Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant - McLean (Tysons Corner)
Lunch & Dinner: Monday - Thursday: 11:00am - 11:00pm, Friday & Saturday: 11:00am - 12:00am, Sunday: 11:00am - 10:00pm
Our dinner was delicious! Even down to the dessert we were pleased. The waiter was friendly and prompt, beer was good and the atmosphere was nice. We were seated quickly and food came quickly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Going away lunch on a workday. It took about 30 minutes to get the checks settled. That's a long time on a workday. The food was good, as usual.
Waitress was great ! After dinner she assisted with our Black Friday growler fills for the weekend.
The smaller glass size allowed for enjoying different beers which were all excellent.
Waiter was perfect. He was laid back and attentive, but not intrusive.
Appetizers were slick with oils and burger came out very rare (not ordered that way).
Definitely not a $ restaurant if you order anything other than an entree.
The food was good. Our waiter didn't seem to know what was on the menu, or what specific beers were at that location. And we waited a while for the beers, although not an unreasonable amount of time for the food. Menu is extensive. As it is a convenient meeting place for people gathering from various locations around the region, I'd go there again. Plenty of free parking in the adjacent garage and they had no difficulty space wise accommodating a large group.
Good food and beer. Will be going back soon
Fantastic overall experience. Manager of this Gordon Biersch is first rate. This is one of our go to spots; beer is great and food is consistently good.
Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the server was excellent. She answered questions and made us feel valued, even though she was busy with other tables.
Sadly the beer that was exclusively made for this location was not tapped yet. However the food and service was top notch!
Service was kind of lacking. Waitress charged more and messed up the whole receipt. Food was still very good.
The hostess was great about the reservation process to seating our party. We enjoyed sitting on the faux patio. The service was good. It took a while for the waiter to take our order. Food was okay. Beverages were good.
Good overall. The fish and chips were really good and Kelsey, our server was great great great
The beer was ok. For a “craft” beer I expected more. But ok.
I especially like the cocktails and of course the beer. They offer specials if you sign up for their mailing list. It was worth the 30-minute drive. My 87-year-old mother & 6-year-old grandson both enjoyed it.
The atmosphere is average. The waiter was slightly above average. The kitchen does not pay attention to detail. The food was ok.
I made reservations on open table for 10:30pm; got to the restaurant and was told their kitchen was closing!
Why would open table allow a reservation for a time a restaurants kitchen was closed???
Our waitress was amazing. She and the team were very accommodating when we had a few extra show up to our original party of ten. Everyone was polite and appeared to enjoy working there.
Great beer and we had the best server ever today.
Brittany was pleasant efficient server. Meal was good, food could have been a tad warmer. Tasty Maibock.
Service was quick. Food was good as always. We come here very often and are always pleased.
Experience was not up to GB standards. Had a reservation, but forced to sit at open seating bar area for reasons I don’t understand—was told there were no dining tables (then how did I have a reservation??). Burger and fries were not warm or well prepared. Saving grace was the server. I did not complain about my experience because she was working hard to cover an area that seemed to large and she did so with a smile to all customers.
Something is amiss in the Tysons Gordon Biersch kitchen. Their food was SO SALTY on our recent visit, we couldn't eat it. When we mentioned it to the manager, he said that is how Corporate wants them to salt/season food. We'll be dining elsewhere in the future.
birthday and couldnt find server bc we were placed outside in patio area and took forever to get drinks and definitely never got refills
I made a reservation for 10:15, but they stop serving dinner at 10:00, so we could only get the very limited bar menu. Other than that, the service and food were great.
Good food and good service, would definitely eat there again. The beer was great!
Easter dinner with a small child in a high chair. Perfect for us - we didn't have to be concerned if the child fussed - it would not have bothered anyone. Our server was great - she brought the child's food out first so as to keep her occupied and happy. Our food was very good, and we shared a nice desert after our main meal. Good spot conveniently located in the Mall at Tysons.
First time visit. We thought it was great! Great beer and drink options and a wide variety of food items to satisfy a diverse group!
Good chicken schnitzel and IPA
My wine glass was dirty. Ordered the salmon salad and the piece of salmon was tiny. Service was great.
Food was great as was atmosphere. Service could have been a little quicker but I’d absolutely return! Great prices as well!
Took like 20 min before a waiter came to take drink orders...he was good once we got drinks, but it took forever and we had a reservation. That’s just bad management. This happens nearly every time I go there too. There were cleared empty tables and there seemed to be a lot of people waiting to get in. It was ridiculous.
Great food. Had a wonderful time
The restaurant/chain needs a lot of work, from the host/greeting, to the inattentive server, to the lackluster food options.
Sausages are the best!
Our server was friendly and funny. We had a great lunch!
I don’t know where to begin... Our steaks were basically burnt and dry, empty glasses weren’t being removed or refilled, I reserved the table and mentioned it was a birthday and then even told the waiter who’s the birthday person but nothing was done for her. The 2 tables next to us had their desserts brought out with candles and happy birthday sang to them (felt bad for our birthday guest) and we even order each dessert on the menu, a waiter was nowhere to be found to order more.
I’m afraid this is a one-shot deal. Food quality is not so good. Chicken wings are tiny. The bratwurst is not as good as supermarket brands. Even the stout is subpar, too thin for a good stout. It is cheaper than its neighboring restaurants though, but I’d rather go next door, in any direction.
It was a birthday celebration for our daughter.
Overall it was good. Mussels were over cooked though.
Everything is great Great place to eat and hang out!
Good German food and very good German style beer. This place can tends to fill up on weekend nights with Tysons mall shoppers so make a reservation through OpenTable. Weeknights tend to be far less crowded.
