The best aspect of Topside is that it has a fabulous view of Baltimore. The service was a bit slow, but I suspect this was because there were not enough servers. The food we had was very tasty, but heavy — we suspect there was generous use of butter. The general vibe was relaxed and casual and it was not excessively noisy.

Food was amazing and the service was even better. We also got great views of the city from all sides of where we were seated.

My family and I went here to celebrate my aunt's birthday, and we had a great time. The food was great, but the ambiance alone is enough to draw you in there. The view is awesome, especially at night. You get to see different parts of the Baltimore skyline depending on where you sit. I understand they change the menu up too and that is enough to keep me curious. I just hope they never remove the kale apple and fennel salad. That was delicious! #HappyDining

Love the vibe and ambiance of this restaurant but the food was not good. A few of our dishes came out cold and overall everything was bland. This is the second time we’ve been and the food was just ok. Love the place so I hope they can fix the food. Some updates to the menu would also be welcome or some weekend specials!

Great for pre or post dinner drinks. View is fantastic! The Brussels sprout appetizer was exceptional however the mussel/clam pot was under cooked and the fish and chips was under seasoned.

Beautiful, beautiful space with amazing views. Food was wonderful and very pretty when dishes arrived at table.

Only bad part was our server, who apparently forgot about us, but managed to have a cup of coffee while chatting with other waitstaff in full view. Hmmm. So coffee wasn't replenished, requested hot sauce was forgotten and when I asked for the dessert menu, was given the cocktail menu instead.

Would try this restaurant again but only if we had a different server.

Food was good but server was inattentive and seemed as if they were making up rules about their brunch deals and offers that contradicted the printed menu. Disappointed and don’t plan to return for brunch service.

This restaurant is perfect for bottomless brunch with a view. The ambiance is very nice and perfect for date night, groups or dinner with girlfriends. Our waitress was not the most attentive, however, and we had to flag down other service staff to get refills of our mimosas.

There was a wedding taking place in the restaurant when we ate at the Topside. No one called to let us know that. It was so loud we had to shout at each other. The French fries were undercooked/raw. We waited 45 min for the valet service bring our car back. The view was gorgeous, but not worth it.

A wedding was going on and it was just a bit chaotic. The top floor view is amazing but it’s a very loud spot. I would say the noise level is the biggest downside. Still worth it but would not recommend as a place to get to know someone or catch up.

Beautiful view of the city with nice ambience. The place was a bit noisy. The service was good and the place was not too crowded. We were a party of 8 and were well accommodated. The mini crab cakes and Brussel sprouts were excellent starters. Short ribs, scallops risotto and duck breast were fantastic. The catfish was ok. The pimlico pie was a bit disappointing. The food was quite good overall and the experience was nice. Will come again for sure.

The place was beautiful but the staff was a bit pushy to get us out when they turned the lights on, even though there at least 30 other people still there enjoying the space and finishing their drinks in peace. It was awkward.

Although the restaurant was still open at lunchtime, didn’t look like they were prepared for guests. No bartender on hand. Manager was kind enough to jump in and help out, but still… Food was just mediocre. Really nice ambience and an amazing view. Guess you have to take the good with the bad.

Went for brunch. I didn’t care for my food (eggs over pork in a spicy red sauce with home made Fritos) It was too much. After a few bites, I was “over it”. Too spicy and too much vinegar. It over powered the dish and the scrambled eggs were one over cooked piece. The drinks were strong and the bright open space is gorgeous. The server just brought us the check instead of asking us if we wanted anything else. I always find that an invitation to leave. All that said, I’d give it another try.

The noise level was beyond energetic for dining. The windows are lovely, and the design is nice as well but sound has no where to go but back and forth around the space. It is an appropriate place for drinks but the chef's delicious meal was lost to the chaos of the space.

I would go back for cocktails but not to dine. All courses did not come out together for out table, and my entree came out out extremely under cooked (practically raw pork) not once but twice. I was not interested in a third attempt nor did I want to hold up my friends any further. I will say the server was friendly and went out of his way to rectify the situation. My issue is SOLELY with the kitchen!

We went to Revival on Thanksgiving when they served a set menu with two choices for appetizer, main, and dessert as well as a choice of 2 side dishes for the table. My traditional roast turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans and stuffing was delicious. In fact, everything from soup to dessert was great and portions were so large we were able to have leftovers the next day. Look forward to trying out their regular menu some day.

Three of us had Sunday brunch. The food we ordered was bacon and eggs for the most part.
Had a side of pepper biscuits that were burnt and lousy. We must have waited 30 minutes for our food and it was NOT busy. And, it took forever to get a refill of coffee.
The view was great!

Brunch was great! Food was loved by all 5 who attended, even the picky eater of the group. Only feedback is hold off a little on the Orange juice in the mimosas, my girlfriend is a notorious light weight and she even said, after 5 mimosas, that she barely felt anything. The ratio was too heavy on the juice.

Overall: If you’ve never been to Topside, you should definitely go. We go to a lot of restaurants but we regularly go to Topside. Because not only is the food delicious but the service is great and my family and I always feel welcome, which is equally if not more important.

Server: our server, Justice, was great. He was very attentive and friendly. He made great recommendations and brought out our food at perfect timing.

Appetizer: I was nervous because my kids really love the duck confit wings and they were replaced with chicken wings (with gochujang honey, cilantro, radish) but they were delicious (large and well cooked). We also got the mussels in beer, chorizo, and roasted garlic broth. We asked for more bread because the broth was just to good to not sop it all up.

Main: my kids always have the Topside Cheese Burger (cooked medium). But they come there for the burgers because they are delicious. The burger have a red dragon cheese, which is a cheddar with mustard seed incorporated (tangy but not overpowering). Also, there is a bacon jam for sweet, and pickled onions.

My husband, mom and I had the Catfish and Chips. It was a really generous portion and well fried and perfectly seasoned catfish served with fries and malt aioli and a corn pudding that was very good.

Dessert: We were going to pass on dessert because we were so stuffed but the seasonal cheesecake sounded so good (raspberry limoncello) and it did not disappoint. So, even if you take a piece home, don’t miss out.

Drinks: my mom and I had the, “How to lose a man in ten days” but we substituted Absolute for Tito’s. It was served in a champagne glass: refreshing and not overly sweet.

The meal started off poorly thanks to the host. Told us she did not have our reservation in a very snitty way. I stepped aside to find the open table reservation. Showed her the email and then saw my name in the reservation sheet in front of her. No apologies given. Friend arrived late and told the host she was meeting two other women. Host asked if they were sitting at a high top???. We all had a negative impression to start. Waiter was great. Omelette was delicious. Tartine with peaches was just plain bad. What restaurant serves sliced peaches in November?. They tasted exactly like you would expect. The accompaniments did not help either. Restaurant has a very loud DJ at brunch so be prepared.

My husband and I were looking for a place to enjoy a meal with our toddler. Online there is a kids menu on Topside, so we assumed it would be relatively child friendly. When we arrived there was a DJ playing very loud music (good music, just way too loud). We asked hostess for table away from music and request was barely acknowledged and came across as inconvenient, while other patrons were lead to open tables farther away. Our son at one point plugged his ears and said "too loud." Over and above this, our waitress was not attentive, our food came late even though we ordered right away for our child. We have tried Topside at night too and it is again, way too loud for conversation (why not just make it a club without meal service?). The food was overall eh and not justified by the price. Overall very disappointing and knocked off our places to enjoy out with our well son.

Topside is a fun place to enter - there is a cool lounge-like vibe with games, and of course the view. And the service was fine, and relatively prompt. But that's pretty much where the appeal ends. The food was a solid B- - nothing memorable and nothing very tasty or creative.
What I can't get over is the fact that I left my credit card there (they did call me as I was driving home to let me know), and I simply COULD NOT seem to get it back. I have called the restaurant FOUR TIMES, each time speaking with a different person on staff, who informed me it was locked away in a security closet and they would get back to me. One even PROMISED me they would call within 15 minutes. I explained that I had been trying and trying and to PLEASE get back to me. I was in the city and really needed to get the card today. Each time I received NO response and ended up having to cancel my card. Why can't they get it together?

Second time around, this time for brunch after having dinner and drinks previously. You cannot beat the view. The hotel and the restaurant are very impressive, with a great modern feel. Made a reservation and was seated promptly. We ordered coffee, and while there were cream and sugar on the table, your utensil set does not come with a spoon. I would suggest adding a spoon to your standard set as I stirred my coffee with my fork and I watched a neighboring diner stir their mimosa with a knife. To echo many other reviewers the service was slow. Our waitress was lovely I don't think it's a reflection of her as I had this same problem at dinner with another server. I feel like they must be understaffed. We really liked the chorizo dish (though it was a bit cold) and the dutch baby. Wonderful breakfast potatoes. Seems they need some more servers/staff running out dishes and filling water glasses. Overall still enjoyed myself. I'll keep coming back and hopefully it will just keep getting better :)
