At Lincoln Ristorante, we offer our interpretation of modern Italian cuisine in New York at Lincoln Center. Our philosophy is simple: to source the best local ingredients and prepare them with authentic Italian methods and spirit. Our location beside Lincoln Center’s reflecting pool and the Henry Moore sculpture is exquisite, with panoramic views of the campus.

The cuisine at Lincoln Ristorante blends precise technique with the ingredients and comforting feel of an Italian kitchen. We rely on local farmers and purveyors along with weekly visits to our neighborhood Tucker Square Green Market, while importing the essential items (Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes) from Italy that are irreplaceable.

Once again enjoyed the extended Restaurant Week menu. Ordered different things. Equally good.

We sat at a booth without adequate lighting. It was so dark, one of our guests could not see her food. In addition, we waited over 25 minutes for our entree’s.
We’re not sure what happened this visit because usually our time in this restaurant is a wonderful experience

I loved the restaurant. However You Guys sent the wrong time.
They called me at 5:30 and the reservation was for 6:30.
Then they called me again and the reservation was sent at 6:00 pm.

I was stressed out trying to find the place.

Lincoln is a lovely restaurant with delicious, well-prepared food in a sleek, modern elegant setting. It’s a wonderful choice before or after a performance at Lincoln Center or for any special occasion. They have a large and dedicated staff who are mostly very gracious and solicitous. That said, on occasion service could be better. Our server did not ask if we wanted to coffee with dessert and when I inquired he said he thought his colleague had asked when she brought the dessert.

Also, for an expensive, high end restaurant they do some odd things. For example, we ordered our custom negronis “up” which is listed on the menu as available “up or on the rocks”. The only price listed on the cocktail menu for the negroni is $20. When the bill came the charge for the negronis was $22 each. When I inquired the server told us it was an “up charge” of $2 for having the drink “up”. If you feel the need to do that - and when the cocktail is already $20 you shouldn’t need to - at least list the up charge on the menu.

It’s always a lovely experience at Lincoln, but little things like that rankle.

We had a lovely dinner after the Met Opera Saturday matinee. One of our party of three had a train to catch, and our servers were meticulous about making sure that she could finish her dinner without rushing and still have plenty of time to catch her train.

Lincoln has extended Restaurant Week menu until end of February. Offered a delicious lunch with reasonable wine options. Service was great.

I had a wonderful experience at Lincoln. The staff, starting with the hostess and throughout the meal, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The food was excellent and they have a fine wine list from which to select. Seating is comfortable and properly spaced so you can carry on a conversation with out straining to hear or to speak. Outstanding experience and I will look forward to returning soon.

What a pricey outstanding restaurant. The very definition of "you get what you pay for". Where else could you get Octopus ragu with homemade pasta in a fabulous sauce. Unique! Save up and go for a very special occasion. It will make it even more special!

A friend and I had the 2course price fixe menu—all four items were delicious. We found the quantities a bit large, however, and the menu lacked some of the lovely salad offerings we’ve enjoyed in previous visits. The menu seemed a bit heavier in general, but that may be a choice for the colder winter weather.

This is a fabulous restaurant - and would be even if it did not have the added feature of being part of Lincoln Center. The service is perfect and the food is exceptional! I have recommended it to many and have been there often. No-one is ever disappointed.

Food was especially disappointing but service and ambiance were very good. However, since I go for the food I probably won’t return. I’ve dined at Lincoln at least a dozen times and the food has become rather ordinary.

We have eaten here many times for dinner. Always a favorite when we attend performances at Lincoln Center. This time we took advantage of the 2 course brunch. White bean soup was delicious, not thick. The spaghetti carbonara was out of this world. Paired with wine it was a spectacular afternoon meal.

My appetizer of 5-minute egg over polenta with a garnish of brussel sprouts and Italian charcuterie was absolutely outstanding--a really imaginative combination of ingredients. My spaghetti carbonara was very tasty, especially with the fresh pasta. The dish, however, was not made in the traditional fashion, since cream was added to make the sauce smooth. I sympathize, since simple as the dish seems, it is very hard to combine the traditional ingredients without making lumps or "scrambling" the eggs. The dessert of blueberry crostata (something of a misnomer since the word doesn't apply to a cake) was just so-so. All in all, however, a very satisfying meal. In enjoyed the Sicilian chardonnay.

My family had a wonderful experience at Lincoln Ristorante at a pre-show dinner. Service was kind, helpful, and unobtrusive. They paid careful attention to allergies and preferences. The ambiance was comfortable and it was easy to have a conversation. The meal was delicious - we all enjoyed different dishes from the prix fixe pre-show menu. We were also celebrating my grandmother's birthday, and they made her dessert a special surprise. On our way out, she asked that we come back again and we all shared the sentiment!

I have been a frequent diner at Lincoln over the years. The food is wonderful, but the last experience has me wondering whether I will return. I arrived at 5:30 since I had a 7:30 curtain. The waiter asked several times when our curtain was and we were explicit. The meal, although slow was pleasant, UNTIL IT CAME TIME FOR DESERT. It was ordered at around 6:50 with plenty of time we thought to have it before we needed to leave. Our coffees came around 7:05 and we were told the dessert was on its way. WE STORMED OUT AFTER PAYING THE BILL AT 7:15 TO WATCH OUR DESSERTS BEING DELIVERED TO OUR TABLE. I could not contain my HUSBAND outbursts on how outrageous the SERVICE had been. THIS CAN BE THE RUINATION OF A GOOD RESTAURANT BUT OF AN EXPENSIVE ONE IT CAN BE DEATH....It will a very long time before we return....there are plenty of other places in the neighborhood that know how to deal with theatre ties....like BOULUD SUD, etc....

We’ve been many times and it’s been our go to for special occasions for the past eight years in the neighborhood. . We were disappointed the last time we went, but gave it the benefit of the doubt. Service was horrendous on a relative basis. The wait time between courses had us looking for servers. The sommelier was non-existent. The food is still very good, but the portions have become too large to be enjoyable. Unfortunately we’ll now be looking for a new go to. For what it’s worth, this is probably our first ever Open Table review, which is telling.

The food presentation was gorgeous for the cod! - and my friend said as good as it looked.
My entree was pasta which was delicious and a little unusual.
The raw fish appetizer also was beautiful, different, and tasted marvelous.
It’s nice yo get a little amuse bouche first.
And dessert was yummy too.

Arrived fifteen minutes prior to our reservation time and were told our table wouldn’t be ready until the actual reservation time. Once seated, the dining room was only 1/4 full with several two tops open so it was strange to be made to wait to be seated. It almost seemed like they were trying to create an appearance of demand that wasn’t there. We were presented with menus, but one that was for lunch so it had to be switched out. Food options were nice. I had the pesto and truffle pasta and the beef. My boyfriend had the orchiette with lamb bacon and the beef. The pastas were very tasty and a bit heavy. The beef was average. It was nice to have the option for a nice glass of red that they serve via Coravina. I didn’t order dessert while my boyfriend had trio of gelato. They presented me with pistachio gelato so I wouldn’t feel left out. Nice touch and was delicious. For the cost it was an ok meal. Not sure I’d rush to come back but a nice option if you’re dining pre theater in that area.

We enjoyed our meal very much indeed. Service was extraordinary, starting from being asked about any food sensitivities in detail. We have some, so being offered gluten free breads to start got us off happily. Our server was very knowledgable, and helped us select two wines that were excellent, the Ippolito Pecorello from Calabria for example. The salads, then branzino and cod main courses were beautifully presented and delicious. Finishing off with sorbet, especially the cherry flavor, capped a perfect meal. We headed to the opera at the Met, stopping to compliment the chef on the way, after enjoying three hours of fine dining at a level we had not experienced for a very long time. Bravi!

Excellent food, good service, a lovely environment for pre-theater or special event. A bit on the expensive side and the prix fixe set-up doesn't lend itself to flexibility/options, but overall...a good restaurant if you feel like a true "dining out" experience.

Creative cuisine, solicitous but not obtrusive service, exquisite ambience. The prix fixe meal, even only two courses, could be a little heavy before or after an evening performance, but it is the ideal cap-off to a matinée. Expensive but worth it for a special treat, especially a romantic one.

We had a short window for lunch, and out waiter was wonderful, rushed our food, and made sure our check came as soon as the table was cleared. The atmosphere is great, everyone very friendly and accommodating. We had a restaurant week lunch so the price was right. My bean soup was delicious, and my friend loved her appetizer as well. We both had spaghetti carbonara, and here is our only complaint-- on the salty side. We will definitely give it another try.

We were there for the Restaurant Week lunch, and everything was excellent, including, of course, the price. Note: The restaurant is quite accommodating to vegetarians. None of the options on the Restaurant Week menu were vegetarian, but the two that I ordered were both modified for me without any fuss. (Not strictly vegan, but lacto-vegetarian.)
