Built in 1837 as a woolen mill, the historic Glen Rock Mill Inn features dining areas adorned by rough hewn 14″ beams, original stone and brick work, a spring-fed fountain, and a collection of antiques, many from the 19th century and a full bar and lounge area.

We have live 20 minutes away for 16 years and never knew this little gem existed! Celebrated my husband's birthday last night and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of dining establishments. Come for the food, service, and atmosphere, but don't forget to learn the history of the mill while you are there. You won't be disappointed. On our way out the door, we made reservations for our next visit. Bringing the parents!

The server named Jason never introduced himself, discuss the specials, anything. Our first contact was "what would you like to drink". Food was ok. They have nothing special if you are looking for something new.

Overall delicious food. Would recommend the coca cola braised short rib cooked to perfection But I would not give it a 5 star because they would not substitute their potato for a salad or even a different kind of potato they had on the menu.Also the calamari was chewy and the seabass overcooked.

This was my husband and my first time eating here. It was a special trip for my birthday sans kiddos, and it was amazing! From the live piano player to the spring flowing in the background and the romantic feel of the evening, it was 100% terrific! The food was delicious and did not disappoint… especially the desserts! We will be back for sure!

It was Mother’s Day and they had a preset menu. This was fine with us. We had plenty to eat and even brought leftovers home. Love the rustic feel of this very old establishment!

Prefix menu was a bit pricey and the service started out slow however everything was delicious and ended on a high note. We'll be back. Love the uniqueness and intimate quiet feel of the wine cellar.

We went for Mother's day. You might expect overbooked and chaotic. It was very pleasant with nice music playing. The server Sue was very attentive. The food was outstanding! We both had the cream of crab soup and the beef short ribs on mashed potatoes with crispy shredded brussel sprouts entree and lemon parfait for dessert. Now, keep in mind that we don't go out to eat much, because I am personally a very good cook. My meals are typically better than we can get at a restaurant. This meal was truly delicious and a delightful experience! Highly recommend a visit!

Leland is an elegant wait staffer-pleasant, good-humored, knowledgeable, considerate. The rack of lamb and Chilean sea bass entrees were beautifully presented, and tasted wonderful. Matt Monticchio is an artistic, creative jazz pianist, who bore our interruption after dinner with pleasant grace and a smile. The building is beautiful. We'll definitely return!

Glen Rock Mill Inn is a beautiful place to spend the evening. We sat next to the spring in the fountain room and enjoyed the live piano entertainment while we sipped on our delicious cocktails and tasty charcuterie board. The amuse-bouche was outstanding. Our entrees were among some of the best we’ve ever had. …duck, short ribs, and lamb. The ambiance is nothing we expected in a small town. We will definitely be returning frequently.

Glen Rock Mill Inn is the best secret in York County. The ambience is beyond description here but the olde historical charm is heart warming. Casual elegance. My only disappointment from the enrire full dinner evening, was the creme puffs. Tough, flat and too little filling. Creme puffs shoukd be as big AND high as an tennis ball. Filled to the brim with creme Recommend everything else as exceptional!!

I had the double cheeseburger and freys. It was very good but I feel that a double should not be served in that setting. Too much meat to eat and made the roll soggy. I felt like a pig and I am a big man who loves to eat. I would rethink that on you menu. I feel a single patty would be best.

Excellent service, excellent chef, but if you want good seating, you need either to call for reservations or go thru Open Table and write in exactly where you want to sit. Our first 3 or so visits we got primo seating (we called to reserve). Last 2 times (thru Open Table) we ended up in the wine cellar and in the bar, respectively. You need to use the comment section of Open Table to specifically select seating. All in all, the food and service here have been consistently excellent. Careful with the seating, tho.

What an enjoyable evening! The food was outstanding, we really enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller. The special that evening was Chilean Seabass, it was unbelievable. To top it off our server Sue was amazing. She made our night.

My wife & I and another couple wanted a nice place to meet. Having been to the GRMI before, we decided to return. What a breath of fresh air. Quiet enough to talk, real music in the background, food & service beyond compare. Simply our favorite restaurant. I really cannot think of any restaurant ever that I have enjoyed as much.
