Best octopus AND bread pudding we’ve ever had! Everything was delicious and the service was stellar. Absolutely delightful.
Great ambiance, food, service. This place has not lost a beat because of Covid. First dinner out in one year was a great experience. We shall return.
Wonderful place for an anniversary with my girlfriend! Great value and great food especially during the Hemingway hour!
We had a wonderful dinner last night at Joselita. We sat outdoors under an umbrella as the evening gently cooled. It was an unusually quiet Saturday night in Eastern Mkt neighborhood, and with light traffic, the ambience outdoors was very pleasant. The meal -once again - spectacular. We started with gazpacho, which is an amazing blend of gardeny flavors, with a nice chill to transition from the hot summery day. Chicekn liver terrine (my partner’s favorite) was delicious, served with a berry preserve to add a sweet tanginess. Cod fish fritters were served piping hot, sweet and salty. The potato and tuna salad was perfectly okay but not as spectacular as the other dishes. Service was attentive but not pushy. We lingered for a while after to continue our conversation, as there were no customers waiting. It was a really pleasant evening.
This was the perfect last minute/casual date night. The service was excellent and the food was too. We especially enjoyed the cold tuna tapa, the cold scallops tapa and the mushroom crepe.
What a great restaurant. Love the atmosphere and the food is always delicious.
It’s always a pleasure to dine at Joselito. The good is superb, the staff attentive but not overly so, the ambiance transports you to Spain. One of my favorite places to dine.
It was my birthday celebration- they were very accommodating and gave wonderful recommendations. The red sangria and flan is a must try!
We love the food and are willing to occasionally splurge to dine here. I had Gallito cocktail (sweet, grapefruity), another guest had red wine, two others had sparkling sangria which comes with a fruit-packed ice cube which was cool! We ate duck, octopus, mackerel, gazpacho. All fine. Small portions. Expensive.
Outdoor table for 4 was pre-reserved and was fine: small but not too close to other tables.
If dining outdoors, bring insect repellent. Capitol Hill has lots of mosquitoes.
La comida no estaba buena. A las meseras les falta vocación de servicio
Consistently outstanding food, service, and ambience.
The food here really is pretty incredible. It’s a delight every time I go, and every person I send there always makes a point to thank me after the fact for the recommendation
It was nice but the kitchen closed super early and they’ve removed most traditional Spanish tapas from the menu, which is sad! Loved the sangria with the fruit filled ice cube though!
As good as in Spain!
Joselitio, as always, was excellent. The menu choices makes it difficult to decide what to order, and, when the selections arrive the taste and presentation are mouthwatering and the look like they taste.
Dinner at Joselito during Restaurant Week was fantastic! The 4 of us ordered 3 different tapas each and shared them. They were all delicious. The cocktails were great and most of all, we took our time. The small plates were brought out just when we were ready for the next course. Loved it.
Was there during restaurant week with friends. Wonderful food, amazing Sangria and the presentation was fantastic. The food was great but it was brunch so i’m excited to go back and see their true dinner entrees.
Eating here was such a great experience. We were seated right away for our reservation. The place was super busy, but service was still personalized. Food was fantastic. The highlights were the sea bass, Iberian pork shoulder, Wayguy bavette, and octopus in the shrimp, mussel and octopus salad. Also enjoyed the Sangrias! Get a pitcher!
The food is great however it came slow. The ventilation in the room was not good.
I didn’t realize when I made the reservation for 9 that they close at 9! We had a group of 7 and realized the situation after we already ordered our food. I’m sure it was extremely inconvenient for us to be there but everyone was so patient & kind and never made us felt rushed. The food was delicious but the service was the sweetest!
We had an incredible time! Food and service were both amazing. Thank you so much to everyone!
2nd time dining here. Everything was amazing, as expected. Karen, our server, was great and knowledgeable. She also remembered us from our previous visit. Superb Wine list.
Excellent tapas and superb suggestions from the stafff…we’ll be back!
Mitchell was our wonderful server. He was personable, helpful and attentive. All the dishes were amazing. This place is s gem.
Incredible food, there was nothing I didn’t love.
Wonderful Restaurant Week outing, with plenty of delicious choices and each one had something special to recommend it. Only down side was the overpriced wine.
Long before I had a child, I went to Joselito for the 20% happy hour and the delicious food. Now, I came back with our toddler. The food as always was wonderful but the staff went above and beyond to make sure our table was ready with a high chair. Everyone stopped by to say hello, clear the cheerios, and made it a great experience. Customer for life.
Joselito has been a favorite for my wife and me for years but pandemic caution kept us away for 18 months before our recent early dinner outside on a cool-ish, summer evening. Joselito hadn't lost a beat. The familiar server was as professional, friendly and knowledgeable of food and drink menus as ever. Our two different, inventive cold soups were excellent as were our flavorful tapas and delicious main courses of octopus and sea bass. As always, the wine was excellent and well-priced. We immediately realized we had missed Joselito even more than we realized. We'll return soon.
Amazing as always. The new menu items are fun and delicious and the staff continues to surprise us with their attention and cheerfulness. Thanks!!
Such a cute and quaint restaurant! Dining here has been on my list for a while, and they did not disappoint. The servers are kind and attentive. The food is delicious, and I love that they offer various sizes for most of their fair. The Tuna Crudo and Chicken Pâté were favorites at the table. The Lamb Shank and Chilean Sea Bass were cooked to perfection. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.
Great food, leisurely but excellent service, great homey atmosphere. Will definitely return in future!
Incredible food, great dining experience. Thank you Leo!!
It was my birthday! A very nice intimate environment. The food was amazing!
Very good as always.
Food and service was excellent.
Haven't been in a long time. Menu changed a bit, but still delicious. Even our favorite server cam back! Love going here.
Family of 4 enjoyed a delicious brunch - loved the cod fritters especially - and indulged in a glass of white sangria too. Service was excellent and they even created an ice coffee for our picky coffee drinker. Atmosphere was relaxed and the occasion felt "pre-pandemic" festive. Such a treat.
