   Terrific meal. Service was very good. Ambiance was nice and cozy. Cocktails interesting too. Not a huge menu. One of my favorite places.

   Had the best experience at Josephine house for lunch on Tuesday! I got the breakfast sandwich, my dad had a perfectly cooked burger and my mom got a salad. We were all extremely happy with our meals. I would 100% come back for the breakfast sandwich. Our server was so kind and attentive!

   We came to Josephine House for dinner and loved every single thing we got! The service was amazing, the drinks were fantastic, the ambiance was quaint and cozy, and the steak frites were some of the best I've ever had! Definitely can't wait to come back any time I'm in Austin.

   Love this place, even on a chilly night, they’re able to make their outdoor seating cozy and warm with blankets and heaters. Our server was excellent, she knew we were catching up after not seeing each other for many years, and perfectly balanced our eve with food/drinks and quiet time. My friend is a hard-to-please New Yorker and was blown away by this ATX gem. Everything was delicious but the brussel sprouts and shishito peppers—as well as the olive oil orange cake for dessert—were divine.

   Had a lovely brunch here. I had the shrimp and grits and a slice of blueberry banana bread. Honestly the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had! The only thing that was a little tedious was finding somewhere to park. Overall fantastic experience!!

   We snagged a mid-morning brunch reservation on Sunday due to the time change- I think lots of people canceled in the middle of the night- their loss, our gain! It was our first visit to Austin and we are so thankful we got to experience Josephine House! Our food was top notch, the servers were knowledgeable and attentive, and it was a lovely morning to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the sunshine and cool air! Highly recommended- when in Austin you can’t miss Josephine House!

    Nice variety and large portions for entrees. Patio is fun outdoor space. Drink menu is interesting. Definitely worth a visit and repeat.

    The prices here have really become outrageously uncomfortable. Yes, the food remains high-quality, for sure, and the service is excellent. It’s simply getting away from reasonable living, imo.

    Josephine House came highly recommended by two separate friends back home. We slithered in last minute before our flight and it was the highlight of our trip. In a town where there is plenty of amazing food, It’s hard to stand out like this. You succeeded. We’ll definitely be back.

    Great food! Definitely get the hamachi. Our server seemed stretched a little thin, as they had tables inside and out. The vibe was also a little off... Overall a good experience but missed the expectation we had established from their reputation.

    Such a great atmosphere! Bakery items were delicious and so were the other breakfast options. Great coffee & juice as well. Would highly recommend the pancakes and breakfast sandwich. Reserve an outdoor table!

    Service was good, food came out rather quickly. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes during brunch, but you cannot go wrong with the shrimp and grits! 100% recommend the dish. I’ll be getting that next time. Only downside, parking is spotty.

    We had a nice experience, somewhat pricey (food and wine) but we did order wine of the reserve list which elevated the cost. We will try going again.. in the hear future.

    Food was good to excellent. Streak frites was exceptional. Service was slow. Nice atmosphere but somewhat noisy. I was put off by the slow service but I’d go back.

    Miguel, our weight staff was amazing and the experience was phenomenal. We had been to an equally rated restaurant two weeks before and it was loud and did not feel as intimate. I highly rate Josephines for a special occasions.

    We enjoyed choosing Josephine House to entertain two author friends and celebrate their new book launch. The food and service was wonderful and proved to be a great choice. We drove in from San Antonio and will surely enjoy coming again and also making another date to visit Jeffery's.

    Had pumpkin soup, burger and steak frites. Soup was cold and overall food was subpar. Fries tasted like grocery store freezer fries and both meats were meh. Server never refilled wines and dropped check before asking if we might want more drinks. (There wasn’t a wait). Still had a lovely time enjoying wine on the patio. Just a bummer about the food.

    Have been here before and always have a great time. This visit was disappointing. We sat on the patio which is usually lovely,but they were drilling holes in the back of us and it was so loud and annoying we couldn’t carry on a conversation. I mentioned it to the manager and she said they were fixing a heater that heats the booth tables. There we’re actually customers sitting in the booth that they were repairing, who also had to talk loudly which spilled over to us. I understand that wanted to fix this , but at this point it was already comfortable. They had heaters going. I feel like they could have waited until brunch was over to do this. She did ask if we wanted to move, which we could have done but they shouldn’t have started the repair during service. It was disruptive.

    Girls lunch was delicious and so much fun. Our server was great. Brunch was leisurely and attentive. The Lox were yummy, wished the potatoes had a touch more salt in them. Croissants were flaky as always. Pancakes were light. All around good lunch experience.

    Josephine House is a fave in our family. One of the best burgers in town. And we all love the rice bowl (however, could chef maybe do something besides steam the brussels in the bowl??)
