Very good service, ambience, quality of food and value. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Interesting lunchtime set menu; great flaovours. Well presented food and attentive but not intrusive service with a smile. The house sauvignon blanc was excellent.
Service excellent, food delicious, superb value for money, all adds up to a great restaurant serving great food.
We went for the first time for our wedding anniversary, so pleased we found this little gem. Perfect combo if you like Indian food and want something special. Next time I visit I plan to try out the cocktails!
A great experience
I have been here twice the past 3 months
Food is executed well
We loved the food here. We had the tasting menu which felt like very good value for money
Fantastic food and really great service, with a relaxed feel. We will be back!
Not wow considering the price tag and Michala in stars. Nice food but nothing new or exciting and service was not very attentive. Often sat with no drink even water and had chosen the tasting menu with wine pairing. We even had to get up and ask for the bill with dirty plates still in the table. For £200 for a meal for two this really felt disappointing and my lamb chop was really dry
Staff great , food lovely, prices reasonable, if it was. Close to home I would bea regular customer. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Outstanding food served without too much of a wait. A bottle of zero alcohol beer extortionately expensive but good.
Well done Hawkyns.
Melt in the mouth meats - scrumptious food in a rustic setting, highly recommend.
Simply the best and real Indian flavours accompanied by friendly staff! Our go to place for good night out.
Have been here several times and the service is excellent, and the food superb
Very disappointed with the food. Very poor value for money. Taste was not what was expected. Portion size was despicable.
Went to celebrate but was very disappointed. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone
Expected much more from a michelin star restaurant of Atul Kocher's
Fantastic as always
The third time we have eaten here, lovely food and service, one of our favourite places to eat
Fantastic evening, great service and delicious food. The wine pairing was a highlight.
Beautiful food but generous portions. Attentive service and very mindful of our requests. Would definitely visit again but choose from the a la carte.
Atuls food did not disappoint. So many interesting dishes on the menu it was hard to chose. Will certainly return.
Had the tasting menu. Sauces for some meals the same. Not enough variety for price. Pastry on samosas too thick.
Very noisy table next to us.
Thetford was very good...no complaints there . Will come again and try the normal menu.
Would I recommend you. Debatable. Expected greater variety for the price in tasting menu.
We had tasting menus (meat and veggie) and they were both amazing. Good wine, good service and beautiful building. Unfortunately ambience was ruined by tinny speakers playing cheesy pop.
Lovely food and great service - highly recommended
2nd time we have eaten here & love their food, presentation & staff very friendly.
Fab service, waitress went above and beyond. Food was amazing, loved the surprise amuse bouche fab touch. Can't wait to go again!
Very good food. Good quantity. We celebrated our 10th Anniversary and the staff in fact brought a small plate of Jamoon to celebrate.
Food was excellent as ever, and the ambience was great especially for a Sunday night. I felt the service was excellent but a bit rushed, so dropped a star there, and a pot of fresh mint tea (mint leaves + hot water) at £3.50 did feel excessive given that our total Bill was over £200 so dropped a star for value
Chicken tikka starter served with the stingest amount of green chutney. A mere garnish and was not sufficient resulting in an overall dry and bland starter.
Waiter forgot the raita. 2nd time where a waiter has forgot to bring something out. Last time it was a prawn starter.
I've eaten here 4 times and starting to feel bored the set lunch menu which isn't seasonal and so never changes.
A good deal for the price but not quite the quality that I was expecting from an Atul Kochhar restaurant.
Amazing food, nice atmosphere and impeccable service
Overall disappointment. Food below average abs overpriced. Not what you would expect from a highly acclaimed chef.
Fabulous food and good service. It was a mouthwatering experience and one that will be revisited.
We have been three times to the restaurant and the food is always a very high standard, presented lovely and tastes great. We always feel very comfortable, and the staff are so friendly and helpful.
Grilled prawns in Malvani excellent
Sea Trout was excellent but the sauce was tasteless
Lotus seed and corn was not good the corn was like little bullets
Cardomon tart was excellent I would have preferred vanilla ice cream and not strawberry.
Service was excellent
Having eaten several times at Atul Kochar's restaurant in Marlow the Crown was very disappointing.
There was so much activity in the corridor behind us that it was not a relaxing experience.
Menu NOT the fine dining we expected .
Sadly we will not be returning which is a pity as it is in our local High street.
We will be returning to Marlow.
A wonderful lunchtime experience. Food was really good. Nice selection, and good value too, with a glass of prosecco included.
Lovely meal and experience thoroughly enjoyed our evening
Food was very good. However the service was poor and didn’t really feel as if we were valued customers. Drinks were slow in coming and we would have had more. There was also no real introduction to the menu either.
When we pointed this out at the end it didn’t really seem as if anyone was bothered which was a shame.
Amazing food, would love to see a bit more spice on the railway curry and Atul’s take on an onion bahjee but besides that it was really good
Service was great, however the tasting menu was in terms of flavour, was lacking in variety- the 3 starters all had the same flavour profile(tamarind and mint chutneys and cumin). The lamb main had only 1 small lamb cutlet - 2 would have been nice(but tasted very nice) and the beef could have been smaller and was gristly even for sirloin- a steak knife could have helped- couldn't taste the chocolate in the jus/sauce.
The dessert was run of the mill.
But I repeat the service was nice and perfectly paced.
Lovely lunch with great friend.
Great Food, great service we will definitely be back !!
