Pork chops. Garlic pasta. Olive oil cake
Definitely overhyped place for no reasons!
One of the pasta we ordered was extremely salty.
I complained about it and the waiter just says it may be the inside of the tortellini itself that’s salty. So what??
Anyway, they took it back to the kitchen and some one that looks like a kitchen manager came back to us saying “the chef tasted it and it’s terrible, we’ll make a new one”. The newly cooked pasta, not any less salty, not edible again!
The waiter says this time “maybe it’s the Morel that has been preserved salty”. Hello?! I don’t need my waiter to just keep giving me excuses for their terribly salty food. The waiter or the manager never said they are sorry about the food that even the chef said “terrible”.
The salad was good but the rest of the food also very mediocre that’s no reason for a month in advance reservation kind of a hassle!
The mushroom ragu was out of this world
Our service Will was fantastic ! And the food was incredible as always!
Getting a reservation here takes some effort but is 100% worth it! The food is incredible. We had the wagyu beef appetizer, two pasta dishes (mushroom and bolognese) and the squid. All were delicious and would highly recommend. I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.
Consistently wonderful. Actually went with our 1 year old and they couldn’t be more accommodating. Food always top notch as well as drinks. Was lucky to snag a last min reservation for 3. A must try if you haven’t, and one you’d likely happily go back to.
My first time and everything was delicious. The service was warm and attentive. The vibe is relaxed.
Main course was served about 10 seconds after we finished the starters. Drinks tiny & overpriced.
What an amazing dinner i had with my boyfriend. The food was amazing. The entire was just great. i would come back here again.
Amazing value, great service, can be busy and definitely hard to get a rez
I had a reservation, so I didn’t expect to wait for a table. Even with my reservation, I had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. I think that defeats the point of making a reservation. My friend and I were upset that we had planned our night around this dinner and then still had to wait. The food was amazing, I jus wish the service was better.
Excellent food and wine! Reservation recommended as the line was quite long for this very popular restaurant.
Exceptional. Food, service and ambiance were all stand-outs, as well as the extensive wine list. I've rarely been to a restaurant where waitstaff and the kitchen have cared so much about their guests.
Our server was excellent and knowledgeable about both the food and the wine. One of our favorites
The overall experience was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious, from the cheese to pasta. I’d love to try some entree and dessert next time! It’s an ideal place for a date or every day dining, and I just wish the reservation can be easier to take!
Thank you for another incredible dinner! Perfect place to bring my mom who was visiting.
Great pasta, wine and a lot of fun! Will definitely be back.
Fantastic meal - get the ricotta to start and the spaghetti
The food is excelent. Good options in the wine list. Me and my wife tried the pork chopa and the gnocchi with rabbit ragu. Flawless!
The appetizers and chefs amuse were the best food. Our entrees weren’t great. When we arrived for our reservation they did not have a table for us so they sat us at the bar instead which was disappointing at first but the bartender was great and made it a good experience.
Scallops and mushroom scrumptious
The ambiance was cold. The staff seemed uninterested in working there. The service was like in a caffeteria. We were rushed thru our dinner by people removing our plates too quickly. The place seemed empty but could not get a table!
Food was absolutely amazing!
Extremely delicious food at a great price point. Will definitely come back.
The restaurant was full and was WAY loud, not only due to a large table of bro’s next door, but they weren’t using inside voices. We had excellent service; creative cocktails and mostly outstanding food - one pasta dish, orecchiette with sausage, was disappointingly ordinary.
Food was delicious, service very good and cocktails amazing!
Every time I thought to look for a reservation here, the only times were 10pm and that is too late for me! When I finally saw an earlier slot, I jumped on it. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was an amazing meal! We ordered the mushrooms (recommended by everyone we asked), gnocchi, trofie, and octopus - and we had the option of the octopus coming out as an app (which we selected) or as 3rd course. The chilies were definitely noticed but not overpowering. The gnocchi was perfectly done and the rabbit ragu with it was so hearty. We had the olive oil cake for dessert and a complementary honey lavender ice cream with pignoli cookie as a birthday surprise! If we weren’t so stuffed, we would have ordered another cake. With the meal we had a delightful nebbiolo and the server was very knowledgeable when making the recommendation. We will be back, and I don’t care what time it is!
Everything was delicious! Pastas were incredible but the pork chop was life changing!
Hands down one of the top 3 restaurants in Manhattan. Delicious food, great service, food vibes. Always get at least 2 pastas (if not more)!
Ok. I know everyone LOVES this place. It’s meh. The drama of having to stay up until midnight to book is not justified. It’s good but it’s not mind blowing good. I think Lupa far surpasses and we don’t feel the pressure of “move it so we can turn your table”. Prices are reasonable but it’s too competitive in the City.
Our favorite as always - great to have a new waiter, Will, and look forward to coming back!
Lovely, cozy, chic spot serving delicious food and with a remarkably good wine list. It’s been discovered by more corporate types (was inevitable) and can be a scene on weekends and later at night, but that small aggravation couldn’t keep me away.
Food was amazing ... fresh and full of flavor
Olive oil cake is a must try !!
Food and Service are the best . No wonder it’s so highly rated by Zagat .. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR ORDER THE SPAGHETTI!!!
After waiting 2.5 months to get a reservations it was WORTH THE WAIT. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. I can't wait until my next visit!
Anniversary- they gave us complimentary sparkling champagne
Excellent from start to finish
We sat upstairs where it was really cute but not too loud. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations. The special of homemade ricotta was amazing! And the pasta was even better, will definitely be back!
Reliably excellent - service, food, and ambiance are all always top notch.
We celebrate our anniversary here every year, my wife’s #1 restaurant in NYC. Never disappoints.
