I like to go during lunch on weekdays. They have affordable lunch options and it’s a lot more quiet during lunch hours. Food is always delicious, our server Maggie was attentive. No complaints from me.

It was an ok experience. Ultimately, the value was way overpriced for the food and service we received. We cooked our own food, but paid the price of a high-end chef. On top of that, the meat cuts weren't all that great or even consistent. The short ribs were too fatty, the beef bacon was either too thin, so it burnt quick or too thick and didn't cook well. The best was the Umakara Yaki Beef, which was FANTASTIC! However, it was basically shredded, so we lost half of it to the grill as it stuck to the grill (even when we got a new plate and oil) and then charred before we could get it all off. They also tell you to put meet on with the tongs and take off with the chopsticks. However, the chopsticks are regular length, so we burnt all the hair off our hands! I would recommend one pair of tongs to put things on and one to take them off. Also, do your own research because even when you tell them that it's your first time, they don't give any direction. And don't forget your own burn cream because they don't have a policy or procedure for dealing with burns. I spilled the hot tea on my wrist when we were there because the cup was thing and got hot too fast, making me drop it. There was little to no reaction. They brought us napkins to clean it up ourselves and a bag of ice to put on my wrist. I had to request a burn cream, which they didn't have. The manager was not alerted to the issue until we were ready to leave. I spoke with him and he said they have no policy or procedure, which is very weird for a restaurant where the customer cooks their food. I work in safety, so it was a bit disconcerting. Overall, we've had our one experience and likely won't be coming back anytime soon.

I took 4 newbies here last night. They all absolutely loved it. It's such a fun place for a small-ish group. It can be loud, so maybe not the best for a party of 12, but for our group of 5 is was perfect. Several have already said they plan to go back.

Food was good but service was terrible. We probably would not go back because of that. It made the whole experience unenjoyable. The server tried to rush us and brought the check half way through the meal without us asking. It was obvious he didn’t want to be there and asked maybe 6 times if we were done yet even though there was jmore than half our food On the table and we had only had our food for 10. Minutes. Our meal came with desert. So when we were done with our main course and he brought desert we asked if someone could give us a clean plate (one that didn’t have meat and sauce on it) and could take away some of the other empty plates. His response was that is the bussers job and and that they were a bit busy. As such no one cleared anything off the table nor brought a fresh plate. It was supposed to be a kids free night out but was not enjoyable.

Great service. Since most of the food is raw, it's delivered quickly. They let us linger and talk as much as we wanted without us feeling we were being pushed to leave. Did leave a larger tip because we stayed longer. Every item was great except the filet. Our pieces had more gristle than I expected. I'll chalk it up to a one time thing. I'll see next time. Wagyu was terrific. Pork Belly was actually our favorite.

Gyu-Kaku is one of our favorites. The Kalbi and the Harami steak are to die for. If I want to get my fiance to go to Kenwood mall with me, all I have to do is promise him Gyu-Kaku afterwards and he's all in 😂

This place is AMAZING! We love it and try to go as often as we can! The food is the absolute best! We do a mix of premium and non premium meats and are never disappointed. Plus the tons of other options on the menu are each delicious! The staff is busy and always on their feet but not to be confused with rude because that is far from the truth. They are helpful and attentive! This restaurant is a little difficult with small children but older children (5or 6) and up would have a great time. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

Not impressed. Some of the staff are quite rude/lacking in customer service skills. After being seated (with reservations), we sat at the table for close to 15 mins before any one came up to take our order. The food was also so good. We got the multiples course for 2 people option, which came with a variety of beef, and a pork and a chicken. One of the beef options was edible. The other three were so fatty that it was impossible to chew them. Not exaggerating that they were essentially tips of fat with no meat. Everything was super salty except the white rice, which literally had no salt or anything on it. Basically, we gave it a try and learned that it’s not worth going back. There are plenty of better Asian steakhouses around.

It was my birthday and it was such a lovely atmosphere and my service made me feel very welcome and she was very on top of everything and always made it pleasurable for us! She was fantastic
