Awesome ambience, the food is pricy but is excellent tasting and they are very accommodating to allergy’s. The view was awesome, keep in mind if you go on a Friday or Saturday night it may be a little loud.

Excellent service and food, but the restaurant layout was terrible (i.e., too many seats crammed into a tiny dining space). We had to physically move our table for each guest to sit.

Very disappointing, the food was horrible. The sushi plates we ordered were not fresh and the rice tasted old, so the seafood. I don’t mind paying for overpriced food but in this case, the food was horrible and I got bothered with the lack of quality. The waitress was ok, a bit snobbish and the other waitress serving water was extremely rude. We ordered six plates and at the end of each plate she would come to our table and ask- are you ready to order more ? She asked the same questions about ten times. We just wanted to relax, a joy our drinks, and enjoy the view. Extremely annoying. It seems like she wanted us to be consuming food for every second we stayed there. Not to mention we were still sipping on our drinks. We left less than an hour later because she was no annoying and rude. I have a lot of friends from work (I’m a lawyer) that comes to Dallas for work and always ask me for recommendations, I’m definitely telling them not to go to this place.

a good place for a romantic date. views of dallas were spectacular. the ambience was great. not a first date type of place. youre going to spend $150 minimum for 2. and you will still be hungry when you leave. lol. prices crazy high. but a nice place to go to sometimes

We had reservations at 9:15 and were notified at 10:30 that our table was ready. By that point we were ready to go and did not wish to be seated. Ultimately decided to leave.

The best thing about this place is the view….and that’s what you’re paying for. The good we had was good. I ordered a $63 appetizer for my entree called the Miyazaki Nigiri, which was good and contained Wagyu and salmon, but I was disappointed because for that price the Wagyu was only in one of the 3 small pieces. All the other rolls my table had were good, king crab and tuna. Our waitress was very slow with ALL things…drinks, taking our order…I don’t know if this is by design or not. The food menu is very limited, where the wine and cocktail menu is extensive! I probably won’t go back, but if I do it’ll be to Monarch. The chocolate soufflé goes hard there!

The food menu was uninspiring. Sashimi, nigiri and rolls were mediocre at best. Nigiri was made without a dab of wasabi and with rice that fell apart while eating. I've eaten better sushi at fast-food sushi spots around Dallas. The only redeeming items were the inventive, unique cocktails.

My date and I found that the attention on the Monarch downstairs greatly overshadowed Kessaku. While the view was great, their focus is largely on the drinks. If you’re looking for a lounge to impress a date consider stopping here after dinner. But if you’re looking for great sushi, you’ll find the prices high, the selection low, and the quality merely acceptable.

First off, the view is great. We sat at a two top and were able to enjoy our meal unobstructed. Service and food were good, no issues but with such a small menu it’s unfortunate that truffle is such a predominant ingredient in several dishes. The restaurant is incredibly loud, and they compensate by playing louder almost club music, which causes people to talk even louder. This feels like a one time special occasion restaurant and after you realize that it was just OK and you won’t be back.

If you are looking for a special intimate dinner with your spouse this is not the place. Whoever designed the set up made a huge mistake, a table of two will end up sitting on a sofa lounge couch with two other strangers besides them. The seating options are weird and awkward. The sushi is good no complaints there. The menu is very small and very limited. Service felt rush I wasn’t even done with my drink when someone came to pick it up. I politely said I’m not done yet. I felt that servers ambassadors were constantly at our table picking up things immediately trying to turn the table. We ended up only staying for dinner 30 minutes or so.

The tables close to the windows have a great view. If you’re sitting in the middle you can still see the view but more than likely are sitting with other diners not in your party. We had a reservation however we were told to go to the observatory for a few minutes because they had sat our waitress too many times. A few minutes later we were texted that our table was ready and they tried to sit us at the opposite end of 3 people but we’d have to move the entire table to enter and get our legs under so not wanting to disrupt the table we asked to be sat somewhere else. After awkwardly waiting in the middle of the dining room they sat us somewhere else. Our waitress was okay she took our order but nothing special or exceptional about the service.

I love the experience and it has a really nice view. The drinks and service were good but the food is a bit limited. It's not really a true sushi place if you want to have sushi. The fish was fresh, and it tasted good, but the options are very slim, as you can tell from the menu. I think it's a great place for a date but not worth spending all the money on sushi there.

Disappointed for his seating turned out. Stuck 3 people at a table for 2, when there was a table designated for 4 available. We would have stayed longer and bought more food had we been seated comfortably.
