Always a great time at Gunthers. Food and cocktails are delicious.
Had an excellent experience for Baltimore Restaurant Week
Restaurant week: Sorry I did not take pictures of the fabulous food presentations. Definitely be back soon! Highly recommended and the drinks were perfect. Thank you and Chris the server for a great evening with a close friend!
We were very pleased with the service and the atmosphere. Seated very timely and served very well. Our server was knowledgeable and very helpful.
The meal was good not great-salad was fresh but plain. Scallops were good if not plentiful.
The deserts were excellent! Overall a good experience but pricey.
The food, the service and the location were all excellent. The one thing: it had been a hot day and the metal tables were warm (where we were seated on the patio), and the water - while served chilled - quickly warmed (maybe bring ice?). Also, there were a lot of flies.
Otherwise, the food was fabulous, the service was great and I'll definitely be back!
Just very evident that service industry in Baltimore is severely under staffed. I’ve been previously and had an excellent time. I can’t hold it against them, just generally impacted the experience.
The service here is amazing. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The food and cocktails are also very good. Can’t wait to come back soon!
An all-around good time. We frequent the restaurant often for brunch, lunch or dinner.
We shall return as that’s #HowDaBanksesLive.
Always a treat!
Great food and setting, especially the outdoor seating. Service was excellent, and the prices are good.
We had a wonderful meal
Very good food for restaurant week. Service was great, food was wonderful
The food & service were great! Absolutely loved the menu selections. The variety allowed everyone to enjoy whatever they liked.
The service was amazing- felt right at home and attended to, without feeling hovered over. The staff were also knowledgeable and courteous
The ambiance was peaceful and romantic yet exciting. I sat outside on the patio.
The food and drink were outstanding! It happened to be restaurant week, which I was not even expecting and was a plus. The cocktail was well-balanced. The scallops were the best I have ever had.
Cant wait to go back
The spicy source for the pan roasted oysters killed the oyster taste. The miso glazed cod was nicely cooked, but the noodle was slightly over cooked. The key lime pie was very good. The steak covered by French fries was not nice presentation.
We have been regulars at Gunther & Co for several years, and yesterday was our first time back since the pandemic hit in March 2020. Owner acknowledged us and our likes. The Thai Hot Pot has been missing from my life for the past 16 months! Glad to have it again, and the consistency is uncanny. All four of us were very pleased. Only suggestion is to turn down the music just a tad.
Every dish wad absolutely delicious and unique. All the staff was super friendly. Our waitress rushed us a bit and the reality is that there were plenty of other empty tables and no additional parties coming after that
Our res was at 8:15 for four and we were seated at 8:45 at a six person table by the bathroom
One of my favorite spots in baltimore! The food is always amazing
This is not the first time eating at Gunther. Every time we come here the food is amazing and so is the staff!!
Wonderful as always! The best food, service and people in Baltimore!!
Gunther's is never not terrific
Coolest dining scene in Baltimore
Food was underwhelming for the price. Horrific value. Fried oysters were just eating fried bread crumbs. Chicken was underwhelming. Drinks were great. I’d go back to hang at the bar, but wouldn’t do a formal dinner there again
My only complaint would be that the lighting under the umbrellas out on the patio is dreadful!!! There is beautiful lighting everywhere else except in the center of the space. It’s too dark and those lights give off a grayish blue cast which is the worst possible Lighting for food. Our server/bartender was quite good though as in most restaurants currently she seemed a bit in the weeds because there is not enough staff.
Nancy was so accomodating and could not have been more gracious. The food was amazing!!! The patio was beautiful and our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. Thank you!
I had dinner with my family for the first time at this restaurant. The decor is really nice and they have a beautiful setup for outside dinning. The the service was good. Our waiter had only been there for a week, so he wasn't really informative as it pertains to the menu items. My daughter enjoyed her oysters and her pork belly was tasty. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The fries were cooked really well and were really good; however, my chicken sandwich was average in taste but the portion was great in size. My husband had the chicken entree which he seemed to have enjoyed. The cocktails were good but unfortunately, I didn't get to dessert. All in all it was a solid dinning experience.
The food: burrata, pork, and duck was delicious. My drink (the pink 🦩), while adorable, was just good. The service was fine, but I didn't care for the reminder of only being given an hour and a half to dine. It's somewhat off-putting. For us, the longer we stay, the more we eat and drink. They are kind of shooting themselves in the foot with this limitation.
It was an enjoyable experience, I would definitely come back
Excellent food and service.
It was just ok. They were certainly busy and, like most restaurants, dealing with newer hires, there are going to be hiccups however, I was disappointed with our experience overall. I have eaten here a few times in the past and those dinners were much more enjoyable. The service was scattered and overall slow, our entrees took a long time to come out and our server was inattentive.
The food was good.
Awesome food and service!!
The outdoor seating on the West side was less than desirable.
Fantastic! from the ambiance, the decor, the presentation of the food and drink, and the servers knowledge of the items
As always, the food and service are fabulous. We had two rounds of delish oysters (get the VA ones!) and a flatbread, a shrimp salad sandwich and fried oysters. We split a bottle of rose (a little pricier than the one we thought we ordered, but...). It was a reunion of work friends post-COVID and couldn't have been better!
Good food and quiet date atmosphere
Another amazing dinner at the Chef’s Counter. Service by Kim was extraordinary! We had several of their new items on the menu. Starting with oysters on the half shell, fried green tomatoes, grilled octopus, burrata and a brick oven flatbread. This is one of our favorites!
The venue was beautiful, our waitress was happy & charming and our entrees were delicious. I had the burger and it was hands down the best one I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to return.
The outdoor space was lovely - until the sudden downpour! Staff quickly relocated us to the mezzanine without any gap in service. Food and cocktails were delicious and Rachel our server was excellent. Will come again!
Get the grits
Just a great place for a meal . Very thoughtful and friendly service in a gorgeous space . Food is always delicious- it’s a favorite!
