   This place is simply amazing! Service is top notch. The food and flavors are incredible. It has a nice casual/comfortable vibe and dressing up definitely isn’t required (my wife and I both wore jeans and a nice shirt). For appetizers we had the “River Chips”, which are fried chicken skins with a garlic ranch sauce and they were very tasty and nice and crispy. We also had the “Roll Up” is a light brioche with black garlic butter that is grilled. Nice and light and smoky and incredibly delicious. We only wished we ordered two so we had one to go with our meals. For main courses my wife had “Mo Beef for Us” which was a braised beef with great textural changes and an incredible sauce. She raved about it and would have loved that second brioche to soak up the incredible sauce. I had the “Duck Hunt” which was perfectly cooked duck breast with a foie and oyster stuffing and an amazing sauce that pulled everything together. For dessert we shared the “Arthur Lou” which is a tang custard (yes, like the kid drink” on an oat crust with a ginger meringue and fresh and dried fruit and a spice mixture on top. It was great to share but was a bit heavy. Overall we loved this place and we will return with friends. Our server was one of the best we’ve had in years and knew every detail of the menu. Service was prompt and very team oriented. They do add a 23% gratuity to ensure the entire staff has a living wage and benefits but honestly they earn this and more. We added another 18% that goes directly to our server because she was just that good!

   It felt awkward to hear when we sat down the time of the next reservation and how long we had our table. Tough way to start a meal we were excited to try.

We allow all of our guests the same amount of time to have a dining experience with us and don't want to compromise the experience after you.     This is my SWEET spot the perfect mix of soul, fine dining, and feel good atmosphere! The food is amazing, the service is phenomenal and atmosphere is electric! Let me start with the staff from the hostess to the bar they know their stuff and they must have trained the Chick-Fil-A staff they are so good! Lol! The food... the mussels are always a go to but I opted for the muddy river and it was absolutely delicious and of course i took home a Roll Up (cornmeal brioche, black garlic butter). Thanks for another wonderful dining experience!

    Leah and Louise is the spot my husband and I go to whenever we can. It's not too far from Blumenthal theaters, so when we got tickets to see A Soldier's Play, Leah and Louise was our first choice for a pre-show dinner. We highly recommend it!

    Amazing server who helped us navigate the menu (Asia) and really fabulous food. Great environment and just the right amount of ambient noise. We are raving about our meal to our friends and cannot wait to go back. The meal portions were perfect and it allowed us to save room for dessert - something we highly recommend. Leah and Louise lived up to the hype and then some!!! The only negative was the online only option for our menu. It’s basically a QR code (which didn’t work on my wife’s phone) to a full sized PDF that you have to zoom into and slide around. It would be nice to have a menu that was designed for the phone.

    This is your restaurant if you’re open to trying something different. The ambiance was nice. The food overall was not great. Most of the dishes had too much salt. We had the river chips, cabbage, mussels, beef stew, and the roasted chicken dish which was a special. The drinks were ok. The couple sitting next to us didn’t enjoy their meal either. There menu was original which we liked.

    This was a date night for me and my wife, also the second time we been here I was very disappointed the best thing was our waitress she was very knowledgeable about the menu and polite but we sat down at 7:45 didn’t get our food for a hour actually 66 min later the general manager really didn’t seem concerned, although we didn’t get charge for our appetizers, she continued to make excuses. This really ruined a night out with my wife that we seldomly get to have will NOT go back!!!

    Highly recommend Leah & Louise as a top restaurant to go to in Charlotte! I have been to a lot of restaurants in the Charlotte area and this is easily my favorite from the delicious food to the amazing staff, especially Celeste!! Leah & Louise is a must! For appetizers, we ordered the River Chips, Leah’s cabbage and the mussels (On My Way Home) all were AMAZING but the mussels were exceptional!! Our entrees were just as delicious! You can’t go wrong with anything you order!!

    Our party of three agreed that we couldn’t decide what dish we liked the best- from the cocktails & appetizers to the dessert- As everything was stunningly delicious! We lived in New Orleans a long time ( a culinary feast) and we could not remember a better meal then this evening at Leah & Louise. We’ll be back with our friends! Thank you.

    Overall positive vibe, setting. Excellent table service. Lackluster green salad, but dressing was tasty. Mussel dish was outstanding. Fried catfish over grits and (mud) gravy was ... bland. Tang pie was novel and very tasty: a nice surprise ending.

    Inspired, clever and stunning flavors… thoughtful food creations that leave you speechless. The oysters, bread, catfish dish, frog legs, duck, cabbage in broth, and grits were each mind blowing and divine. If you appreciate artfully crafted food, you won’t leave unsatisfied. Not the place for the “giant plate full of average food” crowd that values quantity over quality.

    The food and drinks were exactly what we'd hoped for: interpretations of the familiar with an elevated pop, be it from lemon butter and Worchestershire with the mussels, the comeback sauce and chicken skins, candied peppers and pickled field peas with the catfish or popcorn with the apple/caramel dessert. Imaginative, yet down home. A great New Year's Eve meal.

    We have been wanting to visit Leah & Louise for quite some time now and finally got to this past Friday. We were absolutely blown away by the food, service, wine, and ambiance. It was far more than we ever expected and will definitely be back. The food was absolutely to die for, one of the best meals we have ever had! Thank you to the staff for making our Christmas one to remember in every way!

    Our food and waitress were amazing. Our only frustration was that the menu QR code was not working on any of our phones last night. The error message continued to be that there was a problem with the server. It only makes sense to me that the restaurant would have at least one paper copy of the menu. Because the QR code was not working and the website menu is not current, we weren’t able to see what drinks were on menu while we were waiting for our table. It would’ve been nice for us to go ahead and put a drink water in. Once we got to our table, our waitress did an excellent job explaining the cocktails to us. But delay meant that we waited a very long time to get our first drink
