Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar – Newtown
At Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar the use of sustainable, organic and healthy ingredients doesn’t stop with the menu. From the organic cleaning products, to our recycled glass bar tops, and from our recycled paper products to the ink on our menus, we are a truly a green concept.
Seasonal menus with a variety of items. Some favorites remain the same. Great gluten free options.
We had brunch - the omelets are really bad - we had 5 people and no one was happy with their meal.
Always good food and good service. We love it here.
We enjoyed a great late night dinner. Our waitress was very kind to our 2 year old and the restaurant did a nice job accommodating our son’s food allergies. Highly recommend the sangria flight!
So I have mixed feelings about Havest. The inside umbiance is lovely, however we ate outside becasue it was a beautiful evening. The tables overlook the parking lot, which is fine, however there are no flowers or anything to distract you from the parking lot. I did like that fact that the tables are placed far enough apart that you don't feel like you're having dinner with the people seated next to you. I ordered the salmon, and although the presentation was beautiful, there was nothing special about my meal, I can get salmon that tasted like that anywhere. The salmon just tasted like, well...salmon, nothing special. My husband had the Pork Chop and he thought it was delicious. Also, I think there should be salt/pepper shakers on the table. I don't want to have to ask my server for it. Also, I have issue with the restrooms. The stall door's go from ceiling to floor so you don't know if someone is in there, and if you knock, you can't hear because the music is to loud in there. If for some reason you get locked inside without a cell phone, you might be in there a while. Just being honest. I will definitely go back again and order something different. It is a beautiful restaurant.
Food was so incredibly fresh and good! Our waitress Michelle could not do enough for us!! She was amazing!! She made our evening so perfect! Amazing waitress and amazing service from everyone!
The only thing my husband and I did not like was the balsamic dressing for the salad. It had an odd, moldy kind of taste to it. Michelle compensated by switching up the dressing and replacing my husband’s salad since he had already poured on the dressing and she packaged it to go for us. But overall, an amazing experience! Can’t wait to return! You guys really know how to create great food and you definitely nailed it!!
Too big and too noisy. Took 15 minutes after seating to be approached by a server. Took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. Food was prepared well and presented nicely. The overall ambiance was not to our liking. I would not return.
Liked it but the acoustics and noise level are bad
We chose Harvest for dinner so that my husband and my son could order the vegan Impossible Burger (and kebab). Neither was available. My husband was happy with his substitution. My son was not. My vegan bowl was fine. The beverages (sangria) were very good. The service was excellent.
Always delicious! Very noisy the night we were there.
Everyone is so nice there. I knew they were very busy but I didn't want to sit at the table they were giving us so I asked for another. The gentleman was very kind and told the hostess to seat us at another table.
The food was excellent and the service superb!
great Father's Day dinner with the family. Loved the free appetizer avocado toast. Highly recommend the steak.
Ok, is this lengthy enough?
one soup (corn chowder) and menu was lacking very disappointed
always a great dining experience at Harvest. Food is excellent and well prepared; we had a wonderful Father's Day brunch!
The food and drink are pretty pricey but delicious and adventurous.
Outstanding experience, entree's were fresh and delicious, service was excellent. I will continue to be a repeat costumer to this fine establishment.
Service and food was outstanding as usual!!! Please work on the parking situation. we got one of the last spots by pier 1. Ridiculous.
Great happy hour also
Seasonally rotating menu. Moderate prices, good variety, tasty dishes prepared with fresh locally sourced ingredients.
Great always love it here!
Great place to meet friends. Menu is always interesting with something for everyone.
As a frequent diner of Harvest Newtown providing glowing reviews in the past I felt the need to state the negative if the experience fell short. Apparently the restaurant is between spring and summer menu offerings. What this means is that the summer menu is unavailable and entree selections of the normal menu are limited for over a week. No specials and fifty percent of the flatbread appetizer selections are limited which is bizarre. I feel sorry for the waitstaff that needs to explain the various missing menu items. This is purely a management issue that could and should be addressed.
The service and food, as always, was phenomenal. The staff never forget to ask if there is anyone that has allergies. The service and food are high quality. My friends and I met here fairly regularly for lunch. We have a lot to catch up on but never feel rushed. The prices are a little high, but within reason. We actually opted to have dessert this time, and they're perfect portions.
Our dinner was exceptional. Restaurant was very busy and everything is made fresh to order so we were there for a length of time from when we were seated to when we finished dessert and coffee. Our waitress was very attentive but gave us time to enjoy the company we were dining with. Looking forward to the summer menu too.
I have been to Harvest a few times before and I could clearly see that the quality of the food has gown down. I ordered the Teriyaki rice bowl with tofu. The rice was undercooked and soaked in oil, the snap peas were so tough that I had to spit out the fiber everytime I ate it, the tofu was burnt ....it was terrible. I have had the same dish before and it was not like this.
Food portions are small/ Still hungry when left/. Prices are high for what you get. Next to no sides included. We like weekday happy hour better.
Great atmosphere, great food and service. The only issue that I had was that I asked for the house Chardonnay and the server recommended a $10 Chardonnay which I agreed to try. She came back in a few minutes and told me that they were out of the $10 wine and said that I should try the $13 wine. I feel that they should have charged me $10 and not $13 being that I had 2 glasses. That would have been better business.
Too loud!!! Had to scream over the din to have a conversation. The food is wonderful but please have the ceilings insulated. It is always packed so I am sure you can afford this!!!
Andrea was an excellent server
Our server, Iyeah was the best. Very personable and her knowledge of the menu and the food was wonderful.
Our waitress Alicia made the experience even better than normal. Thank you Alicia!
A neighborhood gem
Absolutely amazing! The food was amazing, service was great and ambiance was great. They have a ton of healthy options and some hardier options. All the food is farm to table ingredients which is amazing. Great wine selection as well to pair with the food. We were there for brunch and got to pick from the brunch menu and the regular menu. Definitely recommend to anyone going. I had the fried green tomato sandwich with avocado and it was AMAZING! The charcuterie board was spot on as well!
VERY busy restaurant so I expected the food to be better. My wife's noodle bowl was excellent, very tasty. I had the bone-in pork chop which unfortunately was overcooked and VERY dry. It was tough to get down and I only ate a portion of it. So some good and some bad. Would I try it again? I guess I might but there are other restaurants to try as well.
Our waiter (Devon) was amazing. She was so kind, sweet, and apologetic when we ordered the impossible burger from the menu but it was unavailable. Unfortunately, that was the main reason we went to Harvest. We then ordered the seitan tacos which were definitely lacking to say the least. Overall, the restaurant is beautiful and the bar is great. This was my first poor experience at Harvest.
This is second time we've been here and the first time we took others. Everyone loved their food. We are all picky, veganish, GF, eaters and the selections we're great. We will be back. The service was excellent, with the possible exception of the wait at times, which was never long and was understandable due to the busy, Friday-night crowd. We will come back again.
We came here when first opened and did not like it but decided to try again since it has been a while. We had the same experience as previous. The bartender ignored us for quite some time before even clearing the dirty dishes from the last patrons though not intensely busy, just chatting. The waiter was very attentive and professional- the only positive about the place. The food was mediocre and tiny portioned. More like a tapas servings at entree prices. The kitchen is pretty slow which I wouldn't mind but for the loudness of the place. We won't be trying a third time. It is very disappointing as it is very convenient to my home.
It was a very busy night when we went, there were a lot of servers but service really lacked attention. It was also very very cold in the restaurant. The food was good but not good enough to over look the high prices and
high noise level.
Good food noisy atmosphere
Front area is very cold with air-conditioning and loud back dining room is fine it was too many people get seated in it and the volume really turns out request a table in the bar outside is best
