La Food Marketa
Outdoor seating is the only seating currently available. In the event of inclement weather, incoming reservations will be seated on a first come - first serve basis. Tables currently sitting will be allowed to move to another table if possible, but tables themselves cannot be moved under any circumstance. We have limited space under cover and cannot accommodate every one to be out of the weather. If you have already ordered food and choose not to stay you will be given boxes to go. We ask for your patience and understanding with this as regardless of weather we need to maintain 6 foot distance between all tables at all times.
good salsa, corn salad, black hot sauce, flour tortillas, yellow rice & beans
awesome cabbage slaw, lime, pico, avocado, tortilla crumble, marketa ranch, corn tortilla
Black Bean Soup
sausage, pepperoni, ham, oj, herbs, crema
Nothing that came out of their kitchen was remotely warm, let alone hot... although the tot nachos were hot and very tasty. Guac/salsa and beans/rice were all bland while the octopus was super salty. The burger inside the crunchwrap was burnt and flat as a McDonald's burger.
Server was attentive at first, then hard to find when we didn't order at her pace and we felt rushed. Had to ask to have table bussed of plates and for the check.
Not impressed and we won't be back.
Interesting and tasty food choices. They offer dishes that you won’t find in any other restaurants. Nice atmosphere!
About a 20 minute wait with a reservation.
Delicious food and always, tried two new things, brake
Brussels sprout salad and tuna tostada which were both great, good flavor. Also ordered the octopus which we had before and loved but it tasted a bit off this time, the waiter graciously took it off the bill. A little busier than over the summer and louder but overall a good evening.
Excellent service. Food quality was great
Wonderful as always!
Wonderful outdoor dining spot, excellent food and service!
I am often eating at the restaurant across the street watching the line of people trying to get in. I decided to take my son and his girlfriend visiting for out of town to this restaurant. It was a perfect atmosphere to meet his new girlfriend. We all enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The cornbread was the absolutely best I’ve ever eaten. It’s a MUST!
I'd give the food about a 3.5, but server Liza I give a full 5 stars. Bill was over $100 for three drinks, dessert, and Rueben quesadilla (gluten free) and beef tacos. Felt a bit high in cost overall. Focus on the free chips. They were splendid. Environment is good, area that surrounds the restaurant is awesome, and they are COVID ready.
Very tasty Reuben quesadilla small plate. Squash with oat nut was just a tad dry but very enjoyable. Our party felt comfortable with the restaurant’s effort for social distancing and mask wearing. Churros desert was excellent. Will dine there again, they had outside heaters!
We sat outside and because of the distance to the kitchen, service was a tad slow. Otherwise, we had a very enjoyable experience. The tables outside were socially distanced.
This place was nothing like I thought it would be. I assumed that it would be a bit more high-end--perhaps because it is across the street from Citron.
The menu is...weird. Either go all-in on fusion and interesting flavor combos, or stick with Tex Mex. This was a mish mash.
The food isn't great. But the portions are large--although they give you 5 itty bitty street-taco sized tortillas for the fajitas and the tacos are impossible to eat like a normal taco because they are the itty bitty tortillas and there is about 3 times the filling on them than necessary.
Maybe the place is much better in non-COVID times.
Can always count on great service, great food, a great experience!
the food was incrredible! the only thing bad was that it took a while for the waitress to come over
Delicious food as always!
We love the food. Service was great. Outside dinning was perfect!
Went there for a late lunch and as usual the food is consistent. Never a bad meal.
Never disappoints! If you want interesting food, casual atmosphere, great service, eat here.
This is the third time I ate here in three weeks! Really great food. Loved the service. And the Key Lime Pie is the BEST I have ever had!
Excellent, fresh food, good service, and an active upbeat vibe make this a great choice.
Great service- very eager and willing to please. Always a step ahead!
Great COVID precautions in place (no paper menus, sanitizer, spacing between tables, etc.) and food and drinks were great as usual!
The food was amazing as always and the server was very attentive. 10/10 would return!!
Food is exceptional. Hidden neighborhood gem. Food was delicious on a perfect night on the patio.
A friend and I went to La Food Marketa on Labor Day afternoon.
I ordered the lightly fried trout and seasoned fries. The trout was perfectly cooked and the fries were well seasoned.
The second order was the Pork Taco. The presentation was good but for a Mexican dish, it was bland all the way through.
We won't be returning again.
Food was outstanding!
Great experience. Our server was really good(Ben?). Only issue was the bees. I would guess that you have a hive near.
The food and service were very good, and we liked the precautions they took in light of the pandemic. We were seated outside, with a good ten feet at least between tables. There was hand sanitizer on every table, and the wait staff wore masks. You could scan a little placard with your phone to see an online menu, so that was completely non-touch as well as eco friendly. There were sunny tables as well as plenty of shady spots. Their grilled cheese on challah was decadent (thick slabs of toasted, buttery bread with generous amounts of melty cheese), and their blueberry cobbler was scrumptious. Go and enjoy while the weather is nice.
Frajhita had little taste and an unexpected sweetness. Friend's chicken was too spicy to eat.
We sat at a table outside under cover, which worked out well since it started to rain. Waiter was very attentive without being clingy. I ordered the mushroom "carnitas" which was very good.
I never write reviews, but our server did not have their mask on properly (their nose was fully exposed) the entire time they served my partner and I.
We had a great time at La Food Marketa. The food is very good and the margaritas
are wonderful. Outdoor dining is done well and feels safe.
This was our first meal out since the start of the pandemic and we were so impressed. The food was fantastic, as always. The restaurant has a good set-up for social distancing, facilitating looking at the menu online, hand sanitizer at the table - we felt very comfortable, and the staff did an excellent job!
Food was wonderful!
Service was horrible. Took 20 minutes for server to take drink order. Appetizers came before drinks. Server apologized. Said he was really busy. What, we don’t matter? Was very expensive for 2 drinks, salad, dinner salad and entree.
Won’t go back.
A quick date night that was early. We are outside. Very pleasant. I got the crunch hamberguesa- the regular hamberguesa is much better.
always an amazing meal! some of the seasonal dishes are outstanding and I can't wait to go back for more.
It was a perfect evening. Great food, service and outside patio.
Always a consistently great experience!
