WE has a delicious meal. If you like ribs then this is the restaurant to get them. They're the best ever. We had a combination of meat, chicken, and vegetables, and everything we ordered was excellent. The service was good and the place was clean and attractive. We had reservations and our table was ready for us when we arrived. All together it was a wonderful experience.

When we reached for our 915pm reservation, there was no one at the hostess desk. I went around to talk to someone at the takeout area to see what was going on, they told me to wait someone would come out. We waited a good 4,5 minutes for the host to finally come. He didn't apologize for us having to wait or anything. Just seated us. The waiter didn't say hello or introduce himself. Just was ready to take our order right away. The food was ok, nothing special. Overall it was just ok. The customer service was lacking. And again, the food wasn't special. I would not go back. Too many other good restaurants around with good service and food to deal with this. Its too bad, I was really looking forward to eating here.

Our first time attending Chinese New Year and it won't be my last. The Golden Temple does it right! The food, waitstaff, were amazing. Food came quickly, as well as the drinks. Seeing the Dragon ceremony outside, made my night.

Friendly staff and great food. The menu has a lot of options and whenever I try something new I find another thing to love at Golden Temple. Great for a party of two at the bar or a big family event. Whenever in the area Golden Temple is my go-to Chinese restaurant.

Golden Temple is THE BEST Chinese food restaurant in the world! If you haven't been there, you are missing out! They have the most delicious food! And the bar is great! May, Tom, Andy and Bee are fabulous bartenders who know their customers and make sure we always have a great time when we are at GT! We are glad Evelyn is back too!

Great food as always. We were a party of 9 seated in the ballroom area. Empty when we arrived. We would have preferred the main dining room. Service was good although some of the entrees came out staggered instead of all together. Overall good experience.

Excellent as always. 8:30 reservations on NYE. They were very behind on seating reservations, we were told when we arrived. We were sat by 9. Service was slower than usual. Neither of these things were surprising to us - it was New Year's Eve, one of the busiest nights of the year for dine in and takeout at one of the busiest restaurants in the city on New Year's. We noticed other patrons leaving or getting frustrated at staff over the wait (again, it's packed, what did you expect?) The staff was gracious and the food was still delicious. We left full and happy.

The only complaint is that we had to wait 50 minutes past our reservation time. Apparently they overbooked as we were one of many individuals that had to wait an unreasonable amount of time past the reservation time. The host just kept telling us that it was not his fault and offered no resolve to the situation.

Sadly, Golden Temple has been around for years! We haven’t had dinner there in awhile and with our daughter, we really looked forward to it. The manager or whoever the lovely woman was, was very sweet. The waitress, young and not great. The food was tasteless! I don’t want to say that but it was literally every dish we had! It wasn’t too busy and I’m hoping there is a good excuse! I’m not a foodie, and surprised that we felt that way and others don't! I’m really disappointed and hope that it’s just us!

We love coming here for the food, but the service was absolutely atrocious on Christmas day. We sat for over 15 minutes before anybody even approached the table. After that, we were lucky to see the waiter once or twice. We ended up having to switch waiters and get management involved. It wasn’t even that busy. Such a shame…

Made reservations for 8:30pm, which the restaurant confirmed the day before, so we expected no problems, but there were. We showed up early at 8pm and was told by the host that tables our size were seating earlier, so we should expect to be seated early. A little after 8:30pm, I checked in with the host again. This time, I was then told that they needed to slow down service because they were backed up and we “might” now by seated by 9pm or 9:15pm. I tried to explain that someone in my party has a medical condition that requires she eat sooner, but was rejected by the host. Finally, we had to beg to be seated because of the medical condition and got a table by 8:50. The food was great, but the experience and accommodations were not.

Whenever I am in Boston this is my “go to” restaurant. The BEST Chinese food I have ever eaten. No other restaurant has ever come close. The Golden Temple Spare Ribs are always excellent. Love the egg rolls, calamari for appetizers. Followed by fried rice, Kung pao chicken. Food and service were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a nice evening at the Golden Temple. There were 6 of us, and we got cocktails and appetizers to start, and then ordered our dinner. The staff is very professional and efficient, and the ambiance is nice. Some of the chairs and all our menus looked like they had seen better days..... replacing the worn out chairs and falling apart menus would make a nicer presentation of the restaurant. Otherwise we enjoyed all our food and drinks, and will come back again soon I hope.

Hot and sour soup was weird! Not very hot and not very sour and not a typical consistency. The lobster sauce was not tasty and very poor consistency. White rice was hard, friend shrimp were just ok! Service was slow and inattentive! The only item worth eating was the spare ribs on the bone and the spicy string beans.

The food was good. When it arrived. But the service was among the worst I’ve ever seen. One waiter managing (or failing to manage) a dozen tables. He took 45 minutes to take our order. Never came by again after giving us the food. Never brought out any of our drinks. Was just annoyed to have to deal with any of his tables.

And it was a birthday celebration! Amazing service and even more amazing food! It was my first time based on our friend’s recommendation. My first visit to Golden Temple was a mixed bag. I had heard the ribs were "out of this world." So, I ordered those, a seafood appetizer platter, and beef lo mein. The ribs, to me, were much like any other Chinese ribs. In fact, they were mostly fat, so I was not impressed. I wonder if others ordered something that I missed? I had the boneless rib appetizer. There are on the bone ribs and a large Golden Temple special rib order. Are one of those better than my boneless ribs? Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Also, I would order just the crab rangoon vs. the seafood combination appetizer next time. the two scallops and the two shrimp were buried in batter. The lo mein was really good. Nothing over the top, just really fresh ingredients. The beef in that was, at times, a bit more gristle than I would like too, but it was good. I will go again and order some of the more exquisite specialty menu items. The basics were good, but not "out of this world." Good service once they got around to taking my order. In other words, they were pleasant but I was pretty sure they forgot about me twice.

It's really hard to say whether I recommend this place to a friend. The couple across from us said that they sat for 30 minutes and no one checked on them, the food was good though. We sat for 20 minutes without anyone ever coming to take our order let alone bring us water. I got up and spoke to the person I believe was the owner. Within 1 minute, someone came to take our order. We put in for appetizers and our meal at the same time to be on the safe side. Our appetizers came out 4 minutes later, water appeared 2 minutes later. Our entrees came out 5 and a half minutes after that. I know this because I started my stopwatch. My sesame chicken and brown rice while delicious were cold in a lot of places. After 22 minutes we asked for the check because we finally saw our waiter. Our water was never refilled. Like my neighbor said before leaving, the food was good. The service just wasn't.

Apart from the food which was solid, the experience was terrible due to very poor service and a less than appealing ambiance. The lighting was so dim you could hardly read the menu and the service was so slow that we had to get up three separate times to get the server’s attention. Not sure why GT gets so many stars because we definitely didn’t have a 4.5 rating experience tonight. Think twice before choosing Golden Temple.

This is the worst meal we have ever had here - or anywhere in a long time. The scallion pancakes were dried out and tasteless. The lo mein seemed to be nothing more than spaghetti tossed with a few scallions and bean sprouts. The The chow fun was drowning with dark molasses (in Chinese food)? the Chicken with cashew nuts was all celery - you could count the chicken bits and I do mena bits) with one hand - same for the cashews. I could go on and on - suffice it to say we will not go back ever - it seems like the owner does not care - after all he - he collects $13.95 for a whiskey and cola, or a mai tai - why should he be concerned with the quality of his dishes? it doesn't matter to him - he's doing a bang up bar biz.

Golden Temple still has the best appetizers around (especially the Golden Temple ribs)! My only warning is we like to sit at the bar. We were very happy on open table that you could reserve at the bar, but when we got to the restaurant they told us the bar was first come first served!

Have been going to Golden Temple for years and have always enjoyed it. This experience was just mediocre. We were a large party, dining room was mostly empty, and it took quite a while to get us seated. Then we asked to have one empty table as opposed to another and they said no, even though it wouldn't be used while we were there. Service was slow, one couple asked to pay for their meals with cash separately and were told no, and the entire restaurant sounded like a nightclub because of how noisy and packed the bar was (830 Saturday night). Will continue to go, but not with a large group, and don't feel as confident about their ability as I did.

Celebrating my mother’s 93rd and Golden Temple was most accommodating with the number of guests attending. All staff had a “ no problem” attitude with any requests or last minute changes. We enjoyed the chilly chicken, the bass and the spicey string beans. We also appreciated that most dishes could be ordered in smaller portions thus we were able to taste a variety of dishes. Our waiter was great as was the valet service for parking😍👍🏾🦍
