Dining at L’Artusi was such a great experience. The food was delicious! The spaghetti dish was our favorite, however everything was great. The service was impeccable. The staff was so friendly and did not make us feel rushed at all. They paid attention to little details and they made note of my request to sit downstairs in the main dining area. They also gave us a complimentary dessert for my sister’s birthday. Loved the whole experience!
I had a great experience at L’Artusi! I enjoyed everything so much, the mushroom with the sunny side up egg I could easily eat for breakfast lunch and dinner. We also got the pasta with the sausage and salami, i think the pasta could’ve been softer (but that could be a personal preference also). The waitress was so sweet to give us a dessert on the house for our anniversary! As we were leaving we booked a future reservation to bring my mom back!!! Looking forward to it!
I was very excited to try but service and food didn’t live up to all the great reviews. The food had absolutely no seasoning. Disappointed is an understatement, will not return.
Great restaurant- a bit noisy if you are seated opposite the bar. Wonderful attentive service.
Romantic place with incredible food, wine and service.
Great food, wonderful service. It was noisy as hell but not due to obnoxious patrons; just a vibrant atmosphere and active bar crowd. Would absolutely go back.
A really wonderful dinner, with great service and a vibe that makes one feel so welcome. The butter lettuce salad continues to impress, and the mushroom pasta dish was excellent. The steak and roasted potatoes continues to be one of those dishes that you feel should be on every menu that serves red meat. All in all, a superb evening.
Was very underwhelmed with the food. Heard such great things but our mains were so bland and flavorless
Best Best Food!!
Absolutely lovely other than the proximity between tables; noise level very high for an intimate setting.
Food was fantastic and our waitress Heather was so great. It was my boyfriends birthday and Heather made the evening very special.
Great service, amazing food. Can’t go wrong.
We had 8 different dishes and each one was delicious and unique. Had a couple of the special tonight which were new to us and excellent. .Another wow meal. Arrived a little early and was able to be seated. The ambiance is warm and inviting,
Incredible food, and wonderful servers. Everything tasted amazing. Highly recommend.
Fantastic all around experience. Great service, great cocktails, fantastic food.
LArtusi never dissapoints. Food and service are consistently good! I'm glad I was able to find a last minute spot for my birthday dinner!
This is one of the very best restaurants in NYC, and is consistently excellent year on year. The vibe is great, its pumping with energy but not too loud to talk, the service is always excellent, but sometimes a bit rushed (you can ask your server to slow things up a bit).
Not to be missed is the beef carpaccio or the often-available wagyu carpaccio; the housemade riccotta dip if its available; the roasted mushrooms - if you do not order these then you are doing it all wrong!; all the pastas but esp. the orecchiette. The meats and seafood are great, but frankly, the move here is plenty of apps and then a few pastas. Leave room for the olive oil cake, which is transplendent!
Its worth the hassle to get in, but if you're willing to eat a bit later, its not nearly as hard to snag a table.
This may well be your new fave place if you have never come...
I was underwhelmed, and I’ve eaten at places like Carbone, Bar Pitti etc. The food was good but no better then others competing at the same level. I guess for me it was the waiter, don’t rush me into deciding I came for a late dinner after the theater it’s not like you need the table. Wouldn’t be my first Italian recommendation.
Nick our waiter was absolutely fantastic and made our experience here. Thank you for being so kind, knowledgeable and attentive. When we are in New York again, we'll definitely be booking to come back! :)
Dined at L’Artusi following a recommendation from a friend and can honestly say, the food was some of the best I have ever tasted. Personally, I found the ambiance of the restaurant amazing and the service impeccable.. only reason for marking down a point is due to my partner feeling cold, however I didn’t notice this myself and was easily rectified by getting her coat from the cloakroom.
For the quality of the food and drinks, prices are very reasonable.
We were just gutted we couldn’t squeeze in another visit during our trip!
The atmosphere is wonderful! It’s so romantic and the music is fantastic. The cheese we started with was delicious and the lamb ravioli was divine!! My husband had the orchette and loved it! Over all I was pleased with our experience.
Excellent food as always!
Best. Every dish was so good
Incredible all the way around.
The restaurant itself was great and had a fab atmosphere. However the food was really disappointing. I ordered fish and it sounded great on the menu, but when it arrived it was just a piece of fish on a plate with lots of olives. The server did not recommend I order a side or anything. My dessert also sounded amazing on the menu but when it arrived it was just pieces of dry toast with apple on top. I would not recommend this restaurant or return there are so many other places and options to go to.
Our family always loves dinners at L’artusi! We have a tough diverse group and everyone always walks away happy.
Best dishes as always! Been coming here for years. Service and food excellence!
In NYC for a quick vacation and was planning on Del’Anima but they are shutting down so booked L’artusi and was only able to get a 10 PM( fine since it’s 7PM in SF.)
1. The place has a happening sexy vibe. Was packed and alive when we got there.
2. The hosts were friendly welcoming and efficient.
3. Our server Heather was excellent.
4. Food and drink is where they fell down:
Thought the Manhattan’s were a bit over Vermouthed.
The wine list was fine. Had a nice Fiano. My mistake on the Red.
Now the food was really disappointingly mediocre.
The only really excellent dish was the olive oil cake.
The pasta’s were all overcooked and that is really a no no in this restaurant. The Octopus was a poorly balanced dish and the Branzino so so. Decent Salad of
Chicories but overall the food gets a C.
5. Summary. The sexy happening vibe here may keep drawing people in, but the food won’t be bringing ‘em back. I don’t know if part of the problem was that the kitchen had had it by 11 PM, and I fully understand the challenges of the restaurant business these days, but when we’re paying this much, it’s got to be better
Cheers to Heather, the bright spot of the meal.
Outstanding food and service.
Server was uninterested in our table. But the hostesses were awesome.
No wonder you have to reserve this place way in advance. The food was delicious, fresh, creative! The service was excellent! The ambiance was very chill and laid back! Already reserved for our next dinner :)
Everything top notch; Great food, terrific staff and good value
one of the best meals we had in NYC. fantastic food and reasonably priced! would come again and again!
The service ,drinks and the food was beyond excellent!
Trip to new york
Absolutely amazing. Best meal we had in NYC. Every single bite was beyond our expectations. Cannot wait to go back!
Good food, amazing wine list but very noisy and crowded
It was my boyfriend’s birthday, and I made reservations so early in advance. It was quite disappointing when we got there that we got probably the worst table in the whole restaurant. We were directly in the middle of the service station where bus boys were fooling around, being passed by with trash bins, brooms, and broken glass. We were excited to come here, and I felt that the experience was effected the moment we sat down. The food was impeccable as always.... I guess I should have requested another table, so in the end it was probably my fault. I really think the two tables in the service area should be removed all together, I can’t imagine anyone being able to have the best experience possible in that location.
Service was wonderful and food was amazing! Recommended by a friend who lives and NYC and did not disappoint! Be sure to try the Texas Mimosa and Banana French Toast. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We will be back next trip!
Unbelievable restaurant!!! Honestly, might be my favorite in NYC.
