Latitude 38 Annapolis
Now Open for Lunch, Dinner & Sunday Brunch.
Kitchen staff came out after placing the table order. They served our table and explained to me that they could not cook my food separately. I am allergic to shellfish. I had to wait over 40 mins for my food to come and when it did it was the wrong order . Therefore I had to wait another 5 mins for it to be corrected . I asked for ketchup and waited another 10mins as my door cooled .
We had a very good time. The service was very good and we had a good server. We never felt rushed. All of our food was very good and good portions.
The only complaint we have is that we were seated next to the back steps and a party of 8 with a stroller and a baby carrier came in and sat next to us. That was not the problem, the problem was that we were so squished into our table that my husband could not get out and the person next to us got annoyed because he had to get up twice to let him out.
Very limited menu. Was expecting more choices and seafood.
You can’t advertise a full menu, allow someone to make a reservation on a holiday weekend, and then when the customer sits down at 12:30, tell him/her that you are only serving a brunch menu with a limited number of items in it until 2 p.m.
Bad for business, but we found another place near the water that was serving lunch, and we did not need a reservation.
Total disappointment on Father’s Day.
It was nice for us. We had a great time overall
We had a great time at 38. We sat by the window for quite a while - eating and drinking and laughing. The staff were attentive- but also gave us space to just sit and relax. The food was very good - but not amazing. Parking always tough around there. We’d definitely go back.
Close to water, good food and service. A little pricey but good value for downtown.
Didn’t care much for the crab cake, the fries were dry and dark, the side salad was not worth the up charge of 6 dollars, the burger was really good
I was really disappointed with this restaurant. We walked 30 minutes to get to this restaurant just to be greeted by the hostess to say they were under an hour and half wait for the food to come out, bringing them to their closing time, so they couldn’t sit us. I can accept that being the case, but at a minimum, give me a call (since we made the reservation on OpenTable) prior to arriving. Also, there were no attempts to redeem themselves. Overall disappointed how they behaved, thankfully there are a number of places to eat in the surrounding area with greater customer service.
We made a reservation for dinner, and ending up getting there 30 minutes early, so we sat at the downstairs bar to grab a drink and wait. The hostess said she would make a note and let us know when our table was ready. 5 minutes after our reservation time, we hear the downstairs manager tell the hostess that “if the 6:15 doesn’t show up in 4 minutes, seat the next party.” Thankfully we heard her, because she was talking about our party, the staff had forgotten about us. Once sat upstairs, we had the waiter, Shawn, and he was absolutely great! Quite attentive and engaging. The food was pretty good, a little pricy for what you get compared to other restaurants in the area. Nice view of the water. Would probably go again! Only complaint was the downstairs manager was giving her staff orders, in a rude way that probably shouldn’t have been done in front of paying customers, unprofessional. Maybe she was having a bad day.
The food was superb and they were whipping down all the food containers constantly because of COVID-19. Excellent job.
Everything was great, so much to choose from. The lobster mac and cheese delicious the bourbon meatloaf my wife tried it. And oh BtW mimosa, bloody mary etc... Bottomless
Thank you for the wonderful observations. We appreciate you.
Nice setting with a view toward the water. Table by the window was especially nice. The food was good and good portions. The crab dip was very good with chunks of crab. Wine prices were reasonable. Service was friendly and helpful. You could go there very dressed up or more casual and either would be fine.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a well thought review. We appreciate your business.
We visited during restaurant week so got a 3 course dinner for $35 each. Food was good and service was excellent. We were seated on the deck with the doors closed but we plan to come back when the weather warms up and side on the deck with the doors open. Great view of Ego Alley
We hope to see you back! When our windows are open it takes on a whole new feel. So glad you enjoyed everything.
Amazing appetizers, delicious deserts, very nice cocktails and atmosphere.
Thank you very much!
Excellent customer service, food was fantastic, and the Restaurant Week menu, which my date and I ordered from, was not scrimpy at all (which sometimes happens). Will most certainly visit here again.
I am so glad you enjoyed your visit and your meal Lindsay! Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review.
The food was excellent. We were there for restaurant week. Service was alittle slow but not terrible.
Thank you for your feedback. We realize the problem and are addressing it. We appreciate your business.
My meal (three cheese and crab dip, prime rib and key lime pie) was excellent. Service was very attentive.
Thank you so much Michael! That key lime pie is amazing!
Considering this was only their 3rd week providing brunch, food, entertainment was excellent. Need to work on service. Thought too it was a tad pricey. $80.00 with no alcohol was in my opinion, steep.
Thank you for the feedback, we will continue to improve upon our new brunch.
This was one of my worst dining experiences ever. It was the 1st day of restaurant week and they were overwhelmed and under staffed. We got our wine and appetizers (which were quite tasty) and then never saw our waiter (or anyone else) for an hour! We sat with dirty plates and empty water glasses. The entrees looked delicious, but we never got any. We finally waved down a manager to ask where our entrees were. She said she would check, but 10 minutes later, still nothing. After we had been there an hour and a half, we were finally able to flag down our waiter. He said that somehow our order was never placed. No apologies and never said if we would actually get our meals! We asked if we could just leave and he said yes. We spoke with the same manager on the way out, she apologized and offered us a gift card, which we declined. We don't ever want to go back!
First time for lunch. Restaurant week. Cream of crab soup was excellent. Fish tacos were also good; hubby had a burger. It was all very good. The waterfront view was fantastic - only wished it was a warmer day. Only problem was the table next to us did not have their phone on mute and every 5 seconds was 'ding' another text coming through. Would like to come back on a warmer day with the windows open enjoying the water view and a cocktail!
I apologize for the atmosphere and am glad you enjoyed your meal overall. I hope to see you in again soon.
Brunch buffet had a large selection but food was cold or lacked flavor and was not turned over.
The food was quite good but the service was inconsistent. Our server was pleasant enough but sometimes she would disappear for long stretches and we’d have to wait for another drink etc. our table was situated near the exit so the lighting was bright and a bit annoying. It was not enough to change seats, but it was noticeable. At the end of the day, I thought the food was good and the menu interesting. I’ll give it another try at some point.
This is excellent information that will be passed along. Please give us another try. Thank you so much for leaving your feedback.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit to Latitude 38! The staff was attentive without being overbearing, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and being on the waterfront was the icing on the cake! We are looking forward to our next visit!
We are looking forwards to serving you again soon! Thank you!
Great spot in downtown Annapolis! Easy parking and access! Food and service were fabulous!
Thank you for the great remarks, we hope to see you soon.
I decided to take my wife out for my birthday. While the food was good, it was cold not hot. In additional our beverage Orange juice was an additional charge on top of the Sunday Bruch price. There was Very little desserts. The room was very hot because of the overhead heater.
I really appreciate your feedback. I agree the dessert selection was lacking and we are addressing this right away. Thank you for visiting and I hope we can get it right for you next time.
Great value and portion sizes. Gluten free options. Great raspberry mousse! They validate parking. Friendly staff and manager. They offer a wine club for a decent price that offers monthly wine specials and discounts on food. Nice view of the water. The porch has lots of windows, and can be a little cold in the winter. They have red (in color, like a good warmer haha) heaters to help with that, but it kills the ambiance a bit. Overall a good find. I would return.
Thank you for the wonderful review and I am glad you had a great time.
Great experience!! We booked a reservation for Valentine’s Day and still expected to wait a little bit. We were seated immediately and the server took drink orders in a timely manner! We did not have to wait for anything! Steak was cooked perfect!! Will highly recommend!
Thank you Kerri we are so glad that you enjoyed your visit. Appreciate you!
Excellent attentive and patient service. From the three cheese crab dip, to the oysters Rockefeller, to the cream of crab soup, to the mushroom ravioli, and bourbon meatloaf were all superb with excellent flavor. Superb quality. We'll definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.
Thank you for this review and those are all great dishes. Can't wait to see you again!
Ambiance gave a feeling the restaurant was going to close soon. Not inviting, warm, or engaging. Food was well prepared, though a limited menu.
Thank you for leaving this feedback. I will be sure to review our ambiance for future visits.
Birthday for a friend
Thank you for the great review! Happy birthday to your friend!
New Year’s Day brunch. They were not prepared for diners and we had to wait often for items before they were refilled on buffet. Our server was awesome. Live music was nice but a little loud making it difficult to carry on conversations.
Thank you Foodie6856 for the feedback! Much appreciated!
Great crab soup and fish and chips. Joe our, waitstaff was very nice and sure it was a good experience.
Thank you MaryPat!
First time here, great experience! Food was good and service was great. Good place also for kids if you are looking for a place downtown to take kids. They wine club is an amazing deal!
Thank you Kelsey! We appreciate I appreciate the wonderful review.
Average all around and a bit pricy for what we got
I am sorry to see that we did not meet your expectations. Maybe out new menu that started today has offerings you would enjoy. Our site will be updated shortly with the new items. Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. Much appreciated!
Tourist trap-don’t go if you are looking a decent meal and a nice glass of wine. Lots of fried food, nothing regional - just an opportunistic local restaurant group picking up a vacant space. Waste of money.
Hi Anonymous, I can assure you that we are here for all people, locals as well as tourism. We have garnered a fantastic local following with our wine club. Perhaps you would be interested in joining? Thank you for visiting us on Christmas Eve.
Service was great, food was average at best. Had the salmon and it was a really small serving and while
Ok, not anywhere near hat I had hoped for.
Thank you for joining us on Christmas Eve. I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. We value your feedback and want to improve everyday!
“Crab cake has NO crab and they billed it as Jumbo Lump and charged 25 dollars for the sandwich! Filled with nasty bread filler and maybe claw meat. Inedible! And French fires were old French fries they retried! Burger ordered medium overcooked. Very disappointed because the setting is lovely. Lived in Annapolis all my life so I know how a MD crab cake should be made and we thought we’d get one at the iconic site of Harbor House on the dock in Annapolis.
Wow I am surprised to hear this. I will look into these concerns on my end here at the restaurant. Thank you for joining us on Christmas Eve.
The restaurant was empty except 3 other tables. There was a steel drum playing which was very loud and made it hard to hear each other. It was quite chilly at the table - bad draft from the windows which is a shame given the you want to see the view. The food was ok, nothing overwhelming. Quite disappointed that I got one great martini and then had to send the next one back 3 times and finally gave up - tasted like watered down olive juice. Desert was the highlight - great key lime pie. A little annoyed at the multiple push to join their club for $20 a month - one time saying no thank you it should’ve been dropped.
Hi Vicki and thank you for being a loyal customer. I would have hoped for a better experience and am sorry to read about your drink mishap. I can assure you that we can do better and have spoken with your server about the multiple club 38 mentions. Thanks for dining and I hope to see you again soon.
It would be helpful knowing ahead if main dining room is closed due to private party. We did not care for where we sat on lower level.
We will do better at informing our guests of these events causing us to shuffle things around. On your particular visit that was a rare occasion of both main dining areas being reserved. Thank you for the review!
