Great meal at Innovo as usual! Shared appetizers including pork buns, one of the yummy hot dogs and grilled cheese.
Really enjoyed my veal meatloaf with mashed potatoes and greens. My wife had the Milanese chicken. Started out with martinis which were terrific. This is definitely a go to place.
It was delish. Food is so good. Can’t wait to go back. Love it. Our server was so nice and understand as we took a while to order as we were busy catching up/
Wonderful restaurant! The food is superb as is the ambiance and service. The food is always special and incredibly tasty and innovative. John and Tina are truly amazing and every dining experience is so memorable.
Always great food and dining experience. One of the best restaurants in Albany
My sister's salad came with chicken instead of the salmon she ordered. It took 20 minutes for her salad with salmon to arrive.
Late dinner. Service was amazing, menu was diverse and food was fabulous. Outdoor seating was great
Our food was outstanding. The waitress was great .
The food is always great. The ingredients are fresh and the menu is varied. The owners are on premises most of the time and ensure everything is world class.
The outside seating is comfortable the service is friendly.
Food and drinks were delicious! Portions are very generous, and we were very happy they do have a children's menu. Would recommend and we will visit again in the near future.
Service was poor waitress was unconcerned with out table and poorly trained. Spilled water all over table and said whoops and walked away. She then came back with out drinks and open a can of beer and sprayed it all over my wife. She did not tell us any of the specials, did not give the restaurant's bean dip just a very poorly trained server who did not give a dam how she treated her guests.
So good to go out again and safely! Good outdoor seating, fireplace, heaters ( if needed). No touch menu. Great, thoughtful service!
First meal out in a year
Food wasn’t great. Service was ok. Nice facility and ambiance. Great outdoor seating.
Great selection for Easter Brunch! The Breakfast Burrito was delicious.
We love Innovo!! It’s consistent and delicious whether you eat-in or get take-out!! The staff are always friendly, we cannot recommend them enough!
We were promptly seated at a clean table with our very own hand sanitizer bottle on the table. We were seated across from a giant table filled with cambros and delivery gear. While it seemed like they needed the space to socially distance people and store their unused gear, it was an eyesore and ruined the ambience. We were quickly brought crispy everything seeded bread sticks and a bean dip and ordered our drinks and the kobayashi boa buns. Drinks and appetizer arrived fast and were delicious. They were flavorful and did not skimp on any of the ingredients. For our mains we ordered the I-burger and the veal meatloaf. The meatloaf was tender and had a good flavor profile. The burger was however a bit of a disappointment. It came out with a great presentation, looked very large / filling and was hot to the touch. The french fries were jam packed into their container and perfectly crispy but lacked seasoning. After eating a few fries I went to pick up the burger and the brioche bun completely flattened. All the juices from the burger absorbed into the bun and completely turned it into a soggy mess. As I bit into the burger the bun became almost non-existent. This was disappointing because a good burger needs a well supportive bun. The burger also had an overly powerful sweet flavoring from the onion jam and could have used some more seasoning. As I ate the burger I realized it was over cooked medium-well/ well which led to a very tough bite (I ordered it medium rare). For dessert we ordered a 3 layer mousse which had a good balance of flavor and sweetness. Overall this meal was pleasant but we felt the atmosphere and service could use improvement. We felt rushed and the server did not really check back in with us as servers typically do. We understand they want to keep meals limited to 90 minutes for a high turnover (according to table signage) but our meal wasn't more than 50 minutes and could have been more enjoyable if paced.
This is a killer burger when prepared correctly and a very popular menu item. We are sorry your wasn't prepared to our standards. As far as our ambience and "unused" gear on tables, these are delivery bags we use daily. We have lost half our seating, these tables are generating revenue by being used for take out. We have no storage for the take out supplies needed. Most guests appreciate that Take Out has kept us alive through a tough year and accept the "gear" being neatly stacked on tables.
Food, as always, was great!
I enjoyed sitting outside very much, and had great service. One minor annoyance: I purchased a $26 lobster grilled cheese, and was asked what side I wanted. She gave me a list of choices, and I chose onion rings. When the bill came there was a $3 up charge, which was never mentioned. On a $130 bill for 2 grownups and a child, it felt stingy.
Food was stunningly good, quite memorable. This was the first of what promises to be many happy returns. Modern decor, sparkling clean, great service. Excellent!
Our dinner at Innovo was excellent, from the food to the service.
Outstanding! Initially, we were concerned about the strip mall locations (without having visited prior) but that proved to be a non-issue as the corner location in a new retail development with a large, open floor plan ended up contributing to the overall positive experience.
Attentive/professional service with creative/tasty menu items and excellent drink service was a winning combination. An overall excellent dining experience.
Unpretentious great food. Cocktails are masterfully crafted.
Amazing as always, the ONLY, restaurant we’ve gone to during the pandemic. Their safety measures are visible and practical and their take out options are amazing as well. Kudos to Innovo Kitchen.
1st time dining at a restaurant with friends since March ‘20, now that we all are fully vaccinated. Plus it was a gorgeous day to be outdoors on your patio.
A great experience & happy to be back at Innovo.
Innovo Kitchen never disappoints. Never. Our 7 year old even said that it was amazing. My husband enjoys their lamb burger and gets it almost every time. I get something different every time, and this time I had the Cod Fish ragu. I had the leftovers for breakfast. It was delicious. We also had the fish tacos which were great. Our server, Antolina (I hope I got that right) was fantastic. This was a very impromptu outing since we have mostly been home. Pre-pandemic, Innovo was one of our favorite places to have a date or family dinner. Nothing has changed.
This will be my new go-to place to eat. Food was great and service was better than Jack's in Albany.
Our server, Stephen, was attentive, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our dinner.
Server was a great guy! Not sure if it was the manager or someone else but very nice also.
Service is good if you sit at a table but bar seating service takes while to get a drink for some reason
It was a little cold at the outside tables. They didn’t turn the overhead heaters on until right before we left.
First time dining in since the pandemic began a year ago. It was wonderful. They accommodated us with a private side room indoors. The service and food was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.
Innovo Kitchen was great as always!
Too much emphasis was on the need to complete our dinner within the 1 1/2 time frame.
We wanted to enjoy a pre-dinner drink but were constantly reminded we needed to hurry along so that we would not overstay our visit. I love Innovo but I probably won’t dine in again until they are at full capacity. I will continue take out since I want to support the great people who cook and work here.
Great place, great food and service!
Great food and great waiter. Never had a bad experience here.
Our entrees were great; mixed feelings about the new pimento appetizer. Bacon detracts from the pretzel flavor, the pretzel shape wasn’t really appetizing and the pimento is missing its usual zip - pretty bland. Service was very attentive, and very pleasant. I get that this is a difficult time for restaurants, as I’m a small business owner, but having unusable tables piled with boxes, cooler bags etc really doesn’t make for a great dining experience. I chose innovo to bring my husbands boss visiting from Denver, and to be honest I was embarrassed that the place looked like a storage closet.
You are right, times are difficult for restaurants. We need to do anything necessary to survive. We never set out to be a take out restaurant, over half of business is now takeout. Storage is limited, our only choice is to use unused tables in the DR for take out supplies. Any hidden storage is packed with take out boxes. Seating is limited to 50%, guests understand that using these tables helps us generate revenue. We make every effort to keep tables neat. It's pure survival at this time.
The food, waiters, and the whole ambiance is amazing!!
Great food and the extent to which they follow COVID guidelines is impressive!!!
Always great food and fantastic service! Thank you for making my business meeting enjoyable!
At least once a month we choose to go to Innovo for the amazing food and level of service we receive. It’s always comfortable and we feel safe with all of the safety measures they have taken!
