We’ve been to a few different Legal locations over the years as we travel, but this was definitely my least favorite experience. I won’t say “worst” because really none have been awful to categorize that way, it just wasn’t great. Our server was very slow, and the restaurant was pretty much dead on a Tuesday evening. My friend ordered the Clam Chowder and Blackened Raw Tuna “Shasimi” as her entree, and I had the fish and chips. My friend’s tuna tastes like it was just completely covered in chili powder, no other spices or seasoning. Her chowder was great, my fish was good. The bread they brought out before the meal though was almost hard as a rock. You literally couldn’t break or bite the bottom of the roll.
Truth be told, dismayed how you have reduced your menu and selections. One of the items I enjoyed most was Cherrystone Clams. Neither Cherrystone or Little Necks were on the menu. What’s with that?
The lobster is always excellent, and because many customers decided to stay home, the noise level was very good for a business meal.
Thai calamari wasn’t crunch. It was soaked in its sauce and was more chewy.
Went for the 2 for $25 lobster special. It was absolutely divine. My partner and I’d bellies were super stuffed 😋
Good dinner and evening out with my son
Always happy at Legal Seafoods. They are very good at gluten free!
I go there regularly and almost always order the same dish (baked & stuffed lobster). This time the waiter forgot to serve bread and also didn't bring wet towels at the end, which is disappointing. The lobster was ok but a bit too salty.
Team was wonderful, very accommodating and mindful of food allergies. Service was wonderful and it was nice to have some many attentive people. Even thought it was a busy Saturday night we felt very cared for.
Good food, maybe a little to expensive.
It was amazing!! So kid friendly, which was impressive.
Food was so good!
Waiter was excellent!!
Tasty lobster as advertised
I have always enjoyed dining at Legal Seafood espcecially at the airport before a flight. However I've found that Legal Seafood has gotten very commercial. The crab cakes were great but my entree of grilled haddock with broccoli and rice was just mediocre. The drinks were ok but kind of just thrown at you. We ate at the bar and service was great and wait staff was very nice. Don't know if I will return to the one in Boston near the NE Aquarium anytime soon.
Food fresh and delicious - maxwell our sever was great
Rick was a fantastic waiter.
We know we can trust Legal to be just about perfect when it comes to doing what they do very well. This was one of those meals where we had no complaints at all. The space is slightly loud - but we knew that, it was not too loud, and we were able to have a comfy dinner and great conversation. Everyone had a completely yummy meal. The wait staff were exemplary. Our special requests to change up sides and sauces were 100% correct (and every one of us did have some request), and the billing was error free. The fish and seafood was perfectly cooked and presented.
Hey, Legal? Thank you for yet another perfect occasion with friends.
We were in town for an overnight college visit, and it was Vtine day so we made reservations...so glad we did, food was amazing, drinks were fantastic, and our server was terrific!! Will definitely go back next time we are in Boston!!
Nothing says Happy Valentines day like getting sat next to the bathroom in the bar on Valentine's day. Must have been that we had two kids with us. In my experience typically this special seat location is reserved for walk ups.
My daughter's grilled cheese was cold, but my son's fish and chips were great. My ciapinno was bland and overcooked. Wife's "medium baked stuffed lobster was definitely a 1.25-1.5 chick for 58$.
The highlight was the mussels appetizer, and friendly staff.
Good very good and very good service
Amazing crab cake for lunch. Perfect for our big group
Good food - I had a grilled salmon with kale... The waitress was attentive - pleasant service
The staff welcomed us and fulfilled our requests, the food was great and we were able to conduct our business uninterrupted.
This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Boston . We had a waiter who was fantastic and really knew everything on the menu . All of us changed our order to his recommendations and nothing disappointed. We had everything from crab cakes to stuffed lobster to steak . Everything was cooked on pointe . The desserts were also amazing . I wish we got the waiters name so you could ask for him but he was born in Casablanca and worked there for 17 years .
All was great except the waiter didn’t see to have a great grasp of the English language. You really needed to point at the menu.
As expected great seafood and service in pleasant surroundings
