LOVE Legal, but tonight was less than expected. Not great service, had to return chocolate moose desert, just not what we normally enjoy.
Their clam chowder is the best I've ever had. The last two times we had the same server and she was wo derful, even remembering our names
6 of us went for birthday dinner, order appretizers, entrees and dessert. Bill with tip over $400. I would never go again or recommend the restaurant. Food was poor qaulity, something you might get at Red Lobster or worse. Way over priced. I have no problem paying for something if it is good but this was a waste. I felt bad spending that kind of money on what we recieved. Also I didn't know it was in mall, had I known that I would have not gone. Many better restaurants near by for same or less money.
I had buffalo shrimp as app. Tiny little shrimp with buffalo sauce to dip in, green salad was just that but nuts were good, entree was the medium size stuffed lobster. Could not tell size difference from other order which was small, basically a lobster covered in Ritz crackers. Also had a crab cake I thought was fishy and dry. Kale side was just strange with I believe had honey and yogurt on it.
Dessert I had cheese cake which was ok.
Great overall. The atmosphere and service was impeccable.
Had a wonderful time here. Attentive, knowledgeable service for gluten-free patron. Ciappino was excellent. Late afternoon/early evening meal allowed us to hear each other, even hearing aid wearing patron.
I suggested Legal Seafood to my friend from Reading, PA, about 45 minutes away, to celebrate her birthday. She is a huge foodie and seafood lover so I thought it would be a great place for the two of us and another guest. Unfortunately, it was not. The birthday girl ordered clam chowder which was lukewarm, the Baked STUFFED SHRIMP Casserole, which was not stuffed at all, no crab, nothing but shrimp and crumb topping. The Caesar salad also looked and tasted like it had been dressed and sitting out for a while. The lettuce was limp. And that was just her meal. She doesn't like to complain but was very disappointed as well as I. I must mention that our server was very nice and accommodating. The service is the only thing that was satisfactory. I don't remember her name but she was great!
I had oysters, which were delicious, but there was a large shell which chipped my tooth. My mother told the server who grabbed a mid 40’s brown haired manager with glasses who walked away without consideration or an apology. He spent 10 seconds at the table in total and was very cold. The server got very defensive at that point stating “I hope you know it wasn’t my fault.” We understood that and reassured him repeatedly, but he turned off completely after that. I understand that mistakes happen, and it’s unfortunate that I chipped a tooth, but there is no reason we should have been made to feel it was our fault.
We have never experienced such horrible food!! Thought we would try them again, never will go back! Red lobster is a step better than this place! The family next us took my daughter's napkin right off of her! At least our waitress tried.
Waited 30 minutes for our tabke
Food was very good
Noise a little loud
One of us didn’t get their food until everyone else was done eating. They didn’t charge us for that but dinner was already ruined.
Anything prepared under a broiler was over done. Presentations were so so. Appetizer crab dip portion was ridiculous. It was lost in the bowl. Looks like they ran out of product.
Relaxing with a friend and good food in a beautiful restaurant
Arrived early so took advantage of 1/2 price “happy hour” oysters at the bar. Oysters were great although if took awhile to be “shucked”. Our friend arrived, we headed to our table and had a lovely dinner. Food was good and service wonderful albeit was a slow evening!
Went here for our NYE dinner. Legal Seafood (at least the Boston locations I've been to) used to set the gold standard for quality seafood restaurants. Unfortunately not anymore. The food was your typical, mediocre commercial restaurant chain fare. My wife's salmon wasn't bad, but the "grilled, market price" scallops I ordered were barely the size of quarters, overcooked, and lacked any flavor. Food I've had at Red Lobster was better quality and more flavorful than this. Quite a disappointment, especially for the premium they charge for supposedly the best seafood you can get. The waiter was nice and attentive, and I appreciate that they were able to accommodate a last minute reservation, but I wouldn't go back based on the quality of my food.
Celebrating New Year’s Eve. Food was beyond delicious as usual, but our waiter was only fair. He did his basic job, but was not very personable. He seemed stressed and preoccupied, so it threw off the overall vibe at the table.
We had a great dinner date at Legal on NYE. It was busy, and our server was very busy with other tables but it overall was a great night. Very fresh seafood.
New Year’s eve celebration dinner was nice.
New Years Eve dinner - our meal was great!
Burnt rice... did not take our order after being seated for 15 minutes, and the restaurant was not crowded!
Food very good as well as service. Will definitely return for another dinner.
Overall, it was an extremely disappointing meal. I had to send my drink back. My salad was super soggy. Fish and sides were very bland. I won’t be returning.
Good food and great service. We highly recommend your restaurant.
Terribly disappointing on all fronts. Incompetent server who was actually training another server. He never asked if we would like to order drinks. We had to ask. Mistakes on the drink orders did not surprise us.
Food was bland. Fried dishes were soggy. Cole slaw on my plate was warm. Why do you put Cole slaw on a hot plate?
Nobody in our party of 5 finished their food and we took nothing to go. The bill had the $7.50 chowder that never arrived. Water was slow to be refilled, and bread came out 20 minutes after ordering. It ended up being what you would expect for a restaurant in a shopping mall.
So i went to this restaurant on Christmas Day with a reservation in hand. The restaurant was very busy for a holiday evening when you would think most people would be with family members. As a disclaimer... this was the only place open that was relatively close to home on a holiday as i don't eat seafood at all... So my only complaint about the restaurant is that they ran out of steak (8 oz filet) a few hours before i arrived. When arriving for my 7:30p reservation, the host and waitress failed to disclose that the restaurant was completely out of steak as of 5p. i just feel if you don't have all the menu items in stock, tell the guest before they start ordering things from the menu!!! So i get seated, order a drink and as i'm ordering my meal (asking for the 8 oz filet bc i don't eat seafood) the waitress tells me they have no more. Now, i already have a salad and a glass of wine in front of me (that i have to pay for). Had i known this place did not have steak before being seated, i would have ordered nothing and just left. How do a restaurant run out of steak!!! The waitress was so nice about it tho... she tried her best to find me anything on the menu that i could eat... even if it was just sides.. The waitress was Dina and she received a nice "tip" for her efforts.. The cook made me a pasta dish with with white sauce and veggies... The food was "ok" at best. I did't finish it and thru it away..
Won't be back - to this or any location. Food OK, service extremely lacking. NO EXCUSE.
The food was excellent. Our server, Leslie, was wonderful and was very attentive to my food allergy needs. She was also very helpful and pleasant. The noise level was a little high as it was Christmas night, but that was to be expected on a holiday. I will definitely dine there again!
service was extremely slow and food was not good. had the shrimp casserole stuffing wasnt done and the stuffing was nasty
had a reservations for 5 pm - was seated at 520 - manager then came over to see if anyone had come over to our table - we said no - food was somewhat slow coming out of the kitchen - my mom ordered a salad with the peppercorn dressing - out comes a salad with looked like oil only - she tasted - so we sent back with manager who said he would bring out another - he never did - the server then was told there is no dressing on here - so they bring out another salad - it was the exact same way as the first one - so then we asked for a side of dressing - that was ok -
We spend Xmas dinner with Legal Seafood every year. This year wasn't as good as usual. Reservations for the same time each year 4:30. This was the First time we had to wait for a table. The bar was VERY Backed up. Oyster bar was very backed up which we ate after our soups. Mentioning soups, My Maryland crab soup had NO crab in it. Entree was ok, my dining companions had the Seafood casserole - which was try and full of breadcrumbs mainly . Desert was Bananas Foster - had to send it back. it was cold.
We spend $400-550 each year on the meal - not sure about next year........ wait staff - very nice!
Great meal for Christmas dinner...great portions ...outstanding waitress...just wish they had not run out of my favorite dessert key lime pie
Christmas Day with family
Great food as usual; moist fish, yummy steamers and always some clam chowder. We will be back.
Food is fresh and healthy, exceptional service, nice ambiance.
We enjoyed our meal . It was very good I would have given it 5 stars but my garlic bread was extremely hard like it had been put in the microwave.
Lunch here is a great addition to a day of shopping at the Mall. A chance to relax and refuel for more shopping!
It seems that Legal Seafood has an institutional system to deceive, when it comes to the size of their lobsters. The have ranges of sizes, which would be fine, however when you order the 2-21/4 lb lobster you some times get the midsize lobster and when you ask about the size they give an explanation that the mid size served at the table was at the top of the range and yours was at the bottom of the larger range. It’s Non sense, this has happened to me twice. When I made a fuss, the manager took the lobster off the bill. While accommodating, i still didn’t have the dinner I wanted. I won’t be back!
Fantastic as always!
For a chain Legal Seafood is quite nice. Food is very good. We had grilled salmon & grilled tuna. The New England clam chowder is excellent with nice dinner rolls. Service also quite good & friendly.
