   Good is great but service is lacking, multiple times we would go to the bar to order as no one would come to the table for extended periods of time. My friend also asked to bring out a dessert for my birthday which never came.

   Unfortunately Homme was not what we expected and we left quite disappointed. The staff were undergoing training which is understandable and always stressful, so we looked past the subpar service. However the food was simply inedible. The fried chicken was completely over salted (as were the chips) and we couldn’t eat it. The ceviche was cut far too thick for a dish of this kind.

   We dined at Homme on a Thursday and although it was a quiet night we could not fault the service or the food. The kingfish Crudo and Waygu tataki was outstanding as was the Pork belly , Risotto and the other dishes we ate. The wine list is interesting and has a price point for all comers. Service was helpful and informative. Will definitely return as it is a great addition to the Highgate scene. I totally reject Simon Collins review in The West and encourage him to revisit.

   Absolutely LOVED the food we got. The kingfish crudo was the best I have ever had. Grapefruit margarita was also delicious, and the staff were so chill and friendly. Will definitely be coming back and bringing all my friends.

   The restaurant was well decorated, wine was good but I would say that it was overpriced for the quality of the food and the music was very loud. The service was good however we were the only patrons there so it was a bit strange to be in such a large venue alone! If they reduced their prices then I would definitely return.

   I made a laneway reservation however there wasn’t a seat reserved, lucky we did get one. Why? Staff inexperienced & hovering Wine was average expensive and the pour was so minimal it’s a joke Pizza? Ur kidding! Dough with a few and I mean a few slices of pineapple and a few other bits! Lots of dough Ducati at laneway roaring and blinding head lights Mmm not coming bak or recommending Oh! No recycled clothing or bags only new sweats and tops Good luck with this adventure

   When we entered the restaurant there was nobody to greet us. We waited several minutes before somebody appeared. The music was extremely loud for a lunch service. It took some time before we had been served. When the food came out it was very good. There were some items not available though. Then during the service, a Rapper and their gang took over the restaurant and ruined the whole experience. Steff did not step in and ask them to lower their noise as they dropped chairs and run amuck. I would suggest checking to see if they intend on having Rappers etc dropping in before going again.

   We arrived at our booking time and were basically ignored when we wanted to order. After 20 mins of waiting, we had to go to the counter to order. Everything we ordered came out really slowly. We had to ask about our pizza for it to be brought out to us and when it was, the pizza was cold. throughout our whole experience we didn't receive a single apology.

    Very early days so they are still working out a few kinks in terms of service, but this place is already really good with the possibility of it being really great. Fantastically hospitable hosts, a small but very good share plate style menu, and a nice variety of wine styles - again, a little shallow now but I have no doubt it will expand over time as well. Very specific cocktail list, but there’s plenty of other places to get those if that’s your thing. Homme is going to be firmly on our list of go to places for nice wine, good food and a great, relaxed time.

    Really enjoyed my night at Homme. The decor is very nice and different to other places. Beautiful space and really great food. Highlights were the ravioli and prosciutto and burrata pizza.
