   The ambiance was fun and lively but not noisy! The waiter was really attentive, helpful and polite but not intrusive. The food was good and the service was efficient. A very fun lunch.

   Visited Goodalls for breakfast for my daughters birthday. Party of 3 at 10am. The place was empty. I had been looking forward to visiting Hotel Ella and this charming little restaurant but was so disappointed. The service was unbelievably slow even though we were the only table. The coffee was cold, bacon was over cooked to the point where it crumbled like powder, and we had to ask for every individual thing like salt and pepper, more water, a place setting for my daughter, etc. the manager had setup his laptop work station in the middle of the restaurant and checked his email throughout our meal. It wasn't offensive, but just odd to see a staff member working next to us like we were eating in his office. I wont be going back.

   Pasta overcooked, sauce at best lukewarm. Order for appetizers with our drinks we were almost finished with our drinks when they brought them and only because I complained. The restaurant was empty only another table of 4 and they say it was because their order came in. ….. Poor service, overall food was not good and we felt uncomfortable to have invited our guest to this place

   Such a cute hotel! The service was very slow. Parked my own car, restaurant service was extremely slow and the food was not good. I had the tartine. I would not recommend.

    Goodall’s is an amazing brunch spot! Pick a Saturday or Sunday & go there with friends! You’ll be glad you did! The Benedict was delicious! We also really enjoyed the chicken bratwurst.

    Lovely hotel and restaurant in a historical landmark building. Food was great, atmosphere divine sitting in the wraparound patio with the breeze, and service was attentive if slow.

    We have dined at Goodall's several times, a great experience each time. But this last time was a huge disappointment. Gone is the classy menu of scallops, etc. In it's place are burgers and tacos. I had the deconstructed tacos. It came with three tortillas with filling for only two. No rice or beans. I could have easily gotten better tacos at any of the hundreds of taco joints around Austin. I am not sure what has happened to Goodalls, but the menu and the quality of food have sharply declined. On a positive note, our server was kind and wonderful. The problem is in the kitchen.

    The staff never acknowledged our reservation. It was like they could care less. They were fairly busy. The breakfast was good, the burger was good, and the avocado toast was adequate. The avocado was very cold which made the egg cold. The toast, also cold, was as hard as a rock and difficult to eat. The overall experience was adequate.

    We went for brunch and the menu was super limited. There was nothing sweet on it and all the food just tasted like onion. It was not what we excepted for such a nice place that is attached to a beautiful hotel.

    We started on the veranda but music was too loud and service slow. Moved inside and ambiance was very nice. Service got better but orders took a long time. Probably better to come after 6pm

    We were very disappointed when we arrived and found that the menu was significantly different than what is on the website. The dinner menu seemed more like a lunch menu. We had to struggle to find something we wanted to eat. Choices were very limited. I settled on the filet. I ordered it rare and most of the slices were well done! The presentation was awful - I could not identify what was served with the filet - very unappealing! The texture of the sides was like a wet sponge! When I addressed the server she agreed and brought it to the manager. She was very attentive. It was removed from our bill and they provided dessert free of charge. That was very nice customer service but the food was the worst meal I have had in a very long time - and we eat out alot. Please consider a more normal menu. It is important to have an accurate menu posted to your website - we were both excited about the menu on your website with many excellent choices but the actual menu was a huge disappointment

    Not too large dining room in an old home converted to a boutique hotel. Menu is odd in that it has several items you would expect from a food truck but not fine dining. The filet steak, however, was outstanding. They do not provide bread even when you ask for it.

    We had out of town guests and decided to treat them to brunch at Goodall's Kitchen. We were NOT disappointed. From the moment we pulled up the drive of the stately mansion, we were greeted warmly by every employee - from the valet, to the host, and wait staff. The Ella cocktail was as unique and delicious as it was beautiful in the coupe. Our brunch meals were all tasty and filling, and the biscuits were the best we have had a long time. We highly recommend Goodall's for every type of occasion.

    Ran across this restaurant when searching for a Saturday brunch spot. We were very impressed. We sat out on the veranda of the beautiful historic hotel. There were very few people eating there so it was easy to get reservations. It should not be that easy to get a table because this place is truly an excellent brunch location in Austin! All food selections were fresh and well prepared. Waitress was kind and provided timely service. We highly recommend!

    The service was awful, we waited over 30 min to get our appetizers and when we asked if they were coming she said she forgot to put them in. She puts them in and we waited another 15 min right before our food comes out to get them. When the appetizer did finally come we had no silverware or plates for them and took another couple minutes to even get that, and when the broccoli came out it was cold. She never comped the appetizer. Had to ask multiple times for drink refills as well. Overall would not come back for the terrible service and mediocre food.

    Menu online did not match what was actually being served at the restaurant that day. very limited brunch menu was available. I Generally always look at what’s available on the lunch menu or dinner menu depending on what meal it is to determine whether I choose that location. Food was underwhelming as the steak hash was very tough and the bison burgers were very normal
