I was dying for the cheese soufflé's- only served weekday lunches
It was nice to have it again!
Love the food and ambiance. I shall return!
Super great French eatery
We are used to the perfunctory greeting when neither Daoud nor Hassan are there, but the food preparation is in decline. Rare is rarely rare, the magret de canard a huge disappointment and I swear the hamburgers have shrunken. We loved La Goulye, but will think twice before returning.
It was Easter Sunday dinner. We had an early reservation. We were seated in a terrible place: in front of the coffee maker . We had to listen to the constant clanging and banging of dishes. It took them two hours to serve us two dishes: Cobb lobster salad and a soufliee.
The service was poor.
We will not return.
The outdoor dining experience was comfortable and we’ll done. Expert service and delicious food.
Went for the Easter Price Fixe lunch at 2pm. They were sold out of a few of the appetizers, which shouldn’t happen so early in the afternoon and especially when the menu is very limited. The service was also mediocre. I understand it was busier than usual, the our waiter had a bad attitude and it was difficult to get his attention to ask for anything. Still love the restaurant and will be back, just not for any type of Price Fixe menu.
Has Easter brunch—very well excited,. For irs quality, good pricing!
Lovely old school French place. We had Easter brunch and everything was delicious. Dark wood and 1890 vibe to the decor. Responsive service. We shall return!
Delicious food, impeccable and friendly service, great cocktails, wine list pricey but that is unfortunately a given in NYC. Fantastic dinner, we can’t wait to return
Food and service were excellent! The steak tartare was absolutely delicious! It might be the best steak tartare I’ve ever had! We also very much enjoyed the tuna tartare, the octopus appetizer and the lobster salad. We finished with the soufflé for dessert - highly recommend! Wonderful experience!
I love la G
The fact that they keep the traditional dishes on the menu is a plus.
Love their salads, la terrine de foie, the souffle ...
Awesome foods! Beautiful restaurant!.
Excellent food but NY construction traffic.
Amazing! Wish I could eat there every night! Loved every minute and every bite!
I went for lunch outside... I hadn’t been to La Goulue in a long time but it stood up to my memory! Totally yummy!
When we wish to go to Paris, but want to skip customs, packing and the airfare- we head to La Goulue . . .
And we are instantly there, in culinary heaven . . .
Wonderful as always and a special thank you to Victor for seating me at my favorite table!
An old NY experience.. with delicious food, and good energy.
Just make sure you ask the right questions.. i ordered a second glass of wine, and switched from sauvignon to burgundy. i remembered from the menu that most glasses of wine ranged between $16 - $20. I neglected to ask the server the price of my second glass, and ended up with a $28 glass of wine on my bill.
Server should have informed me of my choices - not decided for me - as there were several burgundies on the menu - That would have been excellent service.
Lovely service! Food was amazing. A couple portions small, others large - just ask! BUT quality impeccable. Inside is beautiful, but we did eat outside. Was perfect weather and the outside seating was just divine. Can’t recommend enough!
Outdoor dining lovely- four top tables best suited for social distancing but service and food superb.
Steak tough and tasteless. Green bean salad lacked any vigor. Strange salmon concoction. Oysters good and Margaux was fine.
As always, loved every moment of it. My fave in NYC.
Outside. Warm. Comfortable. Great dinner !
Great food and wine. Wonderful service
Great to eat wonderful food with top notch service indoors
Perfection, as always. And with Springtime weather the outdor experience is so much more enjoyable and safe.
One of my favorite French restaurants in NYC. Can highly recommend
Delicious, impeccable service and safe environment!
un restaurante frances clasico, cenamos muy bien,la comida de mucha calidad y todo muy rico.
muy buen servicio.
The food was wonderful! We had the tuna tartare, French onion soup, octopus, and chicken. If you want the soufflé, order it when you sit down. It was unfortunately sold out by the time we got there. You know it’s good when Martha Stewart is eating there... she was eating here at the same time as us!
waiter was terrible completely unprofessional
Excellent dinner at this lovely French bistro. Everyone was very welcoming. Large indoor and outdoor space - with tables well-spaced and other COVID precautions observed. Our meals were excellent with attentive service throughout.
Great service, food and ambiance
Remarkable. Haven’t been in years. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are wonderful.
Even though I understand it’s still pandemic times, there is no excuse for the bland food and the utterly abhorrent service I’ve experienced here recently. Stay away.
On a relative basis it was very very good. By relative i mean that restaurants can have limited capacity.
The food is simply amazing and the service is impeccable! Love this place
Excellent as always
Amazing food and service!
