Absolutely fabulous. Spot on. We sat in front of the kitchen and watching the chefs doing their magic was phenomenal. Later, tasting the food was heavenly. Every component of the dish was a masterpiece. The staff were friendly, double check our order to make sure the meal we order were halal and even took the extra mile to entertain my children. We had an incredible afternoon at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Mayfair.
Hello, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us your review. Some positive comments, which will be passed on to the team. So happy that you found our staff friendly and entertaining. We look forward to taking care of you again in the future. Many thanks Denva
The quality of food was subpar given the Gordon Ramsay name and the cost of the food. The steak we ordered was full of tendons making it difficult to chew. Service was also poor. The floor staff seemed to be understaffed and overwhelmed. The kitchen kept on calling out our food for pick up but no one was coming by to pick it up. It was almost comical sitting btwn the kitchen and watching the floor staff on the other end not responding. Overall not a great experience and given we were visiting London and thought to give a restaurant a try, definitely wished we had opted for another restaurant. Overall not worth the cost associated.
My wife and I wanted to spend our last evening in London with a special dining experience so we chose a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. The website does not disclose that the restaurant is inside a Marriott hotel therefore our Uber driver had extended difficulty finding it. I want to preface my comments by saying that the staff was exceptional! We sat down and ordered drinks. As we sat there my wife was looking a pile of child seats and a poorly laid out restaurant. Noisy with no ambiance. The menu extends from hotdogs to steaks for two, priced from 110 British pounds. I paid for our drinks and left. I don’t mind paying 200 pounds but not for chuckle cheese environment. Between Uber and Gordon Ramsey 70 pounds wasted...
Great atmosphere and service. Pappardelle and steak+fries were both great, the side of Mac and cheese could have used more seasoning as it was a bit bland. Overall a good experience and we will be back!
Both service and food were splendid! I had the 3-course meal and the dessert really topped my dinner off.
Hm, wasn’t exciting in any way. I didn’t like they giving me only usual menu when I’ve mentioned in my order I’m interested in Sunday roast and then I had to ask the waiter for that special menu. They also didn’t congratulate me, though I mentioned it was my birthday. Cured salmon was very salty. Overall was good, but nothing special.
Good location, very average food... I ordered the Filet and it could easily be eaten in 4 bites. No seasoning or flavor. Service was okay but slow at times. Would not recommend here.
Great food but the Toma hok rib eye that we came for was out of stock so we had to settle for a less interesting dish
Why do restaurants like this feel it necessary to charge £70 for a £15 bottle of wine. Especially when it’s served warm and the sommelier asks if you’d like your bottle of red wine put on ice 😂
I’ve only been to this restaurant once and I won’t be returning but I’m guessing that’s once more than Gordon has been there
The server didnt seem to be very experienced and unfortunately has the red wine spilling over and damaged my friend's jacket. The food is alright but I would expect a little more from Gordan Ramsey.
Better than we thought it would be.
Truly wonderful brunch.
The food was excellent.
The staff were attentive, friendly, chatty and all round amazing.
Thank you all for making it a great occasion.
The food was good. It was a very good hotel restaurant. It was not special.
We had the bottomless brunch package as part of a Valentine’s Day out. The pancakes were lovely! Our Prosecco was regularly topped up by our lovely waiter. Great value for money.
Hello KayE, So happy to see that you enjoyed the bottomless brunch package as part of your Valentines day out, See you very soon Many thanks Bar & Grill Mayfair Team
Cote de Bouef was fantastic! Professional staff, although sommelier spilt a little of the wine on the table.
Veel te lawaaierig!
Het eten was wel goed. Niet heel bijzonder maar ook niet verkeerd.
It was very kind :)
The restaurant itself has a nice ambience. We arrived at the beginning of Sunday Lunch at noon and were one of only a couple of tables. It was actually quite nice, quite calm. There are tv screens showing Sky News, which wasn't what I was expecting and distracted the children a bit, but it was nice. I'd asked for a booth and we were seated in one (they are sort of half booths).
The service was generally attentive, but sometimes rather absent, and often not very proficient. For example, the food took a while to arrive. We went with the roast (sirloin of beef and pork belly), and when it arrived the waiter asked if we wanted anything else. We asked for some Dijon mustard. It took about 15 minutes to identify they didn't have any, and another 5 minutes at least to bring us something similar from the other restaurant. At any point after we ordered the waiter could have asked us if we wanted any sauces, which would have avoided some of the party sitting waiting. The food was nice. Meat was good quality. Yorkshires very nice. Portion was modest. Puddings were fine - tasted like good packet ones rather than home made. Also, I asked for the bill and was given a bill with a Gift Voucher taken off. I finally managed to get the waiter back and noted the error. The bill then disappeared for AGES. It finally came back corrected, which saved the staff a lot of embarrassment, this was hardly acknowledged.
For 4 of us, having roast, a pudding, and one drink each, the bill was around £180. We were celebrating a birthday and were adequately looked after. It's nice but quite pricey for the level of service provided.
Birthday brunching with my bestie!
Food was very bland, looked lovely but no taste. Was very disappointing for a Gordon Ramsay branded restaurant
great service, drinks & food
enjoyed my meal & would return again

The chicken wing starter is excellent, cocktails also very good!
Hello TaniaZ, We are happy to read that you enjoyed the chicken wings, and felt cocktails were very good. See you very soon Many thanks Bar & Grill Mayfair Team
Not very impressed. I expected a better service as it’s a bit pricey. The waiter wasn’t very friendly. Two of the waitresses were nice enough though except for the one who served us. I politely asked for a larger table but apparently they have people coming for those space. We left 2 hours later and it wasn’t filled. Not a big deal but would have been nice. Overall food was alright
Food was good but I expected more from a celebrity chef restaurant
Nice food, fantastic service but I didn’t like the tv screens inside the restaurant.
Had a lovely meal....and enjoyed it very much....however I don't know if it was down to food and something didn't agree with me but within an hour had a tummy upset...and had to visit the facilities.
Nice and friendly place. The food is very good
I was really disappointed with a lot of things in this restaurant.
When we came in restaurant was absolutely empty with only two tables occupied. The waiter led us to the table and sat us shoulder to shoulder to the couple who was enjoying their romantic dinner together. So let me ask you, why would you do that if there is 90% of the tables available? I think the couple looked as shocked as we did.
I did ask the waiter to move us, so she did. But surely it didn’t make any sense on the first place?!
Next thing was choosing the wine. After we asked the waiter to bring us the bottle of the wine we selected, she tried to sell us something which was more than the double price. I believe we repeated at leat 3 times , saying no we want the other one. But she was kept saying that the one she recommends will go better with our meal?
Guys I understand it’s January and the place isn’t busy, but come on, no need for pressure !
When it came down to ordering food, my friend wanted an octopus, which wasn’t available, so he had to go for salmon. Again got told in to ordering side, which he didn’t even want. And I have gone for the steak. I asked for it to be modicum well.
When my steak arrived I cut through the middle and it was cocked medium , with some blood still there.
I asked the waiter to cook it a bit more, so he has gone to the kitchen and returned within a minute , saying I was wrong and there is nothing wrong with the steak, it’s just a juice??? And if they cook it more it will be burned and tuff!
I never had such an experience when the restaurant refuses to fix the mistake in such a rude manner. What would happen if I would ask for the well done on the first place? Would I get a plate with inedible piece of meat?
So I had to get on with it and just left the part which wasn’t cooked the most on the side!
I will definitely not gonna be returning to this place again, there is so many lovely Gordon Ramsay restaurants you can visit. And this one just a failure.
Our pm reservation was pushed to almost 10, which was fine, we sat next door and enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails. I made reservations because of the Love January special. As we were visiting London, I thought eating at the restaurant would be a treat and at a great price , two courses for two people for 30 pounds. Our server never offered this special. She was great at trying to up charge us and made me feel like cheap for not selecting more items. I worked in F&B for 20 years, I know the techniques. Great food, but not somewhere I'll go again. Too many other steakhouses in London.
soup advertised not available
service to order was a longer wait then i would anticipate
booked a course for 2 promotion and was offered nothing in this respect
Loved the restaurant. Loved the food. Service superb. Great atmosphere. Sadly the big let down was one of integrity. I made the reservation on a January deal with lunch for £30. This was not recognised, mentioned or offered at any point. Not wanting to make a fuss, and being able to afford the actual cost (almost £300) we just got on with it. Overall, would definitely recommend and would return, just a shame that it felt a little like a con to be hooked in on the promo.
Not only was the experience very disappointing, being kept waiting for over half an hour for our table, but when I left a bad review on Tripadvisor, a sarcastic “sorry you had to wait an extra 15 minutes for your table” response was left. It was at least half an hour and their lack of willingness to at least acknowledge their shortcomings demonstrates a complacency I won’t be funding again.
we loved everything!! the food was fantastic!
Great food with attention to detail in food prep and overall dining experience
Hello Mayzie, Thank you very much for the kind words. We are happy to read that you enjoyed your overall dining experience. See you very soon Many thanks Bar & Grill Mayfair Team
Very nice setting for a date. Food quick and delicious. Would recommend.
Hello SamuelH, Thank you very mush the sweet words. Your comments will give the team an amazing boost. Thank you for recommending and see you soon. Many thanks Bar & Grill Mayfair Team
Book there for my birthday, a bit slow, been to to some ramsey resto before booking we inform is birthday so staff give us compliment but this nothing, mention in the booking but seem just nothing.
Unfortunately despite booking within the allocated brunch slot on open table we were told on arrival it finished at 4 so shouldn’t have been bookable. They honoured the bottomless Prosecco for 1.5hours but the menu was the normal a la carte, not the brunch menu. Food was good though.
Hello Eatinglondon, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us your review. As you are aware all comments are taken seriously. We are so sorry that we were unable to serve brunch items 45 minutes after it was finished. On the other hand, we are very happy that we honoured the bottomless prosecco, and also pleased to read that you thought the food was good. See you again soon Many thanks Bar & Grill Mayfair Team
out of the beef wellington waitress had attitude food wasnt great
A light airy restaurant which was empty when we arrived. The ambience is ruined by a huge tv in the middle of the wall showing sky news.
The staff were friendly but very slow service - despite it being very quiet had to chase our initial drinks order.
I was disappointed that my side order was forgotten and in addition despite saying it was my birthday on the booking and again when I had to reconfirm nothing was mentioned. When we paid my partner mentioned the fact it was my birthday and they rushed off to get a slice of sticky toffee pudding just as we were trying to leave. I politely declined it as we were in a rush to get to the matinee theatre. I was told I should just eat it!
Service is not what I would have expected of a Ramsay restaurant. Not really worth the additional expense.
It appeared that we were bothering the staff, particularly the maitre D. The food was just so-so, the beef was charred and the beet salad was undercooked. Certainly not up to Gordon Ramsay’s standards. The waiter was overly touchy, too.
