Fantastic and authentic Vietnamese food, generous portions and great selection on the menu without it being overwhelming.
Food was terrific, especially the Campfire Steak which I highly recommend. Not knowing that much about Vietnamese food I wasn’t sure what to expect but this was a happy surprise. Everything tasted fresh and yummy and the staff was friendly and quick. Will definitely go again!
Funky little spot with genuine Vietnamese cuisine.
So much went wrong with this meal it’s hard to know where to begin. I hate leaving bad reviews, I don’t want to hurt anyone’s business, but this was so terrible that I feel like I don’t have a choice.
- we booked via OpenTable several hours before. The restaurant very clearly does not check their OpenTable reservations and did not have a table for us at the reserved time. We waited 15 minutes for a table to open up.
- we requested water several times which was never brought.
- the beef Bao Bun was more like a badly made hamburger- it tasted like a McDonalds Happy Meal.
- the morning glory (vegetable stir fry) was not fresh, overcooked and tasteless. When we attempted to send it back the manager came back with the dish and told us bluntly and aggressively that because we aren’t Vietnamese we don’t know what the dish is supposed to taste like and that we are wrong. He then left the dish on the table and charged us for it.
The long story short: I’m not sure whether to be more offended by the rude service or the horrible food. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Had dinner here with friends. Food was lovely and l must say consistent so far on the many occasions that I’ve taken people here. The soups were tasty as usual and a good season to slurp a hot bowl of soup. My friends enjoyed the food.
My only negative point was, l had requested a table further inside the restaurant as the cold draft tend to affect front of the house tables. However they still gave us a table at the front by the window even though tables further inside were empty. So we felt the cold draft. No point putting in requests...
The food was good value for money. We chose appetisers and the main course. Fyi the Vietnamese coffee is a must try.
The food was great and service was good! They made sure that spiciness is adjusted as requested. It was just too cold in the restaurant >< We’ll be back again though!
Food was great, the restaurant was a little cold as the door kept being left open but great value.
Although we were half an hour late for our booking and the restaurant was extremely busy, we were seated after a 5 minute wait. The main waiter who served our table was attentive and explained our options well. There was always someone to help with our order, clear plates etc. The food was excellent with few exceptions. All in all it was a very nice birthday meal for my wife.
Always good, the food is superb, but the tables are quite tightly packed, and the service is perfunctory. Go to eat, not to dine.
Used open table to book a table for 1930. Turned away because i was told they are full and my reservation was for 2000. Upon showing the booking confirmation, i was told to wait "10 minutes" which ended up being half an hour.
Given the first table after speaking to 3 individuals. Food came quick, tasty and large portions.
Shame about the booking though, would have come back again
Compact, a little noisy, but a good selection of Vietnamese dishes. Tasting menu was good, with several starters and a main.
Took friends here for lunch. I waited 15 minutes to order a drink and eventually had to call someone over. I thought it was cheeky of them to put 1 tea bag into a pot of tea for 2 people and charge for 2 whilst l was given 1 tea bag into a small cup. I tried to ask for a top up of hot water, but gave up as l couldn’t get hold of anyone. I booked a table in advance and was given a table near the door which was rather cold whenever the door was opened even though there was a large glass sectioning in between.
We ordered pho and bun bo hue soup noodle. It was the perfect day for it being cold outside. Soup and mango salad was tasty as usual. It was a good lunch despite the poor level of service this time round.
Excellent Vietnamese food, light and elegant. Reasonably priced in a modest location in London Soho.
This restaurant is a buzzing eatery just on the edge of China town. Food was good, Service was good but a bit disorganised (We were asked by two people if we were ready to order after we had already ordered) but this didn't spoil our evening in any way. Seating is organised so that if there are only two diners, there is not much of a gap between tables, so be prepared to sit close to fellow diners. Definitely not a place for a romantic meal, but I would return.
The food was very good. We had a good family meeting and they had most of the things we wanted to try 😊
The noodle dishes were all quite greasy and very pak choi heavy.
Otherwise had to keep getting the waiters attention & felt a bit judged for asking for tap water.
It's our go to Vietnamese restaurant in the west end. Always great food (try the roast Duck), and usually friendly services, as long as it's not frenetically busy.
Amazing food, amazing service, great prices. Would definitely recommend.
The starters were great but the mains were really poor. Was unimpressed.
Great food! Food also came very quick! Service could be better from staff. Bathrooms are very clean which is an important thing
The best restaurant in all of London. I eat here twice a week when visiting.
Fabulous food - would certainly recommend a visit here!
Food and service was good. I like the menu which had a good selection of dishes, ones l don’t even get to eat at home. I usually order homemade lemonade and they did a good one. Also introduced a friend to Vietnamese food who also enjoyed it. Overall a good meal.
Let Hanoi was a bright spot in a tired Chinatown. Summer and spring rolls were highlights, as was the friendly service. I'd recommend it and return to try the pho.
Great food and service. The duck was amazing! Would go back in a flash - thank you
I'm a devotee but I took a Vietnamophile friend who couldn't stop raving about it, said it was his new favourite Vietnamese, handed their card out to a gentleman in the London Coliseum toilets who was asking which restaurant we were talking about!
Great service, food and hospitality
We booked many weeks in advance for our annual Chinese New Year celebration with friends. We sat at what looked like a good table - a booth style table for 6 people - but quickly realised that it was uncomfortably cold. It was a very cold winter evening and the door was constantly left ajar, allowing a constant stream of freezing air into the room and directly to our table. We asked if the heater above the door could be turned in but it never was. We ended up putting our coats on.
The biggest issue we had was the food delivery. We all ordered starters and mains. Arriving first were 2 mains. 5 minutes later we got all but 1 starter which arrived another 5 minutes later after chasing. Mains then started arriving haphazardly - with the initial mains being cold - and after chasing a main which had not arrived, we were informed that the 2 initial mains were delivered in error. The reason given for this was that they were very busy. Considering it’s a Saturday night in Chinatown, this is a poor justification. The 2 initial mains were replaced by new dishes but as drinks were also having to be chased, all good feeling had disappeared. A thoroughly disappointing evening.
We arrived earlier than expected and they accomodated us no problem. Resturant was basic, bit cold think they had an issue with heating system. Main thing food was really good. Impressed with our first taste of Vietnamese dining
Our guests were happy too.
Well seasoned and carefully prepared food. Service was casual, but prompt and friendly.
Just the place for a casual meal around a film or play. Great value for money
Good cheap food. Tofu summer rolls were run-of-the-mill but the octopus, duck and mango and prawn salad were all very good. Service is quick and to the point. It's small, reasonably cramped brisk. There's suprisingly little in the way of both good and inexpensive in the local area, and it's a very good spot if you need a quick sit down meal for two. I was surprised to see it packed on the first Friday in January, so booking is probably useful.
It was cold in the room. The food was good and we'll definitely return to the restaurant.
Excellent Vietnamese restaurant worth spending time and money with. Food was amazing, especially the Chat La Lot and the lemongrass chicken. Pho was not hugely impressive although tasty.
Good basic Vietnamese food. The background music is dire, but it’s not enough to stop you from enjoying treats like morning glory. Helpful staff. Will visit again.
Our favourite 'independent' Vietnamese restaurant. Within easy reach of theatreland and the West End. It's alway busy, so don't expect a quiet, or even spacious, table. But do expect good food, and if you are inclined, a nice themed cocktail too. Oh, and Vietnamese coffee, which is always good.
Had lunch with the fam, and enjoyed all the dishes, especially the pork bun sa, sea bass and duck. Quick and efficient service.
Very disappointing food compared to any other Vietnamese I have experienced in London. Even the pho was luke warm and lacking in flavour.
Excellent food, ‘cheap and cheerful’ gem! Cuisine is authentic, tasty and well portioned
