Service is fast and accurate. They have a 90 min seating limit, so they don't fool around here. Food is tasty, hot and nicely presented. Not huge portions, so order an appetizer or two and don't look back. Desserts highly recommended as well. Ambiance is fun and inviting. Venue is right on the Cooper River Park, so outside dining is excellent when the weather allows.

We have not dined at La Scala's Birra since before the covid shut down and had forgotten how much we liked it. For the price and ambiance, the meals are excellent and very delicious. The sangria is nice but it isn't really a traditional sangria with fruit in it so if that's what you like maybe choose a different cocktail. Servings were a good amount resulting in doggie boxes to take home. Loves the caprese app and arancini. Service was good. We didn't stay there for more than an hour but were told upon being seated that we only have 90 minutes. I know they need to turnover to make money but it's a little tacky to make that disclaimer. But I've noticed a lot of restaurants are like that now. Aside from that I'm looking forward to going back.

Hopefully you’ll get a waitress that is okay waiting on people Of color. While not one single person in the venue was of color I didn’t feel like it was a problem until our server (yes a person in the service industry in Pensauken NJ) got to the table. She was cold, uninterested and made the entire experience horrible. Food was great, drinks too. Hopefully she was a fluke but I won’t be returning.

We stopped late afternoon, the restaurant was crowded. The hostess was pleasant and offered us a variety of seating choices. We chose to go outside. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We ordered mussels, caprice salad and fried artichokes. All were delicious, My husband enjoyed the mussels. We ordered a pizza that we brought home as we were full from the apps. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the scenery. We have always enjoyed our meals here!

We frequently go to LaScalas Birra for pizza, salad and appetizers. We took another couple out to dinner and wanted to bring them here. The bad first - The last time we were here a few weeks ago, my husband had the ahi spicy tuna salad. He raved about it. So we returned to get the same dish - my friend also loves ahi tuna. They both got the spicy ahi tuna salad and it was very fishy. My friend ended up not feeling well the rest of the night into the morning. I had the lasagna- it was just OK - loaded with so much mozzarella cheese I could barely taste the lasagna. It was like eating just melted mozzarella. The calamari appetizer was just ok - sauces with it were good, but the calamari was chewy, not tender like it usually is. The good - The tomato sauce on the lasagna was very good. We had the octopus salad and clam appetizers - both were delicious. My son had the seafood pasta dish with a scampi sauce instead of the fra- Diablo sauce - very accommodating to change the sauce for him. He liked it a lot. My other friend had the chicken Remo and really liked it. Our server Nadia was exceptional- very sweet and always checking on our table, as were the servers that brought out the food. Desserts were very good - chocolate cake and tiramisu. So maybe it was just a bad night for the ahi tuna salad.

Food was very good and hearing how large the portions are, we opted for salads and appetizers; both of which made more than a full meal. The Lemoncella Cake was so light and delicious. The service was excellent as was the food.
