   It was our first time there and we probably won't be back. The pasta was good but the appetizers were pretty lackluster despite sounding good in the descriptions. The service was not great and we felt ignored. There are too many better options in Austin.

   We had four of us and ate up at the bar. It wasn’t ideal as it was quite loud. The food however was great. We got the beet salad, gnocchi and cacio pasta and margarita pizza!

   The food is good. We had two appetizers - mussels and prosciutto w/mozzarella - both quite good. Then two pastas - one excellent, the other okay. Still, $30 for a small bowl of pasta (though tasty) and the inability to carry on a conversation because of the noise level, will make us reluctant to return - at least for in-door dining. Also, the menu prices listed on Open Table are not accurate - prices are 30-50% higher than indicated.

   We absolutely loved everything about our dinner at Il Brutto! Restaurant is gorgeous and the view of the patio outside was incredible, they have this huge oak tree surround by a deck with misters, fans and cafe lights - the misters were going and the sunlight was streaming in through the mist and shade of the oak tree. Our food was amazing, we orders the prosciutto de parma, swordfish and lamb and each came out with perfect, IG worthy presentation. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, actually all of the wait staff was very professional, friendly and attentive We can’t wait to come back and I honestly can’t say enough positive things about our experience

    Excellent however an issue with gnats which was annoying and there was a mistake on our check and instead of comping something or rewarding us for pointing it out they just gave us the corrected amount.

    We sat outside on the beautiful patio covered by beautiful oak trees, listening to great musicians who played soft but very pleasing music, and ate an amazing meal. Everything was perfect. My only regret was not bringing my dog with me as it was very cool and pleasant on the patio with their mist machines going and she would’ve been just fine even though it was hot in the rest of Austin.

    Waited 25 minutes after my reservation time for my table. Then was seated outside in the 95 degree heat even though I made a reservation for the indoor table. Flies swarmed our drinks and food the entire time and the server did nothing to try to amend the situation. Food was good but that was the only positive part of the dining experience.

    Amazing service, our waitress was so kind and informative. She told us all about the wines they serve and had great recommendations. (I forget her name, but she was wonderful!) we sat outside and loved the ambience! Food delicious too!

    The service was courteous and quick. Everyone was very attentive and nice and the food came out at a decent time so there were no complaints about that at all. My husband and I both ordered drinks (he got an old fashioned and I had one of the frozen aperol-based drinks) and these were decent. The food was ok. For apps, we had the charred broccolini and burrata crostini with anchovies on top. Both of these were good. I had higher hopes for the pasta dishes. We got the cacio e pepe and lasagna and it wasn't very remarkable. I wanted a bit more black pepper flavor to come through in the cacio e pepe and the overall flavor was one-note and not pronounced enough for me. The lasagna was a bit gummy for my liking.

    I liked the restaurant ambiance a lot, to go out and have a good time. The pasta was ok, cacio e pepe is one of my favorite pasta but they must have gotten overboard with the pepper it was too much and the lamb Ragu tasted more like ropa vieja (Cuban dish) . The mushrooms were Devine, wine was great. Cocktails were too expensive, as if we were in Miami, not sure why, definitely more expensive than any other restaurant we’ve ever been in Austin.

    Monday night outing, party of 3 - ordered: crostini, mushrooms, broccolini, scallop crudo, gnocchi and cachio e pepe. The antipasti choices are underwhelming (scallop crudo excepted) compared to the clear pasta expertise and crisp flavor profiles of the entrees. We did not order the pizza having looked at a couple that came out, which looked overly crusty and no ode to Napoli. Lots of really good pizza in Austin. Here you should really focus on the pasta which they do very well.

    We are new to Austin and decided to come here on a date together. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. We sat outside under the giant tree that is towering above the patio and enjoyed the cool breeze and relaxing ambiance. We both ordered a few cocktails that were incredible and tried the gnocchi and pizza which were absolutely mouth watering. The food left us already planning our visit back to try more of the delicious menu and the service made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant.     We sat outside and the space was great. Most of the patio was fully shaded at the 6 o’clock hour. Service was good, they were accommodating for kids (he was well behaved that day, though!), and the food was good. Loved the citrus notes in the olives (appetizer). Would definitely recommend and return.

    We stopped in on Memorial Day after going to a movie for an early dinner. We sat at the bar and had a olives, a Funghi pizza and the gnocchi and a bottle of Chianti. All of it was fantastic and the service was great.

    Delicious, tasty food- nice service, and easy environment! The ambiance was a bit off- maybe because we were close to the kitchen? Hearing the line cook's off-putting whistle, the blender noise overtaking the music, and not enough sound dampening or music that was loud enough to help offset that-- while the A/C was *barely* working enough to not make me sweat. It was casual and fine- but I wasn't overwhelmed with anything... Nice, good, just fine-- but it wouldn't be my first choice for a return visit.

    I have been to Il Brutto a few times as I take guests whenever they come from out of town and I have noticed your service continues to get worse and worse. When I came on May 23rd it was TERRIBLE. I get our server was new but she knew nothing about the wines, took 25 min to come back after dropping our apps to get our dinner order, our wine didn’t come out until we were halfway through our dinner and then we ordered drinks for dessert and 3 out of the 4 of us got them, while the 4th waited for 15 min after we got ours, for his beer. His beer-not a cocktail-a beer. I get service industry ppl are hard to find these days but we spent over $300 when the only thing enjoyable was the food and the company. I could have done that at home.

    Beautiful outdoor patio, validated parking. The agnolotti was divine though the portion quite small for the price (it was enough to fill me up, no leftovers though). The Buratta pizza was quite good. My husband was surprised the buffalo mozzarella is added in dollops cool and allowed to melt from the heat of the cooked pizza vs added then browned. Over time, it got quite thin which he wasn’t a super fan of. The flavors were delicious though. Lovely date night place though I wouldn’t go often bc the prices are a bit high for my preference.
