.
Really good service, very fresh food and friendly people! It is nice to sit at the bar they make the sushi fresh in front of you. We ate the japanse way with our head, one bite! Very cool experience.
Unbelievably expensive and overpriced. Not worth the money and the sushi quality was subpar. Would not have gone there if it was half the price either. Better options around town. Save your buck and try something else!
Fro service to food one of the best I’ve ever had! Love!!
Food is amazing, however the place is super over-priced
Very good meal, great meat and very friendly people
Great evening at Fukuzushi, good food, high standard of service.
Absolutely amazing food and the staff was sooo friendly!
Amazing sushi and fantastic staff! The space is small and intimate, but not tiny, like some Tokyo restaurants. We sat at the bar, ordered the chef’s 15-course sushi tasting menu, and were impressed by every bite. This restaurant is listed as one of the top sushi spots in Tokyo, but is far from pretentious. The decor was minimalist, and the tasting menu was a feast for the eyes and palette.
Great experience with great food.
Everything was out of this world. The service was impeccable and the food was phenomenal. The chefs and wait staff all spoke and interacted with everyone in the restaurant in a very friendly and inviting manner. The whole experience was indescribable and this should definitely be a restaurant that needs to go on a list of must do when in Tokyo.
Not expensive nor so casual. Very nice sushi, atmosphere, and hospitality. Near Roppongi crossroad and very nice place to visit to eat sushi.
A little hard to find, but once found you have the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and wonderfully tasty food. The sushi main course was some of the best I've had in Japan with extremely large pieces of fish. The separate room for after meal desert and coffee/tea was a great touch.
Good fun sushi restaurant. Lots of terrific loud sushi chefs, wonderful service from terrific ladies and the sashimi and sushi was wonderful.
Tough to find so make sure u have google maps with u. But worth the visit.
Incredible food; wonderful atmosphere; great service! The fish was unbelievably fresh and delicious!
Always gratifying to be in Fukusushi ... english speaking ... kind service ... delicious & expert guaranteed fresh food ... and the best chawanmushi in Tokyo ... perfect !!!
Great atmosphere and excellent food; the best sashimi we have had at the end of a month in Japan.
An excellent sushi experience. Not cheap, but the 7000 yen dinner was well worth it. Sit at the bar. The sushi master was fun to interact with, even with limited cross-language.
We traveled to Japan for the food and Japan delivered! We loved our sushi dinner here! This is a great value for someone looking for an authentic sushi experience without a huge price tag. It wasn't a cheap dinner, but with plenty of food throughout the courses we left feeling full and delighted that we finally had sushi in Japan! The staff was very friendly and was able to communicate in English.
Good Sushi. Good food overall. Nothing you can't get at other places though. Room was what you expect. Service was excellent.
By far the best sushi I have eaten in my life. The staff in very polite and they talk in a very good english. I will retourn here certainly when I will be back in Tokyo.
The floor lady was very slow to serve, and did not know about foods and drinks. Foods are OK, but the service was too bad for the cost
Nice food and it's very convenient to provide on-line booking system that tourists could ensure that we have reservations for planning. thanks
I love eating sushi in Fukuzushi over 30years. I come with important business guests from all over the world and my guests and I always enjoy ourselves not only the sushi itself but also the atmosphere in the restaurant.
I am not paid by Fukuzushi writing good comments by the way. (someone on this comment list wrote like this) But since I wanted to write how great the sushi in Fukuzushi is as a Japanese, I decided to write my comment in English. Yes, Fukuzushi's sushi is not cheap because the quality is different from casual sushi bar. Hope many people visiting Japan can taste real delicious sushi in Fukuzushi.
Be ready to spend some money!!
However - fresh and delicious sushi- prepared traditionally. Loved the singing waitress! The older waitress wasn't very friendly and seemed a bit "put out" that we didn't know all the proper Japanese etiquette when ordering.
