Amazing Ribs and Louisiana Wings, Great service & Great View
We had an amazing experience with a water View and outstanding service accommodated with beautiful food. Just amazing
It took awhile to get our drinks (even water) and the food came out in odd order. However, the servers were friendly. We were there on a busy night, so I think the wait staff and cooks had a lot going on.
The view was great. Some of the food was pretty tasty. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
The food was amazing and great value. Service was fast and efficient. Great location.
It was terrible experience ever!!!!
when i visited your restrauant front staff said that only cutomer of booking can use the restaurant and entered.
I said that can I wait for opening table? but the staff to refuse my ask. also, she did cut my word every talking. I give up to enter the restaurant and go away. I was little bit curious something and try to check the website. finally I did booking within minutes. as soon as booking I went back to the restaurant met again her. when she look at me she was pretty awful. I told that I did already booking, let you check the website. however, she can't find my name she speaks to herself. while she doing speak to herself, other staff find my name. BUT!!!! she asks how about my spelling. I told exactly to my name. It was so rude!!!
Not finish this story!!!
She told me ; you wait for a while go to side table.
I was very confused so I can't do anything she was too strong to talk me I had no choice.
when I go to side table, I was very surprised that's why there are some peopl who are almost ASIAN!!!
I realize she definetly too rude for ASIAN or not fluent English speaker!!
Also one of waiter was rude too.
I ordered to rib, I needed bowl for born of rib. only my talbe have not born bowl. I request the bowl. the waiter said that just forgot! I said forgot??? he said again yeah just forgot with hands gesture.
I only have a memorise your restaurant. service was awful. food was almost burned.
Please check it your restraunt reviews. at least on google you can read your restaraunt situation.
Has become a major tourist trap for Chinese. Very noisy and crowded. Food was OK but overpriced
We go for the pork ribs. Unfortunately they seem to have changed the recipe as they aren't as tasty as they used to be. Also the chips are normally nice and salty but these were very bland.
Great food, steak perfectly cooked, good service and not expensive.
Overall a good experience but a few things could be improved - the tables are quite close together and not really enough to comfortably go through in between when you're coming and going. I'm not a big person but I had to squeeze through between packed tables which wasn't very nice. The pork ribs didn't have a lot of meat on them and were not as tender as they should be which made it worse. They were a challenge to eat pleasantly. The salad side dish option was below average (it had one piece of capsicum and it was cut like an onion ring rather than in smaller pieces like the rest of the salad (why?), and no dressing?).
The beef ribs and pork knuckle on the other hand were a hit. I'd come back again but I might try a different location to see if there's any difference.
Bad....reserved but very bad seat...
The ribs are very delicious, yet the prawns pot is unexpectedly small, which is relatively expensive than the ribs. Nice and friendly staff and good view.
Not much meat on the Beef Ribs. Found it expensive. Never received our starters as it came during our main course .
I cannot justify paying $18 for 5 pieces of salt and pepper. Even the waitress who I complained about the dish to even looked disappointed about the serving saying “Yes I know... I’m sorry about that.” The steak and chips were mediocre if you were paying $20 for it. Unlucky for me it costed me $49 for the wagyu rosbif. It’s disappointing because I’ve been here before claiming it was one of the best steaks I’ve had in Sydney. I am happy with the customer service. The waitress I think her name was Gabbie (could be completely wrong) was polite and understanding. I couldn’t have been happier with her service.
The food was good, but the service was shocking our waiter did not want to be there at all, we had to wave down other waiters to order drinks and he never cleared our table. It was just alittle upsetting after spending $450 on dinner. I think I'll try a different hurricanes before heading back to darling harbor.
Servers were too busy
The staff got order from me was a bit rude, less explaining, not helpful. disappointing service.
😤 still have food on the plates and waitress keep asking to clear the table. Not to say they are busy and i think it's rude? It's not a free meal, so do they cook, we pay, put them on the table and to be cleared by the waitress? Food for display and not to be eatten. 🤔🤔
i love the feel of this place, had a great scenic view of the water - seated outside towards the end so it was quite quiet and not too much noise which was really nice for a dinner date. Definitely would recommend to family and friends as it was an enjoyable night
Great service, awesome food. Would recommend highly!
Have been here previously a few years back and it was amazing. This time not so much. Dined with a group of people. Food was okay. We found we constantly had to flag down waiters to get things we were missing. I have had better food and service for cheaper else where. I wouldn't go here again as it was a lot of money for just good when you should receive excellant for the price.
It’s good experience for me with my cousin. when I come back to Sydney, I should visit this place again.
It was my first oversea trip to Austrailia, and I have visited here for twice.
I never forgot the wonderful dinner at Hurricane Griils.
The food was awesome that I have never eaten in my country. Especially, lamb rip is so tender and delicious. The ambience is also awesome. With the daily view and night view of the Darling Harbor, me and my friend enjoyed red wine with ribs and that would be one of my best memory of my life ever.
Thank you for give me such a wonderful lunch and dinner!
Really great customer service
Great view , great food
will definitely be back
We were a group of 6 include 1 kid and i proudly took my friend from overseas to have an experience at hurricane but it was full of disaapointment.
When we ordered a kids meal there were no cutlery and cup for kids which they said they don’t have it and i don’t understand why they have no cutlery for kids when they have kids meal. And my wofe ordered half rack of pork rib and it was just smaller and thick version of pork rib. (not a half cut one from full rack. It was just different and was very hard to chew and was not worth the money) also we ordered a jug of drink to share and the waiter didn’t bring cups and we had to call for a service again which was very awkward situation and that happened when we asked for tomato sauce for 5 adults. He or she just brought a single serve for 5 adults and had to ask them again for more. When we visited there fee months ago the service was good and even the quality of food was great too but i’m very disappointed and won’t be going there again. With small things can make customers happier and feel like that we are getting served properly but this was the worst dinner at Hurricane darling harbour. From the view who used to work in hospitality industry for many years, the waitstaff of yours need to have bit more of better service minded with good sense to the customers.
It was a bit disappointing for us this time dining at Hurricanes.
The menu has changed a bit since we last visited but they still had the dishes you come back for i.e the ribs!
After our most recent dining experience we won’t be coming back for the pork ribs, it was dry and hard. Four diners who had the rib platter, had the same issues. But to be fair, the steak was perfectly cooked so it seems like a hit and miss kinda situation.
In addition to some of the food not hitting the spot, the service received on our table was really below average; our waiter forgot a few items that were ordered, mixed up on the sauces and got our sides confused with one another. Ribs with no bibs, waste bowls or wet towelettes to clean hands with. Which is something standard at Hurricanes.
Needless to say we won’t be in a hurry to come back to Hurricanes for awhile...
le menu ribs de porc moitie n'était pas bon très sec
nous avons réservé une table pour 20h30 nous avons du attendre 20min avant d'etre installé
The glaze on the meet kills the flavor. What a pity. Extra sauce is ketchup mixed with chili. Not worth it.
My son who was visiting oz for Christmas lol vescthis restaurant. We have been to the one in the Gold Coast . He loves the steaks and ribs. Plus he plays for a American football team at uni called the Hurricanes back in the uk. Portions are massive. Our waitress was lovely. I can’t remember her name but she was Spanish. Excellent service.
It was lovely food and it came out of the kitchen very quickly. It was hard to wave people down to order more drinks.
When we arrived we were seated outside which was nice. No water was brought to the table and no menus for 25 minutes. When they gave us the menus she didn’t ask if we would like to order any drinks. When we finally ordered we ordered everything was ordered at once. It was not busy when we walked in at 5.30pm when we were leaving it was very busy so there was no excuse for the slow service when we arrived. Ribs were great. The waitress didn’t understand what drinks we were ordering even though they are listed on their menu and then when they came they were wrong and didn’t bother telling them. They should train their staff and the $500 we spent it was not a satisfying experience at all.
The beef ribs we ordered was dry and tough. We asked for another one but still difficult to chew. The other food we ordered was not too bad.
We’ve been to Hurricane’s Grill for about 5 years now. This trip was bad due to the following.
- We were not offered bibs when our mains were full rack of pork ribs.
- Pork ribs were overcooked. It was really dry and tasteless. I was hoping it was inconsistent but both dishes were consistently bad. Pork ribs used to be good - tender and succulent over the years of dining in the restaurant.
- Lack of communication on requests with different staffs. We ordered for a jug of soft drinks, and I think staffs expected to use the same cups for table water and soft drinks.
With the above said, I usually recommend Darling Harbour to be the place to dine in for ribs due to the ambience. Unless the above improves, I will not be returning to this location in the future.
There were many burnt parts at our half rack pork & lamb.. But I guess that's because of the char grilled cooking style. However, we ended up having bitter/burnt aftertaste.. But, the oyster and creme brule were fantastic!
Staff do not speak or understand English and completely mis-interpreted our order including serving meat which was religiously inappropriate after a request was made to remove.
Kids menu not available to clearly special needs person.
Food once recieved was a non- event and over priced. Better off if i ate at the food court downstairs.
One of the worst experiences and will never go back.
This is my favourite restaurant. Yummy steak cooked to perfection. Nice view. Great service.
Ribs and sides were great. Would go back just for those. Service was terrible. Went on a Tuesday night, was full but not so busy that they were running around. Had to ask for cutlery for dessert and glasses for drinks we ordered. I don't understand why they don't just bring these items assuming you'd need them. Main waitress we had was quite rude and didn't seem like she cared very much. Only solace was the manager was very good when she came to the table.
Waffles were terrible. For an establishment like Hurricanes I expect more than cheap chocolate drizzle and grainy waffles. Sticky date pudding was great though.
Always a great rib meal & good location at Darling Harbour watching the world go bye. Probably don’t need every passing waiter and waitress asking me if the meal is ok.
Food was great staff were fantastic. Shame about the weather and having the blinds down.
