Better than average fare and good location but food was cold even when it was brought to the table.

quite rude to other people from what I witnessed. A delivery man and an elder women was spoken too pretty harshly be service industry standards. I was sitting near the entrance door and saw it firsthand. Not to mention my appetizer didn't come out until after my entrée..

Was so happy to be back at Island for dinner. Tables were well spaced, service was great, food was delicious, and can't wait to go back.

The food was great, the drinks could have been better, it went from great drinks to some poorly made one's. Overall it was still great had the best calamari of my life here.

For inside it was very very cold. Like we couldn't take our coats off. I get businesses need to get their expenses in order, but it's February. Turn the heat on.

Very cold outdoor dining setup, could barely sit for long

Out local favorite restaurant where my daughter had her first meal out. They are doing everything right with outdoor dining too. Thank God for some normalcy in this pandemic. We love Island!

I went back for the second week in a row. My go to outside dining choice is now Island. The outdoor seating is good. The food is excellent and the service couldn't have been nicer. I almost don't want to write this so that it doesn't get too hard to make a rez.

I come to Island often and it is always such a great experience! I was nervous to dine outside in the cold but their outdoor setup was perfect. So cozy and cute! Staff was so sweet as always and food was delicious! The French Toast was so yummy and their Espresso Martinis... LOVE. Highly recommend :)

We were three sitting inside. I requested a corner table from Ottavio, on the phone. He reassured me it would be waiting. Nothing. The pleasant lady who greeted us was able to arrange a table anyway. one in our party was a childhood friend who flew into New York for a surgery and we got together after 60 years. She lives in Chile and we were in primary school together for two years, in Istanbul. The food was unimportant but the Salads Nicoise... how can seared tuna have strings of fat in it? My wife said her crab cake, served over spinach, could have been a woolen glove. I n noticed our guest left half her order on the plate. Having said all that, I liked the decor, the ambience and the general feel of the place. I might give it another try before condemning it forever.

I go to Island at least once a week. Like the food and the service. It is like being with a family. Great to be on the sidewalk.

Everything is always terrific- delicious food, cold martinis, and great service.

You expect a certain level of freshness at a seafood restaurant. The tuna in the tuna poke was brown from sitting in a marinade for too long. The lobster in the lobster roll was dry and tasteless, suggesting something that the restaurant purchases frozen, rather than prepares fresh. Wine glasses are also a joke - totally incorrect for proper wine service.

The Eggs Benedict was sub par.

Island is a nice neighborhood restaurant with a menu that offers something for everyone. The service was excellent, the food delicious, the ambiance was a tent on the sidewalk (!) and it is a friendly, pleasant place to enjoy lunch.

Delicious and cheerful. Tables were spaced very far apart and all precautions taken.

Wonderful restaurant. Very accommodating during the pandemic. But they are digging up Madison Avenue and you can't hear anything at lunch time. Hopefully, this will end!

Always wonderful - this time, dining outdoors, of course, there was jack-hammering going on across the street - just unfortunate. But a great restaurant!

We went to the Island to celebrate my birthday. I ordered the snapper entree, my date ordered the lobster roll. Food wasn’t incredibly flavorful but was plated pretty. The cherry old fashion was delicious. Staff was attentive. Ambiance was romantic. I would return for the drinks and ambience.

Nice menu choices. Food was very good. Service a little slow, but believe that was because they were busy and only had two servers working. Would definitely go again.

I have been to Island many times and I am sure it is because of Covid but the food was mediocre at best. My curry chicken salad sandwich could not have been more bland and it had more apple then chicken. Meh!
