What Insiders Are Saying
For your next special occasion/fancy night out dinner in SoHo, consider the French fine dining at Le Coucou.
I had written a note to the restaurant in my reservation that I wanted to propose to the love of my life during our diner. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary. I had asked them a private and cute table for us to be sitting together. The went over and above to make this the most wonderful night of our life. We will remember this night for ever and they played a part in it. Amazing service, food and ambiance. They even offered us as a congratulations for our engagement a glass of champagne and desert. Thanks to the whole team at Le Coucou!
Absolutely gorgeous restaurant - incredible decor and ambience. Delicious and unique cuisine. Only drawback was the rather slow service (had to ask for check a few times). It was a business lunch and we all had to get back to work. Otherwise- wonderful.
Always amazing and incredible service!!
What an outstanding meal. We had 5 menu items; everything was prepared originally and delicously. The service was perfect.
MD tried to hurry us out after 90mn
The food was a let down.
By far among the best French currently in town. Refined classics served in a very pleasant room. Third visit, looking forward to returning in May.
Excellent eating experience..Everything was beautifully perfectly cooked and presented. The service was very professional and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Great service and amazing food
Beautiful restaurant and excellent food and service
It was spectacular
Everything was excellent. I'll be back soon!
One of favorite restaurants that clicks every box. Pricey but never disappointed and worth every penney.
Wonderful Fantastic Amazing.
It was my second time there and it did not disappoint. The service is on point, the food is outstanding, and the room quiet and wonderful.
Venue, atmosphere and service are great! Food is just average and extremely pricey for what it is.
I found the food a bit fussy. The ambiance is great.
Food was delicious. Service was awesome. Would definitely go back
Outstanding food and wine offerings. Impeccable service. One of the finest dining experience we have had in our trips to NYC.
Will,be a must in future visits.
Lobster salad was very underwhelming, service & ambience were fantastic!
Tip: don't order specials just because they have them on the menu! Get the popular dishes instead
Amazing 🎉 thank you 🙏
It was truly great
Hands down the worst service I have had at any NYC restaurant, especially one that is this expensive.
The food was delicious as always. However, I would not suggest anyone dine with you with so many options nearby.
Best meal of our trip
Restaurant was fantastic from beginning to end. Incredible staff, food and room. A perfect experience.
Le Cou Cou know how to roll out the red carpet. My son, his fiancée and I were lucky to get a last-minute lunch reservation. We were celebrating his upcoming birthday. Afterward my son told me that it had been one of the most fun times he’d had since he moved to the city a year ago. Superb food, service and vibe. Mmmmm.
The place is outstanding. The only thing that was disappointing was that they discriminated us from other customers in order to assign a table due to we were “open table”. We had to claim for a better table and they didn’t recognize our reservation petition.
We have a lovely time! It was beautiful and delicious!
Everything about dining at le coucou is well thought out, measured, and phenomenal. The service is perfectly attentive without being intrusive. You need not worry about being rushed. The food is impeccable and classic. And the wine pairings are nothing but perfect.
I think Le Coucou is the most perfect restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining in. It is what brings me back to New York City.
It is worth going. It is different . It I e pe tés more sophisticated
Best Restaurant in NYC simply LOVE it
Superb French cuisine for a Soho/Tribeca crowd. Fine chef and wait staff. All around attractive room and table settings. Vast wine list. Marvelous place for an evening with friends.
Service was rough. I was a solo diner at lunch in a half-empty room, but it took 15min between ordering my half bottle of wine and receiving it. They brought me the wrong first course. They cleared my glass while my half bottle still had 1.5 glasses in it. Perplexing.
Beautiful restaurant and wonderful meal. The prime fillet was amazing. There was something missing in the chicken foie gras. Fantastic appetisers. Great service. Thank you
Always enjoy very much Le Coucou
Wonderful way to celebrate my birthday. Everyone from beginning to end was attentive. Over the years I have rarely found a bottle of wine not drinkable. As soon as I indicated that it was not ok, the wine sommelier offered another bottle. And it was excellent.
Definitely expensive, but worth it. A great place for a special occasion.
My favourite restaurant in NY, Daniel Rose is the best
I really can’t say enough positive things about our dinner at Le Coucou this past Saturday. Evwrything was absolutely perfect. This was by far one of the best meals we have ever had. Our waiter and sommelier were so knowledgeable, kind and accommodating, they made it a truly wonderful experience. We never felt rushed, despite having 5:00 reservations. I wish I knew their names, shame on me for not remembering them. They both made our anniversary dinner so special. And the food is literally perfect. Every dish, particularly the sole and sweatbreads that our waiter recommended, was beyond delicious and beautifully plated. We had been here for lunch last year, which was fabulous, but dinner here is an absolute dinning dream. We can’t wait to go back!
Awesome place overall. Food was the highlight of course but the drinks, service and ambience matched the food. A bit pricy but I guess it’s NY
