   Chef Duji is giving Jack's a bit of a revival. The entire staff is professional and friendly, with just the right amount of checking in on you. The food is excellent and comes hot. Just enough time between the appetizers and next course. Fine dining experience here is not pretentious and while Jack's is not a family restaurant. Families love to make memories at Jack's. If you're in the Wilson, NC area...you should dine at Jack's. You won't be disappointed.

   Would have been nice to know ahead of time that they currently had no liquor license. However, food remained excellent under new ownership.

   Food was excellent, though the background noise made it difficult to hear the people talking next to me. Waitress was attentive and very assistive. Parking was good and the only issue was that the interior door opened in, if there was an emergency we could all be trapped.

   Jack’s is continuously one if the very best restaurants in Wilson. The food is superb. And Natalie - provides the most wonderful service in the area, period. She makes us want to come back over and over again! Only lingering complaint: please bring back brunch!

   Sat down at 7. FINALLY ordered at 7:30. Still no food other than our appetizer by almost 9, so we left. Waitress kept telling us it was coming soon and that's the only reason we stayed as long as we did. Once we realized that tables all around us, that had been there all of 30 minutes were getting their food, we left. I believe our order was never put in or it got lost.

    I had never been to this restaurant in my own hometown before. We had the short ribs and shrimp and grits. The short ribs were delicious, they actually melted in your mouth and were well seasoned. The shrimp and grits while full of flavor had a bit too much salt in the sauce. The shrimp and the grits though were well prepared. The service was excellent, courteous and attentive. Their sweet tea, which I don’t usually drink anymore, now opting for water, was especially tasty. I’ll be back to try some of the other good looking items on the menu.

    I enjoy the lounge/bar area. The bartenders are the best bar none. The food is divine and the martini's are the best and the atmosphere and ambiance is fantastic. If you have never gone, GO! You will not regret it. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and they know the menu.

    This is a wonderful place to eat, most of the time. However, if you have any health issues, especially dealing with the heart or blood pressure, you might stay home! There was too much salt in all of the food, even though my wife specifically asked for no added salt (all our food tasted like extra salt had been added). Last time she ordered the exact same dish (salmon), and told the server (as she always does) that she was salt sensitive and did not want any extra salt, she got exactly what she asked for. I'm hoping that the chef did not get angry about being told this. We will not be visiting for a bit. We don't use much salt at home, so I, too, notice when there seems to be extra on my food, and that was certainly true this visit - I could not eat half of my plate, which was sad, since we spent around $80 on our food. It is difficult to find a restaurant in this town that will follow our request, and we were surprised and disappointed that the chef seems to have added salt to already-salted food! Jack's is a better restaurant than this!

    We decided to stop for a dinner while driving from Savannah to Washington for some decent healthy food and was not disappointed. Do not expect anything upscale there but if you tired from deep-fried food and want to eat something almost homemade- you’ll have to stop here. We like everything that we ordered there. Service was a bit out (we have to tell our waitress to clean our table from piling empty dishes after we finished food because she didn’t pay attention that our table is dirty and literally have no space for new dishes) but again, we didn’t expect much. I do recommend it.

    Our server Madison was great. Tough time deciding on appetizer as all looked great. Had bake Brie with three different sauces. Was outstanding! Needed more bread and they delivered. Steaks cooked to perfection with a wide choice of sides, which were also great. Bar very accommodating as well as our server who customized our drinks to our order

    GREAT food! Service was good, but a little chaotic - got our appetizer before we got waters! Highly recommend for an upscale affordable dinner date! The a la carte meat entrees was SUPERB.

    We really enjoyed our anniversary date at Jac's. We were seated promptly even though we were a couple of minutes before the time for our reservation. The food was delicious - I had salmon and my husband a ribeye. Our waitress was prompt and very pleasant. We did have to ask for water refills but that's ok.

    There seemed to be a disconnect between the wait staff and the bar. We waited 15 minutes after being seated for a drink. We received and finished our appetizer and it still hadn’t come, so I finally went around to the bar. It was sitting in a window, waiting to be picked up. Same thing happened with the glass of wine with dinner. Other than that the service was fine, waitress was very accommodation and the food was outstanding.

    My two daughters take me out to dinner every year during the holidays to a great restaurant. This year we picked Jacks. We sat in the bar area and the food and service was the best.

    Service was a little slow they had a few big parties and not enough staff to handle all the table. That said though it wasn't as slow as a lot of other aces I have been since covid and the food was great

    When you have a 7pm reservation (6 people) for a big occasion (father's 85th birthday) and you're seated on time and food order placed by 7:20, but do not get your meal served until about 9:15pm... something's not right. It does not matter the quality of food when the lack of communication from the server and near absent table attention dampens the tastiness. Our asking multiple times about our meal were met with "I'll go check" and we never truly got a satisfactory answer. Meanwhile, two tables near us turned twice each and a another turned three times (!), while we had nothing on our table. Our appetizer (which came quickly) was long gone by the time we asked for some bread. That too was eaten long before our meals were delivered. We asked for another round of bread to stave off hunger, but we never got it. We had to flag a server down to ask for more drinks and got a requested wine menu delivered 30 minutes after the food arrived. Other than a half-hearted "the kitchen's backed up," we never got any explanation how one salmon, one burger, one salad, one filet, and a split ribeye could take almost two hours to make. Other than a "Sorry about that folks" and a "Thanks for your patience" as we were walking out the door, there was no real appreciation from our server or management (was there any? we never saw anyone) for how long we waited without food. No drinks on the house, so comped appetizer, no free dessert (not even for the 85-year-old birthday boy who specially requested Jack's to celebrate) - nothing. The food was really good, but not worth the two hour roundtrip drive. Next birthday, Dad will come to Raleigh.

    Been wanting to try this place for months now and finally decided to check it out. Jack’s did not disappoint! Food was amazing! The spot isn’t that big and became packed in a blink so I would recommend reserving a table.

    fried oyster app was very good and reasonable. tuna was done perfectly. wine was excellent and reasonable, and finally service was prompt, helpful but not intrusive. if we stop again in wilson, we'll be back.
