From the greeting right as we walked through the front door until we left at the end of the evening, everyone on staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. We showed up early to enjoy a cocktail by the fire pit before dinner. All the food and drinks were excellently prepared and our server was very knowledgeable about the entire menu. Will definitely return.
I try to go to Grace every time I come to visit my daughter at Penn State. Always a treat! I brought her roommates last night and we had a great time. Food was delicious as always.
Excellent food, on the expensive side, but worth it for our special ocassion.
Beautiful setting to celebrate my son’s college graduation. Wonderful service and desserts.
Always an outstanding part of our trip to penn state
The best venue for that special evening. My only complaint was the too small but tasty oysters.
Grace is our favorite restaurant in the area for special occasions. Wonderful setting and decor -- perfect for an intimate evening or celebration. Food is outstanding and well-presented, though certain entrees could be improved (e.g., overcooked halibut). Service is professional, though could use more than one server on a weekday evening.
Always head here for a special meal with my husband when we come to State College to do Penn State activities. Food is exceptional with a variety of high quality selections. Wine list is wonderful. Staff is always exceptional.
My first restaurant meal in a long long time was delightful. The food, ambience, service were all of the highest order.
Excellent food & service as always. Accommodated our special seating needs as there was a service dog in the library & I'm highly allergic to dogs.
Loved the atmosphere. Excellent food.
Wonderful dinner - compliments to the chef - but the decor is unbelievably, almost humorously, awful. I usually could care less about that aspect but what we have here is a style mix of stodgy men's club and funeral home parlor. 🙂
Great table. Delicious food. Excellent service.
Dawn and Toni are very professional and personable.
We were just wanting to have a fine dinning experience. We were not disappointed.
Excellent meal and atmosphere. Loved s'mores out at the fire pit for dessert.
Lovely table set up. Attentive service. Nice menu selection. Pricing is high but you receive high quality for your money.
We were a group of 6 celebrating my husband’s milestone birthday. I had called ahead to see if I could bring a celebratory pie from an outside bakery and have the restaurant cut into six pieces and place on plates with a scoop of the restaurant’s ice cream, acknowledging that I would obviously pay for the accompanying ice cream. I was told it was not a problem at all. When I received the bill at the conclusion of the meal, I saw the restaurant had charged $36 for the service of cutting the pie and then $27 for the 6 small scoops of ice cream. They didn’t even warm the pie but charged me $63 for the service of cutting the pie into 6 slices and adding a single small scoop of ice cream to for a pie that had cost $15. It would have been great if the “no problem” they had responded with in answer to my inquiry 2 weeks before had included a heads-up of the $63 charge so it wouldn’t have been such a surprise, especially given we had just spent $480 on our meal and drinks. The surcharge plus tax and tip brought the total bill to $550 and felt like an odd, uncalled for money grab, putting a sour note on an otherwise fantastic celebration.
Perfect Easter brunch!
Everything was so delicious.
Excellent service and quality food, definitely recommend it.
Needed to get out of the house.
From the time we entered the lobby, entire staff was attentive and helpful. The food and service was what we expected from our previous visits
Wonderful birthday dinner. We really enjoyed a beautiful evening.
Very professional and personable. Perfect for a night out.
People living close to this restaurant are very lucky. Elegant ambiance, superb food beautifully presented by skilled servers. My wife and I are relocating from Florida and we plan to be frequently enjoying this fine restaurant.
Absolutely fabulous experience at GRACE. Stayed at the Inn for a Mother/Daughter spa weekend and the highlight was our dinner! From the outstanding service, wine selection to amazing food from bread to dessert - treat yourself to GRACE!
My daughters 21st
The Carnegie House is always our "go-to" for special occasions. The atmosphere, service and, most importantly, the food is always excellent.
Wife’s birthday w immediate family
Good food amazing service what more can I say just the best overall
Fantastic experience and worth a drive (I live in Pittsbugh). The sea bass was the best I have ever had, the staff was amazing, and the wine list is top notch!
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere, but pricey.
Great place for that special occasion
Great location, tasteful menu and great service
Overall dinner was great!! Grandma loved it!! But the server was just okay..also the glasses are really big so someone with arthritis like my grandmother was having a hard time drinking water.. the winter salad was plain but I overall food was wonderful!!
Very nice restaurant, good distancing, the service needs a little work at answering questions about the menu - we asked
My boyfriend and I went for Valentine’s Day and we had an absolutely perfect time. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff and service was amazing and the food was probably one of the best dinners we’ve had. We are already counting down the days until we can come back!
With the pandemic, the restaurant has re-designed its seating, using the former Library as an area for dining adjacent to the restaurant. Drinks are now served at your table, not in the Library, and are dependent on ordering food. Although our favorite area, the Library, is no longer available for pre-dinner relaxation & drinks.
Food and service were exceptional. We sat outdoors in an “igloo” which was fun and different. Would definitely go there again!
The dining was a nice experience. Waiting staff was nice and respectful. In an intimate environment, especially during COVID I would have appreciated being seated farther away from the next table however.
Best lamb ever. Excellent old fashioned. Reasonably priced wine.
