I’ve been to JoJo’s Shake Bar several times whenever I’m in Orlando visiting the theme parks, but unfortunately, my most recent visit will be my last. My boyfriend ordered a smoothie and, while drinking it, felt chunks in his mouth. He took them out and discovered large pieces of plastic in the smoothie. We showed the staff, and their response was essentially, “Sorry about that, we’ll take it off your bill.” That was it. No manager came over, no one asked if he was okay, and there seemed to be very little concern that he could have swallowed or choked on plastic. Mistakes happen, but how a restaurant responds matters. Simply removing the smoothie from the bill felt like an incredibly inadequate response to something this serious. The food was decent—it’s a burger and shake place and it was fine—but the way this situation was handled completely changed my opinion of the restaurant. After being a repeat customer, I won’t be returning.
JoJo's Shake Bar - OrlandoResponded on 31 August 2026
Hi, we’re truly sorry to hear about your recent experience, especially as a returning guest. What you described is extremely concerning, and we understand why the situation and our response left you disappointed. We should have immediately involved a manager, checked in to make sure your boyfriend was okay, and treated the situation with the urgency it deserved. Simply removing the smoothie from the bill was not an adequate response, and we sincerely apologize. We take food safety and concerns like this very seriously and will be escalating your feedback with our management team. We’re especially sorry that this experience has changed your perception of JoJo’s after being a repeat guest. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

This was a great novelty place with good food and crazy shakes. Even the basic shakes were great. Party of 3. Enough food to share. We ordered one of the specialty shakes and 2 basic shakes. So good! The server was very attentive and didn’t leave us waiting for things. Recommend this place if you like the novelty and don’t mind spending a little more for the fun.

Heather, Thank you so much for the awesome review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the food, shakes, and over-the-top JoJo’s experience. We’re also glad to hear your server took great care of your group! We appreciate the recommendation and hope to see you again for another round of crazy shakes soon!

We did the prepay option since we wanted to make a reservation for a party of 12. Definitely wouldn't do it again. Save your money. American food is average. Nothing special. People go for the insane milkshakes and desserts. Pricey but a fun time for if you have kids because they love the experience especially if celebrating a birthday. I don't plan to ever return.
JoJo's Shake Bar - OrlandoResponded on 27 July 2026
We're sorry the Group Dining reservation and the food did not meet your expectations. We appreciate you noting the milkshakes, desserts, and that the experience can be fun for kids during a celebration. Thank you for your honest feedback about price and value. We appreciate you sharing your experience.
