Fantastic flavors and really could tell the chef had mastery over what he/she was creating. Presentation of the dishes was also very nice. Definitely recommend the Chicken Karahi. Best indian curry dish I’ve had at a restaurant in America. Pleasantly surprised! Will be coming back.

I've been to Khan Saab lots of times, and the food is always consistently fantastic. There has not been a single thing on the menu that I tried and did not like. My go-to items are the goat cheese kulcha (a stuffed naan), malai chicken tikka, smoked beef kabab, and the biryani. Definitely try some of their delicious mocktails, too, and the smoked Negroni is my favorite. It's best to make reservations, especially on the weekends, as they can get quite busy.

The salmon and shrimp masala entries were fabulous and reasonably priced. We sat outside so had street noise, but the interior looks very nice and we will eat indoors next time. Service was superior.

Great ambiance. Great service. Really impressive drink menu considering it's a non-alcoholic Muslim joint. Food presentation across the board was outstanding. The bhel puri and pani puri were really great. The main dishes needed more seasoning. Paneer Tikka was under-seasoned. Chola was underseasoned. Daal Bukhara was really good but a bit heavy on the butter/ghee component. The gulab jamun was outstanding -- very creative with the nutella.

I came to LA for a vacation with my wife. I found this halal restaurant on OpenTable App and booked the reservation. We ordered Pani Puri, bun with keema (I forgot the name), chicken karahi, and lamb chop. The food was so tasty, like Karachi style. We are glad that we visit this restaurant. I strongly recommend this restaurant! We will go back again when we travel to LA. All waiters are on the floor to help customers. The cook/owner, Ali, was so humble and down to earth. He came to our table and asked for our feedback about the food. They all were great and friendly. Thank you for great food and hospitality.

I expected a lot from this restaurant and was a bit disappointed. The food overall lacked flavor. Our drinks did not follow their respective description, the appetizers were not the correct temperature or texture, the meat entrees were super greasy, was a turn off, and the breads were too yeasty and dry. While I want to give this place another chance, I’m not ready to back yet.

People usually pay for the experience or quantity or even quality, in this case I would say there was non. Quality is OK, some dishes are good others just ok. Experience and presentation are not great. Quantity, it depends, but would consider it as a expensive place.

This is the second time that food has taken forever to arrive. Despite a reservation, we were seated 30 mins later and waited another 40 mins for food to arrive before giving up and leaving without eating. The time before this it also took more than an hour for food to arrive which they attributed to some mishap in the kitchen. Mishaps don’t happen every time.

We attended Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen as a group of four. When we arrived, a server was lighting candles at tables. We were sitting right there, and she ignored our table. She also ignored all other tables with people sitting at them. So no candle illumination for them or us. We ordered our food. It took a half hour for it to arrive. We had to remind the waitress that we were waiting for our food. She never came by to ask us how we were doing in the 30 minutes that we waited for our food. No suggestion to order an appetizer because the food would take so long getting to us. No apologies for the long wait. This was just a thoroughly uncourteous and cold experience. Never going there again. And there are no samosas or other traditional Indian appetizers.

The food, while it had amazing notes and flavor profiles, needed more salt. It always baffles me when chefs, especially at highly rated restaurants, don’t season food adequately. Additionally, the heater was on during service and it got too hot as it was in the 70’s outside. It felt like I was sweltering in the Kashmiri heat. Overall, the restaurant could use an upgrade in their delivery of hospitality to take it to the next level. Otherwise, it will just end up being another Fullerton restaurant that is good, but not up to the challenge of being great.

Portions are great if you're a toddler. Unfortunately, we were all adults. Bread came out burnt. We asked for another one and it never came. Food wasn't horrible but not very good. We are Desi and know how the food is supposed to taste. We were wondering why the service was so bad and found out when we got the bill that they add an automatic 18% gratuity for any parties over 4. No alcohol. The bill was absurd $$$$. Needless to say, we will NOT be back.

The best food surprise we have found in a while. Everything is flavorful and delicious, be daring, you’ll like it all. Very attentive service. The mocktails are great! Stay away from the bottled sodas, they’re really overpriced unlike the rest of the menu. We will be telling all of our friends about this place.

We were there for a res at 4:30pm. A couple came in 15 mins after us but got a waiter asking them what they wanted before coming to us. And then we still had to wait maybe 10 minutes. Place was not busy at that time. Once ordered, the food took a very long time to show up. Seemed like a half hour. I understand it could be from problems with hiring people now— so I let that go. The food was definitely aspirational, and sometimes was very well spiced. But I think for what they are trying to do they miss the mark on layering spices in their dishes. A few of the chicken dishes we got had meat that was cooked too long. Same with the Rogan Josh and even the shrimp curry. Naan was amazing. The tamarind shooters inventive and fun. Same with the chai shot at end of meal. We tried about 5 main dishes and can group favorite was the chicken that came in the wok (presentation is fantastic here).

The summary: Fantastic, delectable food; fun drinks; and a great ambience. I've been coming to Khan Saab since their soft opening in early 2020 way back in the pre-pandemic times. The food has always been consistently fantastic, whether dining in or picking up take out. For the full effect, though, you have to dine in because the presentation and ambience, something usually glaringly missing from most Indian and Pakistani restaurants, is excellent. While the menu is full of recognizable desi favorites like biryani, garlic naan, and butter chicken, this restaurant is an elevated take, both in terms of food and ambience. The difference in quality is palpable since everything is freshly made. I especially enjoy the interesting twists, like the tomatillo chutney with the malai chicken tikka and the smoky cloche dome with the beef kabab. Something as seemingly simple as palak paneer was a whole other experience because the paneer was seared. Oh, and do not miss out on the goat cheese stuffed kulcha, a type of naan, served with the sauce from the butter chicken. Trust me on this one. Spice levels in the food can vary from mild to quite hot, so if anyone in your party is sensitive to spiciness, be sure to ask the server (and order extra raita or mango lassi to counter the heat). I also had the pleasure of having my birthday dinner here a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed the tomahawk steak. Hands down, it was one of the best steaks I ever had. Gather a few friends to go so you can justify getting the tomahawk steak because it is well worth it. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating, and they ensured all the food came out appropriately for our group as well as slicing and serving the birthday cake. Also, you haven't been to Khan Saab if you don't try at least one of the mocktails and get the smoked Negroni. I love that there's a whole range of non-alcoholic mixed drinks to experience, and they all go well with the food.

Space: Elegantly decorated with lots of indoor and some outdoor seating. However, the two times I've been here with prior reservations, I've been offered sub-par seating options like outdoor seating or end tables which are a bit uncomfortable/cornered when the restaurant is only 20% seated, which is a little disappointing. Esp when the maitre'd tells you sternly that outdoor is the only seating available when the indoors is empty on a cold night. Today, after insisting on a different seat, got a better table by the window. Also, our servers on both occasions were very good and gave some great recommendations. Food: the food takes a while to come out. The first time we visited in 2021, we had paneer and chicken tikkas that were cooked to perfection. And rasmalai which was alright. Today, our sabji and naan order took 40 mins to arrive. Naan was delicious/perfect, sabji was flavorful yet subtle. However, it was a little steep on the oil. The dessert, double ka meetha, was not the fav, bread was soggy). The kitchen is definitely the highlight, followed by the services.

The food was fabulous and our server David was excellent. It was over an hour drive for us. But so worth it. The lamb kabobs were fabulous, so much that our husbands ordered more after they finished their original order. We all loved the smoked beef kabobs too. The chicken briyani was delicious too. It is a wonderful place to eat.

I was warned the food wasn’t all that great however I wasn’t warned about the service. By far the worst service I’ve have received between south Asian and American dining restaurants. Our waitress although was accommodating to insist on switching our “mango mojito” drink which is nothing more than a mango drink from those cartons. She didn’t smile once and I’m pretty sure she forgot to put in our dinner order because we received it after an hour and not to mention, after our fellow neighbor who was seated about 20 minutes after us. Oh and I forgot to mention even being seated was so horrific!!! Although we had reservations, they didn’t seat us for 40 or so minutes. Ok fine they’re busy and over booked however what does that have to do with not being acknowledged? When trying to talk to one of the waitresses she flat out walked away from us. Again, they were busy but a simple smile and we’ll be right with you would have gone a long way. We were both mortified with the horrible service. The food itself was mediocre. Nothing to rave about! I will definitely never waste a dollar here again!

The food was really good. Really good. Delicious. We will DEFINITELY order takeout from them. Our problem was the food can take a long time. Even that is not a problem, but during the time we waited for our food we got no service. Next to zero. Our water ran out while we waited, and finally had to flag someone down for a refill. We got no attention, no suggestions for something to snack on while we waited, only one update during the entire time. It was a great restaurant. We really wanted to love it. But it was just strange literally sitting in a restaurant for 40 minutes waiting for food with little to no attention from the staff.
