KANU is a brand new 3-story restaurant, nightclub & rooftop patio located in the heart of downtown Old Town. The first floor offering an array of ambient possibilities; catering to all types of gatherings, both large and small.

NOTES:
Booking “Bar” is a seat on the 1st floor or 3rd bar*, there are no tables.
Booking “Counter” is an outdoor seat at our chair rail on our rooftop.*

We had a wonderful time. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our waitress was a true professional. The new menu was spectacular. We loved every last bite and will be back soon.

I have eaten here MANY times and I will continue to come back, the food is always SO good, I love trying new things. Drinks are always on point too. Staff is always super nice an very attentive.

Food was GREAT, but other things could be improved like no spoon for our coffee or tea; no salt, pepper, cream & sugar on the table; a very small water glass; a rather small table close to the fireplace heat.

My husband and I enjoyed our reservations at Kanu very much. We made the visit for brunch, celebrating a birthday. The food and service was excellent . From the entry at the door (love the seating area) and the plates and drinks to the table, every employee we encountered was gracious and sincere. The atmosphere was super inviting and classy without being too over the top. We are looking forward to going again for dinner. If an establishment is worth making a trip, then expect to wait. We will definitely be back! So glad we made it. We Kanu, you should too!!

Very nice atmosphere except for music being too loud. Also, multiple TV screens showing pictures of the restaurant and food seemed sort of weird. The food was good and service was excellent.

We met some friends for Sunday brunch. We started with some well mixed drinks. The food choices were broad and creative. The food took some time to be delivered to us but our waitress kept us informed. The staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, we had a great experience.

Kanu is a wonderful spot with an amazing interior, great overall vibes, and overly priced food for the area. Great spot to go if you don’t care about value, you’re looking to impress, or someone else is paying for the food. Oh, and avoid the table next to the glass window by the kitchen. The view is nice, but you can hear the death metal being blasted by the kitchen staff (no shade on them, food was alright).

I went to Sunday brunch. The waiter let us know they were short staffed so I appreciated that bit of information, and he did the best he could. Service was therefore understandably slow but i was disappointed when the eggs benedict and the potatoes were both cool to touch on arrival to my table. The place looks great and i hope this was just a bad day for them!

My friend ordered the steak and unfortunately it was tougher than boiled owl, as we say in Maine. The server had it re-cooked and unfortunately it wasn't any better I have a feeling they just got some poorly cut steaks in anyway overall we had a very nice time the server was excellent the pizza was great my drinks were good thank you

The ambiance is wonderful, the drinks are unique and delicious and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices are a little high for entrees but there are less expensive options. The flavors were good on the appetizers but a few more options would be great.

First time at Kanu, took my step son and his roommate out to dinner for his birthday. Chose the place because it was close to the college campus they live on. Food was delicious, a bit pricey for the amount you get. We did not leave full. Drinks were ok, again pricey. Definitely more of an adult evening place versus taking teenagers. Place was not full as it was right when they opened so would love to experience it at peak hours.

We were pleasantly surprised by finding this gem of a restaurant in Old Town. It was recommended by a friend. We made reservations for the rooftop, which is very nicely designed. Great seating, including couches with fire pits, tables near fire pits and other seating as well. Plus they have an awesome bar and some really creative drinks that also include mocktails, wine and craft beer. The vibe is modern and edgy with some cool background music playing. We really enjoyed the food and the overall experience. What a great find! They could use some more prominent signage outside to make sure people see it. The restaurant covers a total of 3 floors, including a private party space! Very cool.

First time visit and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Had the pizzas and thought they were amazing - sat at the couches by the fire, and found very comfortable (although I thought I had booked a standard table - the booking is confusing). Will definitely be going back frequently seeing the new menu - would like to see a vegan option and more vegetarian options.

This was our first brunch, it was very good and with a party of 7 seemed like we all got something a little different. Chicken and waffles were great, the chicken was a little well done so the breading was very hard and crispy, could have had a little more syrup on the waffle. Loc and Bagle were wonderful. Eggs Benedict were good but they ran out of Canadian Bacon the regular bacon was great. Overall, I will go back and give it a try. Hard to beat the dinner menu.

Service was slow and the place was dead. The waitress never came back after serving drinks or dinner to check in on us. The menu was limited and we waited for a long time to get our check. The place is beautiful but the staff were slow and did not give good service.
