We absolutely love this place. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, and the beer are amazing!
Delicious we had a wonderful time together! Would highly recommend.
We were seated in a timely manner. The dining room was clean and tables were well spaced with dividers between tables. The wait staff were very friendly and the service was terrific. We got our food in a timely manner and it was all excellent. I always recommend this restaurant to friends who visit our town.
Great food and phenomenal service.
Amazing experience, cannot wait to return! Great beer selection, delicious food.
Our waitress was super personable and provided excellent service. Order the nachos!
Fantastic food and service! Unfortunately we were in a tent with not a lot of heat. Just thankful they were open for New Year's Eve. I would definitely go back when ur Government opens things up again.
We went during one of the lock down times from wolf but they did a great job! The tent was large and heated the food was on point. The town was great to walk thru.
We go to Bulls Head at least once a month and love it there. Great food and drinks. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is excellent. This would be a 5-star review but the restaurant is serving outside in the tent because of COVID. Not their fault but not quite as nice. Even with that, their still our favorite place to dine.
Love to support this business in surviving in less than optimal times. They do a great job and are an important part of our community.
Everything was great. This restaurant has done a fabulous job following the COVID rules. The tent dining was fun and it was a perfect temperature inside even though it was cold outside. They have maintained their great quality even with the restrictions.
We so desperately wanted to eat out that I thought that a heated tent on the patio would be perfect.... but possibly due to the cold temps, the tent was not heated enough for our enjoyment. It would have been nice to have an insulated carafe for the coffee as after the first or second sip the coffee was cold... especially that which remained in the glass pot. Our food was very good but we were too cold to stay for desert.
Recommended by hotel and didn't disappoint.
Great atmosphere...great food... great service. A must do for a visit to Lititz.
I understand the strangeness of this time with Covid and the stupid restrictions but the ambience was ruined by those giant metal dividers with plexiglass I felt like I was in a cage
We had a wonderful meal! Service was excellent from Lori and the drinks and food were delicious as usual. The plexiglass dividers between tables made us feel safe.
Birthday dinner
I'm hoping this visit was one of a kind as it wasn't nearly as good as previous visits. The food was tasty but served at room temperature and quite frankly the bangers and mash was not good. The appetizer we ordered was delivered AFTER the meal and was cold which was disappointing since the scotch egg is a menu item that attracts us to this establishment. Luckily, the limoncello cake for dessert saved the evening as it was fantastic! Hoping the new name doesn't mean new philosophies in food service. We'll be back at least once more to determine if we are keeping the Lititz Springs Inn and Spa on our regular restaurant rotation. Based on our recent experience, I would not recommend Lititz Springs Inn and Spa to a friend at this time but hope a subsequent visit changes our mind. Stay tuned!!
We were seated in the outdoor tent as requested and we also got a table close to the heater outlet as requested to stay as warm as possible in the outdoor tent. There was little or no wind on Tuesday and the heater did a great job in keeping us warm. The waitress was also very responsive. Good job.
Absolutely awesome! Loved the atmosphere and the food was great!
Great food, service, and destination to sample a wide variety of beer
Menu needs updated. Same as always and very boring Need more variety. Our waitress was rude and made the evening miserable. Same waitress rude every time we are there. Love the location and the ambiance but that may be my last time there
We've been going here 3 weeks in a row, and will continue to until they close the outside dining,.
Everything about it is great, safe feeling in these covid times. Usually 7-9 of us early dining senior citizens. This last week a musician was added. He took requests for tips and we all enjoyed it immensely. Several of us danced. Again, so nice in these times.
Waitstaff and hosts are professional and wonderful. Thank you for being there for us,.
Food is great, bartenders know how to make a really good drink.
We ate on the patio to be precautious about the virus. Our food was delicious as always. We had the bison burger and the Bullshead burger.
The tables under the tent are unadorned probably because of the virus. Just metal chairs and tables. Our waiter was attentive and efficient.
We had the usual truck noise, but today the police cars and fire trucks were deployed over a 20 minute period or so and the noise heightened to an extreme decibel! Nobody’s fault, both departments happen to be there at the same corner.
Always a great food experience, though!
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
This is our favorite place for a great lunch. Great beer list food is top notch English pub food. We’ve never been disappointed.
Lunch was served on the patio, which was fine with us, especially during a pandemic, but the street noise was deafening at times.
The food was fine, the service was very good.
If you happen to be in Lititz it's a good place to grab a quick bite.
Our favorite place for dinner. Trust us...WE LOVE IT
The restaurant does a nice job in utilizing Covid-safe practices.
Our server Katie was awesome.
9 of us. Sat outside under tent. We had a great time.
The staff was very accommodating and attentive. Our dinners were very good and the dessert (pecan pie) was better.
We love going to Lititz Springs Inn and Spa. It is great to eat outside right now and they have a heater so we can keep going.
The General Sutter is an absolutely gorgeous property, it’s too bad that their food can’t match the atmosphere. First, we were rushed from the minute we were seated and pressured from our server to place a cocktail order. No sooner did the cocktail hit the table and we were again pressured to place our food order. No problem we thought, most kitchens will hold an order so you have time to enjoy your drink and more importantly, order more drinks with your meal. Not here, our apps were out within a few minutes and we had just started our cocktails. Ok, get the apps down. Watch out, here come the entrees! So here we are, our cocktails, half eaten apps and now entrees all on the table at the same time. Time for the entree and my mashed potatoes are stone cold and not from a minute or two sitting on the table. Stone cold. I notify the server and she happily agrees to bing me additional potatoes. Unfortunately, she only brings potatoes with no additional gravy and onions which are stuck to my cold potatoes on my Bangers and Mash entree. So my meal was pretty much plain mashed potatoes and two tiny sausages. My wife’s Vegetarian Tikka Masala was a different story, served hot and the flavors were delicious. Too many missteps here, General!
Good food. We sat outside on the patio, in a tent. I had inquired before booking if they had heaters on the patio. I was told they did. If they did, I didn't see any. Will go back as outside seating restaurants are few and far between locally, will just dress warmer!
The waitstaff was over worked but still not an amazing job taking care of 7 of us.
Everyone said they enjoyed the food they ordered.
The mixed drinks were not weak. That's always a good sign.
Good overall choice. Great wine and beer selection. Great ambiance. Food is good but not great.
Came here for a special occasion. The waiters were very nice and accommodating, and the food was amazing!
The dinner was perfect. I love the tomato soup. It was a great evening.
Enjoyed the meat pie from the pub menu. Great flavor and crust.
Did not have Beefeater Gin on hand. The two martinis received were small, watered down, and not served in martini glasses. The calamari app at $13 was disappointing, being mainly comprised of tentacle pieces. The broiled crab cake entrees were over-broiled (blackened), but better overall than most restaurants in the same price range. The General Sutter is fortunate to be one of a very few restaurants in the quaint destination town of Lititz, Pa.
Great food, great atmosphere, love the small town atmosphere and good service.
