   Fabulous decor and excellent service The food is as always wonderful with a great choice. Wine list was also very good. Definitely would recommend this restaurant when in the City Hotel Melbourne is also fabulous

   It was good dining experience. We were well looked after by very attentive waitstaff. Unfortunately the table behind us were very loud and obnoxious but overall we had a lovely time.

    This has to be the best Chinese restaurant in Perth. The food is outstanding both in quality, variety and value. Very attentive and professional staff. The décor is beautiful and the seating well appointed. I will certainly be a returning diner.

    We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. The best dish we had were the prawns with truffle. The noodles could have had more flavour, but overall we loved the ambience of the restaurant and the service was impeccable.

    We had been looking forward to eating here for a special occasion however we left feeling rather disappointed. The food came out initially erratically (we ordered from one of the set menus) and sat for quite a while with one dish and no rice on the table (between 6 people). The food itself was nice but the service underwhelming which is a shame.

    Dim sum items limited and lacks finesse. The Peking duck skin and pancake was tasty but the sang chow bao with the duck meat was kind of ducky. Not my fav. The fried squid tentacles and soft shell crab batter was crispy but too thick. Azuki bean pancake was good Ambiance excellent Service excellent Shame about the food cooking standard

    Service was spectacular! Food was incredible. Lamb cutlets were cooked to perfection. Definitely a high class restaurant! Food was flavoursome and service was attentive and prompt. To make this restaurant feel a little better, I would suggest they use table cloths to take it to the next level so that way their decor matches the fine-dining service they give.

    Overall it was a wonderful dining experience.. service, the friendly but attentive staffs and most importantly the food that was tasty and delicious.. It was our first trip to Grand Orient and believe me..it won’t be our last. The only improvement that could take it to whole different level is to improve on the desert menu… the Azuki Bean pancake needs to be more traditional. More thin and crispy pancakes with bit more filling would be my suggestion..

    We had a 7.15 booking was looking forward to Peking duck had it a long time ago but enjoyed the process of making pancakes . We ordered a full duck thinking plate of duck skin wraps hoysin sauce ext and a bowl of sang chow bow . Also order Salt pepper squid. For entree .the duck came out first was wrapped up so fast buy the waitress we didn't see much then the squid arrived was so greasy .then out comes these leaves already filled with mince and then the steamed dumplings came out . We are finishing up and they are clearing plates away was so fast don't understand why it came out the way it did we were home by 8.30 was a strange Anniversary dinner.

    Just Had the Best Meal Since 2019 All dressed up after a Staff Information Meeting in the City so decided an impromptu dinner was called for. Their signature dish is Peking duck and I don’t think I have ever seen such a flurry of beautifully lacquered full and half ducks being ferried to and from tables anywhere outside of Hong Kong. Diners enjoy the full theatre of the duck being carved and the pancake prepared on a trolley adjoining their table. We started with possibly the world’s best spring rolls, followed by duck pancakes, Sang Chow Bau and the prawn and bbq pork fried rice. The service smacks of Mr Wong’s c.2018 - attentive and professional - where do they get these doyens of the wait service industry from? The dearth of qualified hospitality staff has made dining out over the last few years such a lottery. The fitout is just beautiful (inc the toilets) and I cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough - so exciting to actually dine out and want to write about it.

    Sang Choy Bao was blend (almost tasteless), Fish fillets were fishy (either not fresh or ginger not used to remove the fishy taste) Sweet & sour pork was not as good compared to before. The only compliment is the Peking duck is still as good.

    Service was excellent, food was very good, especially the Peking duck and the steamed barramundi. Was a little noisy though due to the acoustics and the large table next to us where the diners were quite loud trying to be heard across the table.
